The MFM doc said 2 more weeks at the most as my cervical length went down to 2 cm and I'm actively contracting. I had a visit from the NICU resident who assured me that the boys will be very well taken care of and will probably only need O2 for 2-3 days.
I'm trying to get help at home for our other kids. A couple of neighbors have offered to take them anytime which is nice to know in case my husband has to come here in the middle of the night.

Kjm: Gap has great basic tops online. Nothing hangs out either. Motherhood may have some polos as well.

Mellow: I hope you and your family are starting to heal, lots of hugs and prayers for you all.

Lou: cute little bump you've got there :)
Gina- I am keeping you and your boys in my prayers. You are in good hands. Xoxo

I'm so incredibly busy with moving... getting the ENDLESS paperwork together, going to appointments, and trying to pack... that I only have time to read everyone's updates, personals seem next to impossible right now. Please know that I'm here cheering everyone on and keeping all of you in my thoughts and prayers!

Okay, quick update. I'm 3 cm dilated and 50% effaced so now we're down to hours or a day instead of weeks. I'm laying in this comfy (not) hospital bed trying not to move an inch and buy them as much time as possible. I will try to post pictures once they arrive.

Feels good to have reached the 24 mark where there is a chance, now on to the 27-28 milestone!
I'm with you girl! When I hit 24 weeks last week I was so relieved for a few minutes... Then like you thought, ok let's focus on 28! That's when I will start buying furniture and other things my little girl will need! Keep up the great work. :)

Gina - Oh, wow!! I hope you and the boys are ok! Please keep us posted and we'll keep you and your little guys in our thoughts!

Chris - Hopefully all is ok. I know so many of us had bleeding and/or spotting at some point early on so hopefully it's nothing major. Please keep us posted!!

AFM, we had our baby shower with my family over the weekend and it was wonderful. We got so many beautiful gifts and it was so great to see family and some friends, some of whom I hadn't seen in years! Here are a couple of shots of my DH Diego & me at the shower (27w3d).

Chris - call your Re maybe he can schedule a US for peace of mind! Welcome to the GD club, it is not that bad!

Gina - good luck and glad the doctors are so reassuring

Amanda - could you guys be more glowing and proud? Tooo cute! Love it!

Karen - I am very happy for you that you passed the 24 week mark too, 28 will be here before we know it!

kjm - LMAO of your comment on smothering your clients with your boobs! Check out Old Navy, they have good coupons and some shirts where your boobs don't fall off, also maybe try some nursing tops, they have all sorts of hidden panels and extra bras and coverage, they have normal clothes but look at the reviews first. I bought this shirt and it fit great: it is only $10 now http://oldnavy.gap.com/browse/product.d ... =811706002 their yoga pants are thick and don't look like work out pants, I live in them for comfort!

Mellow- you are such a strong woman and I am happy you have such a supportive family! I remember in 2008 there was a girl that lost her twin girl around the same time 26 weeks, and her other twin was born perfect. So I am very sorry for your loss but concentrate on your little Marlo now.

I know its still a little early but Im really hoping to be jumping over to this side of the boards very soon. I have cycled with some of you before so its great to see how cute your little bellies are getting as those little ones grow. I wont have my first ultrasound until may 4...seems like an eternity. But as of now things are looking good. We did a fresh cycle with a 5dt and transferred 2 blasts and 1 that was almost to blast on april 5. I tested positive with a HPT on April 11. First beta 4/15 was 667 and then today it came back at 2244 which she said was better than they expected. Hoping for the best but I just know this one is it and we will be bringing home a baby this year!

Blair: So happy to have you over here!! I know that betas are no guarantee, but with betas like yours...very similar to mine....I wouldn’t be surprised if you have 2 (or 3  ) baking in there! Can’t wait for your u/s!!

Gina: Best of luck!! Looks like everything is taken care of...wishing you a smooth delivery! You sound so amazingly calm.

Amanda: Gorgeous photos!! Thanks for sharing...you two look radiant at the shower. :D

Mellow: You are still in my thoughts and prayers. As Rio said, you are such an amazingly strong woman.

Chris: Sorry about the GD...and the bleeding. When do you go next for u/s? I’m with Rio, I’d schedule one to reassure yourself. My OB has been great in that department. I have had 6 u/s in the past 2 1/2 weeks..not counting the one at the ER...no exaggeration.

Jamila: Thanks for checking in and sharing!! Congratulations!! Glad to hear that all is going well with your little one.

Lyd: I saw that video a couple weeks ago and it so cracked me up! And Lyd, I agree with your puzzlement as well regarding IVF and ectopic. My first cycle I had a DOUBLE ectopic. One embryo was implanted in my tube and the other on my ovary. It made no sense to me how they could’ve gotten up there and no one has been able to give me a reason other than, “it sometimes happens”. I was almost 8 weeks before it was diagnosed. Being almost 9 weeks now that seems crazy to me since I have been seeing my raspberries in my uterus for over 2 weeks now.

Rio: Glad that all seems to be going well with you and your little girl!! 25 weeks...wowee...probably seems that time is going slowly for you, but for me your time is speeding by! :D

Leora: Hope that you are getting relief from the HG. You poor thing!! :( That weight loss is not good...I have lost about 5 lbs, but over the past month. In one week seems like something they should be monitoring and helping you with. My NT scan is a week after yours...best of luck!! Praying that all will be well.

Ashley: Glad that all turned out well with your “sleepy” baby during NT. Sounds very adorable! Less than 2 weeks until you get to see your OB doctor. Hope you get another peek! :D

Kay: Have they diagnosed your bleeding as related to a SCH? Or is it unknown causes? When I went to the hospital on Thursday they used that same “threatened abortion” diagnosis with me. Not exactly very reassuring, is it? Take it easy, drink lots of fluids, and go to doctor whenever you need to. I was feeling like I was being a nuisance, but my OB totally understands how much we have gone through for this pregnancy. Hope that you have as great an OB.

AFM: Sorry to be amiss for a few days. I have been struggling with my SCH and bleeding episodes which has had my spirits down. I went back to work on Thursday and had to leave before noon because the bleeding was so heavy. I was in bed at noon and since the bleeding failed to stop ( a heavy pad every 30-45 min) the nurse told us to go to ER at about 5pm. Long night there...bumbling doctors who knew nothing about a hematoma...but we finally got my blood drawn and u/s to confirm the raspberries are ok. My hemaglobin dropped from 12 (at OB office the day before) to 9 at the hospital. I guess I need to be taking some iron supplements? He said that wasn't too low. Anyway, bleeding finally slowed down over a few days, although still red, and I went to see OB this morning. He is concerned because the SCH has grown. Both raspberries are growning on target with good healthy HB’s, but there is a risk the SCH could cause a miscarriage regardless. So--it is bedrest for me. For 4 weeks. Sigh. I am going to go insane. My boss (is in Mexico at the moment) will have a fit when she gets back. Oh, well. I gotta do what I gotta do to keep my raspberries safe. Don't like to be a downer. I am grateful to be where I am, just wish it wasn't so stressful. NT scan in 2 1/2 weeks and then next OB visit the following week--assuming all goes well.

Thanks Margie for sharing your double ectopic story. wow - i didnt know! eventhough its in your siggie - i somehow thought that's what caused you to do the ivf in the first place. so you got ectopics during your first cycle and two of them no less! urghhh - very frustating isnt it. mine wasnt diagnosed till week 7 or so either. it just didnt hurt me at all. but beta kept rising ever so slowly so they finally saw it on the u/s.

sorry to hear you are on bedrest. 4 weeks can be maddening! and the work stuff is tough, too. but time will pass, your sch will heal and you will hold your babies in your arms and it will all be just a footnote in your journey.
i had 1 week of bedrest during my pregnancy - luckily work wasnt a problem. i was able to get up and prepare a little food to eat for myself. so it wasnt bad - it was relaxing. lots of netflix!!! but not going outside was a bummer.
