yes Jasmin so:
Here is my personal experience...... infertility due to husband's low sperm motility. IVF is our only option.
1- inject myself with Gonal F in my tummy and dont worry they do not hurt at all
2 - . Visit the doctor about 3 times during this process for ultrasounds and bloodwork. (They check to see if you are developing follicles and if your estrogen level is increasing)
3- Once your follicles are mature you will take an HCG trigger shot to cause ovulation in 36 hours.
4- Egg retreival is scheduled 36 hours after the HCG trigger shot. Your follicles will be "floating around" in your uterus at this time and they will insert a vaginal wand and take out each follicle individually with a needle. I will put under general anethesia. doesnt hurt much except for cramps feelings.....
5- wait 3 to 5 days, depending on how the embryos develop. (up the RE decision)
6- Embryo Transfer (taked about 5-10 min) doesnt hurt at all
7- 2 waiting Weeks

Hi girls,

I just went for my IVF orientation, mock trial, and internal check yesterday. Looks like I will be starting my meds (Lupron) around the 3rd week of May. AF should arrive at the end of April and then I will start the meds 21 days after. This will be my first IVF attempt. Good luck and keep me posted on your progress I posted over on the summer board as well.

I will start my treatment hopefully around the 9th of May, Im currently on BP so as to time the cycle because I will be travelling to another country for ivf.

I'm also starting my first IVF cycle in about 2 weeks. I'm currently taking birth control pills, it was the first thing they put me on which I'm not sure if everyone does this. I'm really excited to get the process started and nervous too of course. Good to know there are other ladies out there dealing with the same thing. Best of luck to you!

I am also waiting for my very 1st cycle in 2 weeks. gonna get my injection teach this Friday. I really want 2 free myself from too much worries Normal people, they just do not understand this whole process of going through such thing. So I am glad that I found u guys. I am also posting over April/May board.

welcome, Im also doing my first attempt in May, have been on birthcontrol pills for more than 2 weeks now and will take the last one beginning of May.

Jasmine79- Welcome! You are right normal people do not understand. Its hard to understand something you are not going through no matter how hard they may try. we will be your cycle buddies!!

Thanks for all the support! I was very happy to find this chat group. I have to admit, I am not familiar with any of the codes that I see everyone using so I feel out of the loop a bit, lol. I just got a very large box of meds from freedom fertility today and am really intimidated by all the needles, but I figure I will get used to them. Did most of you go through a training to adminaster all the meds because I did not and I am not completely sure what I am doing. Just a little background on me... My husband and I have been ttc for 4 years and we have not been diagnosed with anything at this point. So I am in the "unexplained infertility" group which sometimes I feel is good and sometimes bad. Hopefully by the end of this process I will know why we could not conceive naturally. We are working with a great doctor in Colorado and I am very optimistic and excited and nervous all at the same time.

Bizzy- you will get used to the codes! I google'd some to be honest, but you can just ask! I am still unfamiliar with some of them as well. I havent gotten my injectibles yet but I do know that I have to take and online course when I get them thats about 1-2 hours but I have to wait to get the meds because the prescription number will be my password to the site.

Hello guys!

I just found this board and thought I would join. Here is my story:

I am 39 I have had two BFN cycles. I cycled in 2002 with my ex husband and again this past January with my great new husband of almost 5 years. I have two girls from my first marriage that are almost 15 and almost 16 both coceived without help. I had my tubes tied when my youngest was born and the dr did such an excellant job IVF is my only choice. I do have a good AMH level . Before the January cycle it was 3.8. I have no idea what it is now cant be that much lower. I have done the testing for natural killer cell and its negative and my lining is good for an old fart. I guess my infertility issue is the tubal being tied and old eggs since I will be 40 in January. I am on my 3rd attempt this month. I started Lupron on the 8th then switched to ganerelix a few days later. I started my stims on Monday. I have had 3 shots of Follistim and start Menopur tonight. I did take 2 estrodial shots last week , doing a estrodial suppository and steriod now with Prenatals and grapeseed to help. I go in for a check on Monday wish me luck. This will be my last attempt before I turn 40.

However, I could not find all. I would really find it super helpful if someone make a short list of them.
