GHOST or ANYONE-IVF worked now cant get BFP with FET? WHY???

With my first marriage I had no problems getting pregnant and had 2 beautiful daughters. After they were born I had my tubes tied. Years later I found the love of my life and had my tubes untied and became pregnant but it turned out to be an eptopic pregnancy that burst and I lost one tube and the other tube became blocked with scar tissue. So we did an IVF cycle in 2007 and became pregnant with my son with 8 blasts in the freezer. Last year we attempted our first FET cycle with BFN and then another this past March, also BFN. We are trying for a final time with FET May 12th and it is very bittersweet because this is our final fertility treatment of any kind. We are so very blessed and as another would be wonderful my heart cant take another disappointment. I take all my vitamins and suppliments as I should and eat well and I even do acupunture. I just dont understand why IVF worked and FET has not. What am I doing wrong? Any ideas or advice would be greatly appricated by anyone.

I did 4 fresh IVF transfers and 2 FET's. I got BFP's on 2/4 or 50% of my fresh cycles and 0/2 or 0% of my FET's. I've known other women to be the opposite... they get BFP's only on FET's. Who knows why?

It's weird but I can't get pregnant off fresh. FET is the only one that ever implanted. I think there is no logical explanation!! Good luck on your FET, sounds like your doing everything right!!

What was your FET protocol? When did you start estradiol and progesterone?

it might not be you - it might be the way the embies were frozen and then thawed. they've made a lot of improvements in freezing/thawing techniques since 2007. you may want to look at your clinic stats for frozen cycles vs. fresh and ask how their freezing/thawing technuques compare to other clinics.

I've gotten 2nd and 3rd opinions on my FET protocol and everyone says it's fine..

I've had 3 FETs --- all BFN
I've had 3 fresh -- all BFP

doctors say it's just coincidence. More often, women who get BFN from fresh get BFP from FET because there is less hormone therapy.... I'm just an odd one!

Six days? Hmmm....

In FET the main problem is usually the embryos. Freezing is tough on them. But your progesterone start sounds a little early compared to what I have seen. My clinic keeps it at 5 days of progesterone before transfer. And yes, progesterone timing can be important.

@Ghost-Well I start the progesterone on the 6th at night and my transfer is on the 12th in the afternoon...so technically I will not have had my 6th shot until after my transfer. Does that sound more like what you are used to?

We do one day less than that.

@Ghost-in your opinion if I were to start the progesterone one day later, so 5 days before transfer would that hinder anything else? Does your office seem to have a higher success rate with FET. I am willing to try anything to make it work this time?

We do well with FET.

Looks like their frozen embryo results are pretty average. 31.6% live birth per transfer in patients <35 years old. The national average that year was 35.5%.

They don't report to SART and were not a SART member in 2008. I had to get their results from the CDC. 2008 is currently the most recent available from the CDC.
