just catching up with everyones news........it takes some time,
i have been away, weekend in Dublin followed by 5 days in spain
with 3 girlfriends..........we go every year, so looks like it will have
been my last. Was not best pleased with BA turned up at the airport
in spain to be told i was on standby, being 6 1/2 mths pregnant and
traveling on my own i was not a happy bunny, fortunately there was
room in club and i was upgraded, have written them an e.mail asking
why i was on standby, im hoping to travel to Dublin in a couple of
weeks time so dont want the same thing happening again.
Like u phil we are in the middle of building work, we have had
half of the house knocked down and they are just starting to rebuild
doesnt look like it will be finished in time, but have decided going
to be very relaxed about it all........oh realy !!!!! i seem to spend
most of my day looking at bathroom and kitchens brouchures, theres
just so much to think of.
I am now 28 wks and have not bought one thing for junior, my dp
still doesnt want to tempt fate, but my mum said i should start to get
organized, im a bit worried about what exactly i will need, if i go
to somewhere like John Lewis do they have a sort of check list of
things u will need ??? would be grateful for some input.
Do you know girls, i still cant believe im actually pregnant im just
so happy.

Hi Alisonn,
i wondered what you were up to, have not heard from you for a while. Hope your trips are nice enough to last you for a while , delays and travel tiredness are much worse to face when one is at this stage - I have regretfully given up any more air travel so as to give my body the chance to keep up with the growth, it's been kind of heavy already ay 24 weeks (23 weeks 5 days actually). i cannot believe we are so far along either, seemed like yesterday when you were just pregnant and I was new on the board.
I have not bought anything either, talk about superstitious (we got some things from my sister in law, have not unpacked them yet).
love,
juliana
Hi Alison
I can't believe that BA did that to you, you would of had thought because you were pg you should be on the plane instead of hanging around an airport.
I am finding it hard enough having my nursery done and waiting for my bathroom to be done without most of the house you are very brave ladies.
John Lewis have nursery advisors and if you look far back enough (a good few months) you will see a thread from Nikola about it she felt like Pretty woman. I think you have to book but they tell you what you need and don,t need. I bought pregnancy and birth magazine and got most of what you need from there along with mothercare catalogue and others gives you an idea of what to buy. Probably still bought to much. I have found out that most hospitals are different about what to take in with you. Ours supplies baby grows and things but you can take your own in with you just watch you don't put them in their laundry bag.
I am 32wks and had most of my stuff bought by about 30wks and i am finding it hard now to trail around shops, what with swollen feet and horrible stitches. I am like you both and still find it hard to believe i am pg and have got this far until you look at the bump or have its feet dig into your ribs. Your mum could always keep everything for you until later.

hope the BA experience didn't put a damper on you trip. maybe it doesn't have to be your last with girlfiends, maybe you could do a mums and little ones away instead.
internet sites that tracey mentioned for buying baby stuff are really useful. i bought some things on line after browsing around the shops. it's a lot less tiring.
well builders, what can i say. i really don't envy your situation. after the wall repairs and decoration that is being done now, we need to do our kitchen. its the next and last big job. then we'll probably need to sell to pay for it all. actually that's not even funny. good luck with yours and if you do stay relaxed let me know your secret and the names of yr builders!
enjoy dublin. do you you stay clear of the guiness or have one for medicinal purposes?
helen, sorry to hear you've joined the swollen feet club. bl..dy awful isn't it?
