mamaboo - At my unit in the UK we only have a HPT to detect if we are pregnant or not. I've only done 1 test on the test day and it came up a clear dark line straight away. When I've spoken to the nurses in the unit they are very confident that if a HPT shows a positive you are pregnant and vice versa. I've never been a POAS person only because the nurses have recommended not to so I never have. We don't have no blood tests - only our first scan which is 3 weeks after the test day (mine is 12th May). I've been tempted to POAS again but I'm not. I've got a positive and I'm sticking with it! haha I've realised after reading a lot of posts on here that treatments vary a lot in the USA and UK, although similar techniques. I've never had a positive in my past 4 cycles and I have been on the same drugs throughout apart from being on more drugs with a FET.
I'm keeping up with the PMA and taking each day as it comes. I'm enjoying this part (even tho I'm so scared & nervous) as I've never got this far before!!
Wow what a difference a day can make. I was admitted to the hospital yesterday afternoon after the spotting became more of a concern and I was having stronger contractions. They are trying to calm things down, but as soon as it's time for more meds I am contracting all over the place. As of yesterday afternoon I was dilated 1.5 and my cervix length was 2.4, and 70% effaced. So, I am hooked up to monitors, and taking Procardia to help the contractions which in turn is giving me a headache. I am praying that my little one stays in a lot longer, but in case she doesn't they gave me a steroid shot last night and will give me another tonight. Please keep us in your prayers if you are the praying type. This is scary and oh so early.
Mellow -- I'm so sorry to hear this! I am praying for you and your precious little girl. I really hope she can stay in a bit longer. Please keep us posted if you can.

Mellow.....I have been so worried about you. I have been praying for you and little Marlo. I haven't had a chance to post lately and am having contractions too, so it's hard for me to sit at the computer. I will continue to pray and send you positive thoughts. You're going to keep her in there for at least two more months. I know you can do it. ((((HUGS))))
Oh Mellow - I'm sorry you're going through such a scary time. Praying that they can control those contractions and dilation and little Marlo can stay put for awhile longer. Please keep us posted as you can and know that we're thinking of you and Marlo.

Thank you. I forgot to mention that this mornings ultrasound showed that she is weighing around 1lb 10oz. So that is good news. She seems to be doing well in the weight department. I have to have something to hold on to.
mellow- Sounds like Marlo is right on target for weight but hopefully she will end up staying in a little longer. Try and rest as much as you can and keep that little girl safe. Best of luck and keep us posted.
Mellow you and little Marlo are in my prayers. Please try to rest and focus on keeping your uterus as relaxed as possible...lots and lots of hugs
AFM I got the results of my pap and all is NORMAL...thank God I am so happy as always to hear that I am still cancer free I lost my uncle to kidney cancer this week and it is so hard to see so many family members claimed by this terrible disease especially when I myself am in remission and constantly pray that it doesn't come back...thank you ladies for all of your encouragement. Also I wanted to ask the ladies who are not carrying twins when you started having occasional BH contractions? I get maybe 1 or 2 a day but it seems early I didn't have any with my son until 28 weeks

Mellow....I am so sorry that you are going through yet another scare. I cannot wait until you and your family are home enjoying a happy, healthy, bouncing little Marlo. You so deserve some normalcy. I am the praying type, and although you've been in them all along, I'll send up a few extras for you, Marlo and your family. Keep cookin momma!
Leora...Congrats on hitting 12 weeks and not even realizing it!
Anna...Congrats on cancer free! What wonderful news. I know I'm carrying twins, but I felt my first BH just the other night....quite strange!
Vicky...Welcome and CONGRATS!!!!!!
Blair...That's a great third beta! As far as the nursery goes...I have a very black and white style. The whole house is decorated in blacks, whites and creams. DH and I picked out a very neutral beige paint that we are slowly painting the entire house. The plan was for the nursery to be that color all along, so no big deal when it was one of each. Our nursery bedding is black and cream French toile and gingham. I'll post a pic below of the paint with the changing table cover.
As a said to Blair....here is the paint color with a piece of the nursery bedding up against it. Looks to have a pinkish tint, but that's just the lighting and my camera phone. We aren't doing anything else in there yet because we are going to re-do the floors first. Can't wait to see the cribs all put together!!!
