I was going to UConn...4 tries total as of September '09...1st try was a BFP, but ended up being a chemical...all BFNs after that. So, we decided to switch it up & are doing a cycle at Yale.

Have you had a 2nd opinion w/ any other REs?

No that's what we are deciding now. How did u like uconn? I am looking at them based on the rates of success for a consult. I don't understand why there success rates are almost double from the rest in ct?

I am in ct too. I see dr Levi, park ave fertility in trumbull. Awesome guy and office. I had sucsess with him first time around ( we are severe male factor). Since then we have had 3 failed attempts, but I am confident it has nothing to do with RE.
Me- 28 DH- 33 Male Factor
1st IVF- 12/07- BFP! Ella Michele was born 8/26/8
2nd IVF- 04/09 - BFN
1st FET- 09/09 - Chemical
3rd IVF - 04/11 - Embies didn't make it to ET
4th IVF - Fall 2011??

Sorry, I totally missed this post! Thanks! It went well. Out of 14 eggs, 9 fertilized...the highest number & percentage we've ever had. They actually decided on making it a 5dt...SO NERVOUS!!! We've always had a 3dt, so waiting 2 more days is very nerve-wracking. Please pray for my embabies & that they make it back safe to their momma & snuggle in there for 9 months!

I liked UConn. We were seeing Dr. Benadiva & he's a very smart RE...very by the book! His personality is very neutral if that makes any sense. He doesn't really show any emotion. I think their success rates are the highest in the state b/c they are very picky in who they choose to treat. I don't know; that's my guess. I was actually looking at their success rates on the sart website last night & comparing them to yale's success rates. There's definitely a difference, but it's also important to not look at yourself just as a statistic. Yes, statistics are important, but you also have to be comfortable w/ whatever you decide. Let me know if you have any more questions or just want to chat :-)

I'd go with UConn or RMA.
Avoid IVF and surrogacy in Ukraine. Ukrainian centers pay shills to post here under numerous sock accounts pretending to be patients in Ukraine. Centers using such deceptive advertising cannot be trusted and should be avoided.

Just a question..is this strictly due to the success rates?

No, but now that you mention it, they do pretty well for that region.

Thank you :-) Would you be able to tell me what the reason is? I'm just curious.

I don't know why the rates differ.

I have heard good things about UConn and RMA.
