Mellow - Praying for you and Marlo. Glad she is still in their baking and hoping she will decide to stay in for at least few more weeks.
Leoria - I believe i found the HB yesterday on the doppler. It was really faint, i had to turn the volume up all the way. it start at 165 and went to 170 something, it sounded so much different then my hb. I heard it for a couple of minutes and then it went away. i haven't been able to find it again. Hope you can find the hb's soon. I'll probably try again in a few days. someone told me that the best time to try and hear them is in the morning. don't know why.
Lou - You look awesome. Are you still wearing your regular clothes?
Ryann - good luck on bedrest. Know it won't be fun but a must to keep those kids safe inside of you and to keep you safe. that must be scary having your heart rate up so high. Hope you can find things to keep you entertained.
Blair - can't wait for you u/s. Only a few more days right? Hope your m/s gets better. I am one of lucky few that hasn't gotten m/s.
AFM - not much going on. Trying to keep up with this GD diet. kind of a pain in the butt just trying to figure out what i can eat. at least it keeps me away from all the candy and junk food i have in my house. I am gonna have to go through my cabinets and through all the junk food away. DH doesn't really eat a whole lot of it and it will all be bad by the time i get to eat it. I have my 12 week scan on May 9th. Can't wait. I have also planned vacation for the last 2 weeks in May. going to the Smokey Mountains for 1 week and then going to KY Lake for the 2nd week. We do Ky Lake every year with a bunch of family and friends and always have a blast. Now my concern is, what clothes will i wear. i still fit into most of my shorts from last year but don't have enough to last a full week and who knows if they will fit in 3 weeks. I am hoping they will. i don't want to wear maternity shorts, they are so ugly. plus i wear a plus size and i am not finding it an easy task to find plus size maternity shorts that aren't majorly expensive. I am thinking of buying a few pairs of shorts that are a size bigger then what i normally wear. i might need a belt with them or I might not. We will see.
Can't believe i will already be in the 2nd trimester in a few weeks. Still smiling when i think about being preggo.

New development this morning.
My body is still trying to go into labor, to deliver Claire. Her body is laying across the top of my cervix, making things progress slowly, but it's only a matter of time before it will happen. The Doctors say they think they can deliver her and then stop Marlo from coming. Please pray, we need more time, Marlo needs more time to grow. They said it could be today, or it may be next week..hard to say. So we wait. All of the spotting has been because of this, and they finally looked at my cervix again today and saw what looks like the bag of water protruding into the birth canal slightly. I think it scared them, I know it scared me. Anyway, we just need more days for my little girl. The medicines they will use to stop labor after Claire is born are a little scary, but even one extra day inside is a big deal. I will let you know how if anything happens, when I can.
mellow.. i'm saying some serious prayers for you and marlo.. much love to you right now

Mellow - sending extra prayers for you and Marlo. I'm sorry you're going through such a scary time but I just know it's going to be ok. Claire and Johnny are watching over Marlo and they won't let anything happen to her.
Lou - You look FABULOUS!!! And your vacation sounds soooo nice! I can't believe how much you've thrown away already, just from closets LOL. We have a small apartment so we didn't have that much but I was determined to ditch lots of stuff and I did.
Leora - I'm so glad you're having uneventful times. Doesn't it feel great?? And thanks, I had a great time in RI. It was a lot of driving (5 hours up yesterday and 5 back today) but it was worth it. And I did have to stop 4 times each way for pee breaks but that was better than I thought it would be.

mellow- You and Marlo are in my thoughts. Hoping the doctors will be able to figure out a way to keep her in there a few more weeks while she continues to grow. Keep us posted on how things are going.
Lou- Sounds like a very nice (and much deserved) vacation for your and DH! It will be a "babymoon" for you all to relax and enjoy before the little one comes and interrupts your sleep habits. The docusate is helping so thanks again for the advice.
fun- yea my US is finally coming up on Wednesday. As for my m/s..it has actually gotten worse. I guess even though I dont want to I may have to take zofran more than once a day. I take it as soon as I get up in the morning but usually have to lay down until it kicks in so I dont get sick. Saw that you are going to KY Lake...Im not too far away and live right outside of Louisville!!
AFM- Only 2 more sleeps!!! I already know I wont be able to sleep a wink on Tuesday night because Ill be so excited for wednesday morning. Luckily its an early appt so we will have to leave the house around 7:30 to make it to Cincy on time. Just hoping we see a healthy baby (or more).
Chris -- Thank you. I can still wear a lot of my regular clothes, including low rise jeans. In this particular pic, I'm wearing a maternity top because I was going to a neighbors party and wanted to look as pregnant as possible...lol. I got the top on sale for a few bucks and it's a size XS which means it won't last past the second trimester so I better wear it while it fits, right?
Mellow -- Saying prayers for you and little Marlo. I really hope the doctors are able to deliver Claire and keep Marlo inside to grow a while longer. Please let us know how things are going when you can. There are a lot of ladies praying like crazy for you.
Amanda -- Thanks! I know!!! I can't believe what we threw away as well. My MIL had sent DH home from her house years ago with bags of crap from his childhood. Some real keepsakes in there but mostly total CRAP. A lot of trophys which were corroded looking...lol. Various musical instruments (how many trombones does one need?) which we will sell for cheap to our SIL who runs a music repair shop. Tons of books, which we are donating. College binders and textbooks... who needs that 15 years after graduation? It was a BIG closet.
Blair -- So glad the docusate is working for you. We are getting excited for our "babymoon" for sure. I'm excited for your u/s coming up!!! I'm going to bet TWO . How do you feel about twins? Personally, I didn't really want twins because I figured I'd have a tough time carrying them, but if it weren't for that the "two birds with one stone" theory would be great!
AFM -- We picked out some paint chips in a light taupe shade for the office downstairs and upstairs nursery and stopped at Buy Buy Baby to match it to the fabric we're thinking of for nursery bedding. While there, we fell in love with a crib and dresser/changing table that was on sale and are considering buying it. The furniture is by Legacy and is made of poplar. Very sturdy. It's a dark mahogany finish, a bit lighter than the "espresso" color that's been so popular but too dark for us. The crib is $599 but last years model (still in box) is $399 and the dresser/changing table is normally $549 +$159 = $718 but I will get last years display, both pieces for $419. On top of that, I can use a 20% off coupon for each piece making both pieces = $654 vs $1,379! Other than feeling like it's too early to buy furniture, I cannot think of any other reason not to get it! I think I'll go have one more look after work and post some pics for you guys too. If it's still available, then I guess it's meant to be! There are other pieces available, such as dressers and nightstands, but no hurry for that. We're also going to buy the rails/kit for the full bed conversion. Not sure if we need the guardrail for the toddler daybed.
Lou-the furniture is beautiful! We bought ours really early...probably about 12 weeks or so...because we couldn't pass up the price, especially needing 2 cribs and 2 dressers! So it's still in the box in the guest room and I can't wait to set it up!
Afm...first day of no work and all bedrest...not bored quite yet so I have a question for everyone-especially twin mommas. We were thinking of a cradle in our room for the twins, but then found out that they are really only recommended for up to 15 lbs, which seems like a waste of money. So dh said why don't we just set one of the cribs up in our room for them to sleep in until they're ready to move into their own room. Oooor...has anyone put their baby in the nursery right away? I'm thinking in terms of dh having to wake up for work-if they are in their room I can go there and let dh husband sleep. I just don't know! Any thoughts??

we put our DS in his nursery right away. the nursery was right next to our bedroom so i would hear him cry and wake up to feed him. i am a very light sleeper so i would have a hard time sleeping with the baby in the same room - i would be listening for his every turn and anticipating him waking up and would never get any sleep myself. also, we avoided the transition from our bedroom to his nursery af ew months down the road, which depending on the child could be a slight challenge.
but its personal preference really. whatever you are most comfortable with. because the baby doesnt care - they will get their sleep no matter what!

Im crashing to ask a question. I am following all of you on your journey, I cycled with some of you in Jan.
My question is.... How soon did you guys POAS? I know it is too early now, but I am 1dp5dt. My beta is next Tues, on the 10th. I had 2 blasts transferred yest and I am super nervous. I did not POAS with the last BFP, I was too nervous. But I know I will this time. I did use donor eggs, so I think since I dont have the trigger in my system that I will most likely get accurate results whenever I do get the go ahead to POAS. When do you guys think I should try????
We bought two cribs and have one in our bedroom, one in the nursery. Eventually, we will move the crib in our room to the nursery when we think they are ready for their own cribs. They are only 7 weeks old, but they are starting to annoy each other in the crib, so the move might have to happen sooner than we expected.
For now, it makes it so much easier to have both babies in our room for the overnight feedings. If your husband can handle it, you will find it much easier on your sanity if he can help with some of the overnight feedings or diaper changes. Trust me, you'll need and want the extra set of hands.
1st beta 1,431=Twins!
1 boy and 1 girl, came early!
hi ryann, well i'm probably on the 'extreme' end of the spectrum... my son is almost 2 and is still in our room in his crib!! i never planned it that way, but here's how it unfolded: bassinet was good til 16lbs, but he got too long for it before he hit that weight (he was long but light baby)... then i couldn't stand the idea of him being so far away in his room (which, lol, is right next to ours), so we moved the crib in, and it hasn't left yet.
myself, i find it comforting to have him nearby. i sleep better this way. one mom i got to know on my mat leave often slept on her son's bedroom floor when she was worried about him, i never had to do that. but my way has it's down sides too. when DS would wake crying, i'd get up and take him to the rocking chair in the next room and nurse him.. or you can nurse in bed. so it didn't really disturb DH anymore than it already would with the baby in the room next to us. if i was ever worried- i'd just wake up, lie there and wait to hear him breathe- then i'd peacefully go back to sleep.. for me, this was preferred over getting up and going to his room, as i'm a worry wart and god knows how often i would have done that!
but like was already said- it's up to your personal comfort level and how you will sleep best. good luck!

Hi Dallas - It really depends on how you think you'll handle BFNs. POAS can be tough on the PMA if you start seeing BFNs but if you don't think it will ding your PMA too much, you can start in a few days. If you think seeing that stark white could really bring you down, it's best to wait until closer to beta day. Some women love to POAS (like me) and for some it's just plain evil.
I had a closet full of HPTs since I'm a POAS addict so I started fairly early. My first POAS was 5dp3dt (8dpo) and was BFN so I knew the trigger was out of my system. 6dp3dt (9dpo) I had a super faint BFP on an internet cheapie, but I didn't consider it "confirmed" because my FRER was BFN. 7dp3dt (10dpo) I had a faint BFP on both the cheapies and FRER. I know I got my BFP earlier than many but my first beta was pretty high for 14 dpo at 266 so I think that's why the HPTs registered a + early on. (We transferred 3 3-day embies. My pregnancy started with twins but one never developed beyond a gestational sac with yolk sac.) GOOD LUCK and keep us posted!!

Karen - I am with you 100%, I actaully read a book by Dr Sears called Nightime Parenting and it really completely changed my mind. You are so in tune with your babies sleep that we would wake up at the same time for feedings and he would never fully wake up, the bfeeding was so much easier. He also had a little reflux so I was able to clean him up and I slept so much better having him there. He has been sleeping all night in our very dark room, even when he has a night terror he goes right back to sleep and he is never upset about going to bed. It really worked out for us, it is so common in other countries that they don't even know why people buy baby monitors! He has plenty of time to become independent and I am very grumpy without sleep!
