Hi Dawn,
I am amazed how little weight you've got on - I have put on 8 kg i am afraid and the bump is big but then i am 5,7 feet (I think - 172 cm) and there is two of them so I guess it's ok. As for the tightness - tell me about it! I could not sleep from it for days on end but now it's a bit better. Babies move a lot and I can also see them do it now - it's great! Last night they both moved to one side and my bump looked ridiculously asymmetric - amazing actually! I will have an appointment on Monday - hope it includes a scan because I would love to see them but I am not quite sure what they will do in the hospital.
It's indeed easier with the clothes now - bump stops them from slipping so much!
love and take care,

The asymetrical bump thing only gets worse............... I always look like an out of shape mango and the bigger they get the more it hurts - quite take my breathe away. Have put on 2 stone now - not sure what this is in kilos but not on face or legs or backside - I am 5.4 and a HALF!!!!!!!!!! and nobody can tell I am pg from behind!

well done tracey,
very important that you look well from behind! :)
I will check how much 2 stone is, but I guess we obviously have more weight on with 2! I cannot wait to have their growth checked on Monday! and now I am off to a kind of a job interview, the last thing on my mind really but I wrote a project in january and now have to defend it, pity for the effort otherwise. but honestly, it is so difficult to get my mind to work I sometimes wish I could take the whole 9 months off work! When my students come to see me I have the feeling I've never seen them before! and I love my job. strange manifestation of pg brain don't you think?

Hi girls
How are you all doing? I love the sun too but am glad it's cooled down a bit now.
I'm all worried now about the weight thingy - do you think I could eat more chocolate??!!! Bump is growing nicely so I presume all is ok and I think I may suddenly pile it all on at the end!
I've just read Fiona's post re the hayfever and now feel guilty for taking 2 halves of Piriton so will not be having any of those anymore - bloody Dr's why can't they be consistant?
I also think I'm turning into a rottweiller - was feeling very hormonal and just wanted to yell at everyone yesterday and today feel like I want to burst into tears (I confess to a few tears watching Casualty on UK Gold today)! Is this normal behaviour as I haven't really experienced it until now?!
Anyway hope you all have a great weeekend
take care
Dawn

My god Tracey I had no idea you were so tall!!!!!!!!

........I'm 5.1 and THREE QUARTERS! Think I put about 2 stone on too, but about a stone of that was the fluid in my feet and ankles....lovely!

Anyway, hope all you fatties are ok (think I've got a case of bump envy).

Sue

good to hear from you - you make me smile - Mags is tiny I think - lots of twin mummies are - all very funny really.

Dawn don't worry about weight at all - hardly weighed myself at all and only recently am putting it on - not good to put on much weight and as long as the babies are ok - think mine is hobbit feet and mars bars

Juliana - hope all ok with you - it's sweltering over here and I am the deepest nut brown and then turn round.................... just the front going brown as can't do the back thing and have to sit in my chair with my feet up!
Love to all

Hi

People keep asking me if its twins but i don,t think i am all that big i just keep telling them what the midwife says because i am small (5ft0) the only place to go is out. Like you Tracey i don't look pg from the back. I have put about a stone on from start but i also lost half a stone at the beginning so maybe a stone and a half.
Feet are still swollen and don,t go down much. Someone asked midwife at aquanatal and was told to eat bananas (give me heartburn) and tomatoes, to make sure feet is above the heart or bump when lying down, just having them on a stool is no good and to raise the end of the bed.
Fingers are sore (cramps and tingling) especially at night and in the morning, dropped my water in bed last night and had to sleep on a towel. Will say to midwife tomorrow was told at aquanatal might need a splint if it continues.
Sleep whats that, when i do fall asleep i wake up needing the toilet and can,t get back to sleep for ages or not at all. When dh gets up to go to work i just get up with him most of the time 5/6 in the morning and still struggle to get to sleep and can,t sleep during the day.

Sorry for the moan, tired and crabbit.
got my first antenatal class tonight.

Oh Helen poor you

Makes me realize I am fine really. Have swollen feet in this weather and when have been on my feet all day but go down again. My fingers have swollen slightly but not painful - mainly the weather so up my fluid intake. As for sleep well do get up around every hour to hour and a half for the loo but go straight back to sleep and always have an hour in the day if not too hot.
Take care Helen and see what relief you can get

hi all,
I gues the weight gain varies a lot and we should all just relax. as for the heat it's quite warm here today again, I could also do with cool weather. not swelling so much but my veins are getting dangerously big and bladder wakes me at 6 and then I do not get to sleep any more! I sympathise with you Helen! I think Tracey is doing very well with the symptoms - somaybe you will make it to 40 weeks indeed Tracey!

Tracey,
how have you been girl, on both this thread and the other you sound like it's getting a bit heavy for you? Another growth spurt? the heat does not help really. I better wish you less than 40 weeks, let's say just enough for the girls to be a healthy weight!
I am moving in with my dp these days, so stressful. I cannot lift anything obviously but just sorting my stuff out and going to work takes all my energy. At least I had a relatively good week with a bit more energy, although today have this maddeningly tight belly again. I cannot wait till I've moved (1 july, the movers will come next week) and then I can relax and let dp cook for me and rest on the soaf in the evenings instead of both of us having to shuffle from one house to another all the time!
love,
juliana
