estrogen patches vs. shots

my clinic used to use estrogen patches during fet protocol, but now they switched to shots. what does your clinic use for fet - patches or shots?
ME 40, DH, 43
#1 IVF BFN
#2 FET DS born
#3 IVF ectopic
#4 FET BFN
#5 FET Chemical
#6 IVF, BFP at 8dpo, beta 215, started out with twins, one vanished at 6 weeks, EDD 9/4/12

Mine uses patches. What type of shots? IM or subcutaneous? I've never used shots.
Me 34 endo, MTHFR, clotting issues
DH 47 semi-low morphology
TTC 6 yrs
3 IUI's all BFN
IVF#1: 10/08 BFP early MC
FET#1: 03/09 BFP
DS born 11/28/09

i dont know. i need to ask - i know htey are only twice a week. but i dont know if into butt or belly

Wondering if shots would be better than the patches? One reason my last IVF didn't work was my estrogen was too low...

Ditto this exactly. I miscarried because I wasnt absorbing the estrogen from the patches. I am now on estrace pills 3x's a day (vaginally, not orally). You could also do that. Mine went from 53 to over 1000 in 2 days on the pills.

Mine always used patches and pills. The patch would be once every three days and the pills were 3 times a day. Good luck with your cycle!

I used patches. After our FET in Feb, I was up to 5 patches every other day. I looked like a patchwork quilt. I had to do that until I was 8.5 weeks.
Me - 36 DH - 47 Problems w/ us both
Sept 2010 - IVF w/ ICSI - BFN (7 blasts frozen)
Nov 2010 - Surgery to remove fibroid & cyst on right ovary
(fibroid was found late in the process. Not seen w/ HSG or 1st US)
Feb 2010 - FET - eggs go in Feb 17
