Hello all

Just thought I would amuse you all with this little email Nikola sent me - she did not say to keep it quiet  though on the other hand did not say tell everyone either  Just wanted you all to know how she is

She is missed bless her and this is her first week on her own - her DH has gone back to work and last week her mother was up - yikes twins! I am sure you all want to send her loads of love so here goes........

hi its me!

girls are asleep in the living room - florence on the sofa and amelia in her chair......i'm in the attic so can't be long. don't like leaving them down there on their own - jeremy is keeping a watchful eye on them.....

i have new dog walker - the boys love her. so this is a huge relief.

had a nightmare night with the girls, they would't go back to sleep after their 2am feed, so only 2 hours sleep for me. not good!

this morning was changing amelia at 6am before her feed and she shat on me! in my face!!! all over the carpet, walls and paddington bear nappy stacker!!!! Not happy.

guess what, the NEW washing machine is bust! I am seriously pissed off. WE've only had it about six weeks...........the man is coming tomorrow to mend it! It must be overuse........we do about 10 loads a day now!!

Love
Tracey

Thanks for sharing Tracey. That's given me a good laugh (the messy bit) after a long and stressful day at work! Sorry Nikola but I have the good fortune to be have never been at the receiving end of nappy contents although I can remember Charlotte deciding to christen her bedroom carpet just as half of my colleagues from school arrived to meet the new arrivals. (And I've got mess galore to come with the prospect of double potty training on the horizon.)

Lack of sleep is the worst thing and I really feel for you. I hope that both girls give their Mummy a decent rest tonight.

Don't worry about leaving them alone. Charlotte in particular has developed great independent playing skills because I left them both to play alone from an early age (when I say alone, I was still in the neighbourhood, if not in the room!).

Take care.

Love Jules

P.S. A gorgeous sight greeted us as we went up to bed last night. Two little people were asleep cuddled up to each other on Charlotte's bed - VERY cute! You've got all of these joys to look forward to.
TTC 5 years. Daniel & Charlotte born 22.03.02, 1st ICSI treatment. TTC for 4 further years. 2nd ICSI cycle abandoned, 3rd cycle BFN. Looking forward to being a happy family of 4.

Tracey Sharp - I can't believe you copied and posted my email!!! I'll have to be careful what I put just in case........

well, I'm pleased its entertained you all!!

Not much sleep again last night, but I'm kind of getting used to surviving on 3-4 hours. Apart from lack of sleep the girls are really good babies. Florence is particularly easy. I just think how easy life would be if we only had one.........probably just aswell we have one easy baby and one, a little more problematic shall we say!

Amelia's colic seems to be improving and she gets less angry and stressed after feeds. A mixture of Dr Brown bottle, colief and infacol...

Both girls are asleep (at the same time - this is amazing!!!) Florrie on the sofa and amelia in her chair sunbathing from inside! ARthur is babysitting today, whilst me and Jez hide up in the attic for some peace and quiet!

We are all sat waiting for the wretched washing machine man to come! I cant' believe we bought a new washer (even tho nothing wrong with the old one, just wanted thought its bound to break down sooner or later might as well get a new one now), we've had it six weeks and the bloody thing won't RINSE! The stupid @rses at the washing machine company said it will be due to water pressure - this is total b*ll*cks because its the same as its always been. He better bloody turn up and mend the damn thing. Its only been a day but we've got zillions of washing waiting.....

I took my ironing round to our ironing lady and she just gasped at how much! Problem is its not just the girls that wear loads of different things each day, I end up changing at least three times because of sick, wee or poo! (theirs, not mine!)

Oh well. I'm pleased everyone is doing well. Tracey keeps me posted on what you are all up to, just in case I don't get chance to read all your messages! What will we all do when SHE has hers and disappears! Things will never be the same again!

Lots of love to all your pregnant ladies and to all the new (and old!) mums!

nikola & florence & amelia

Hello matey

Oh Nikola  She SHAT in your face!!!!! That is something you can remember and tell on her wedding day! I am laughing at the thought of it. Poor you. Was it green or yellow????

I bet it was difficult when DH first went back and you were left literally holding the babies. It will get easier I am sure - I actually have no idea but it must get easier as Jules has survived and thinking of going again.

You will be able to laugh at TS when she is covered in poo and sick and coping with 2 hours sleep soon. I bet you wouldn't change it for the world though would you??

I am so laxadasical (sp?) as I have had a card and pressies to send to you and keep on forgetting  I am so sorry. The girls will get them probably when they go off to university!! I will pull my finger out and send them off to you soon I promise.

It's a tough week for me as Katelyn would have been due this Saturday.

Am thinking of you a lot and wondering how you are coping. You are a very lucky girl and are being a super Mummy. Your girls will love you so much. Keep them safe and give them a BIG kiss and HUGE hug.

Love Auntie Dagny xkx ^i^ (Angel Katelyn)

hello

twice in one day! this is good for me...

after speaking to 'mouth from the south', tracey sharp...thought I'd better give you a quick update.

the washing machine man came and mended the wretched thing, something wrong with a valve or something equally dull. but we are back in the land of persil and ariel - hurrah!

girls have been really good today, I do hope this doesn't mean I'm in for a shocking evening! I've had an extra large glass of wine in preparation......

just for the record amelia's poo was the english mustard variety - better that than the wholegrain mustard we sometimes see, or the green clay that comes out of florries' bum......well you did ask!

I'm taking the girls back to the hospital for a check-up with the paediatrician tomorrow morning - bad thing is the appointment clashes with feeding time AND it will be my first venture out with them BOTH on my OWN! OMG! Please think of me...........it will be awful.

must go and get 10pm feed ready and then off to bed for us three.

love nikola, florrie & millie.x

If I had known Dagny was going to lead you into the colour of the vile stuff would never have started
Glad the washing machine is sorted - not good! Let's hope that's the end of that one!
Hope all goes well - sure the girls are fine but venturing out on your own - yikes - let us know how it goes
Love

LOL - oh Nic, these things are meant to try you. :o

I can totally identify though. We had Sam home about 2 days when our washing machine went. We immediately went out to get a new one, but most hadn't them in stock. Thankfully one lovely shop sold us one off display - our fabby car transported it home and it was plumbed in and washing that night!!!!

Good luck on your 'adventure' tomorrow - there'll be a story there...

you poor thing , just think if your skin suddenly looks better than usual you could market the stuff for mud packs!!!! you could feed the girls on different foods for different skin types!!! Just a thought . it sounds as if you are coping really well , no I do mean it at least you havent thrown yourself out of a window due to sleep deprevation. wish I lived nearer I would come and help you but would like to be issued with face protection!!!!. It can only get better as they get older and then they will amuse each other . will you get one of those or should I say two of those doorway hanging bouncers ??? I hear they are great for getting the cooking done

well I have just met Dagny and she is lovely , we are due to meet up on the 5th July for SHOPPING!! wish you and Sharpy could meet us too , one day we will all meet with all of our babies. I will probably have another go next year as I need to have some 'Time out' I know I dont want to egg share again as I ended up with only 2 eggs , I would much rather go with someone that will donate all of them to me that have had thier children . perhaps Cam may concider my sister but it is a difficult one to think about . anyway we are off to Mexico in September, a well deserved holiday.

Keep up the good work
