Hi Girls

Dagny - I am so sorry. I don't know what to say other than bad timing, and very hard for you.

Kt - are you at the ARGC? They use a drug, beginning with an 'R' that thins the blood - it might be that.

Hi girls just seeing how its all going, looking forward to our holidays in 2 weeks and expect to get a date for our failed cycle review before we go .Most likely will be in August sometime so I recon Sept as the next cycle. I'm happy enough to get a break over the summer although I'm less busy with work then but its nice to feel relatively normal and get myself organised for the next go.

Just wanted to send you all positive vibes ++++++PMA

Hello lovely buddies!!

I just want to say thank you all so much for the good luck messages for yesterday, I felt really teary reading them and feeling so much support from you all! It feels like forever not posting for just 3 days!! You are all stars...

Well...! Yesterday went really well, we got 9 EGGS!!! We are absolutely over the moon, as you know my stimming went so slowly, I was hoping for half that amount!!! Also really weird because 9 is my lucky number that just keeps popping up!!! So we are well chuffed!! Got home at 4ish yesterday so have just been in bed yesterday while DH puts his cooking skills to the test (microwave dinners  )!! Feel quite tender, but, have not had any really huge pains so that's a relief... Just going to take it easy now! We've got to phone the clinic at 2pm today to find out how many embies we have, so we both keep cheering them on!!!! Just hoping it all goes ok... I'll let you know later on - fingers crossed!!

Debra - Good luck with your scan tomorrow, so glad it's all going well!
Dagny - I was really sad to read your post, that is so insensetive of them. But I think you and your DH are being really strong and you are doing so well, you are an inspiration.. I just want you to know I am thinking of you
DeeDee - I read your news about your scan, I just want to say keep positive, I don't know if you read about my first one, but mine was not going well and gone ok now as you know! Hope your next scan goes ok, I'm so sure it will! Keeping the PMA going for you!!
Loopy - Hope you are feeling a bit better - and good luck with your scan today!!
Kt - Hope the 2ww goes fast - when is your test date??
Bron - Good to hear from you, and glad you are keeping the PMA going! hope you enjoy a good summer break before you start again..
Hello also to Staci, Tina and Tracey - Hope you are all ok too! :D

I really hope I haven't missed anyone!(sorry if I have) Going to lie down for a bit now, but I will post again later!
Thanks again girlies!
Love Kel x :D

KEl

What fantastic news -well done you"! and so glad 9 is your lucky number as things like this always help with the old PMA!!!!!!!!!!!!! Fingers crossed it continues in this vein
Dagny my sweet - you should have emailed me or rang me - honestly how bloody insenstive - lucky for them I don't know the number
I told my clinic not to ring and tell me if Olivers post mortem results were back as had started my 2ww and they had already taken 12 bloody weeks so was going to wait until after if they arrived as would not do me any good etc etc.............. so what do they flaming well do - ring me on day 3 of the 2ww to say they are back and do I want to know what's in them - I won't repeat my language. And do you remember that on the day Oliver was due the flaming crematorium rang eating so much humble pie she could hardly talk (the women to blame had copped out) to tell me that they had his ashes (were not expecting any) in a casket and they had come across them downstairs - they had been there 6 weeks! But with christmas etc................. I went spare having to pick those up.
It's dreadful for you and I know Katelyn was due Saturday and with your birthday and all it will be very hard. Take some time to cry and grieve - it is silly to bottle it up - it won't damage your tmt honestly and then try and get back on to the PMA with the tmt and don't let the B******S grind you down.
The rest of you good luck
Love
Tracey

Hello All

Kel - well done girl - now just take it easy and we'll all be sending you PMA for the next bit.

Dagny - your poor thing, I cannot stand incompetence, I am angry just thinking about this whole episode, just because someone didn't think you were caused all the un-necessary stress and upset, blinkin hell (trying to stop swearing as much but you get my drift). Try not to let it get you down, easy for me to say I know. One day....................

Anyway feeling a bit more positive today and looking forward to tommorrow at 8am when I have my second scan, as you all say it only takes 1, but its a numbers game and I would really love more than 1. If only 1 then need to decide if we go for IVF or IUI (need to read up on this as not really sure what its all about) DH suggested that if there is only 1 we should cancel the whole thing and just have a good S*** - such a way with words!!!

I'll be back on tomorrow after the scan to let you all know the outcome - must try not to cry quite so much today, bloomin emotions!

PMA to you all and thanks for being there, oh boy can I feel some expensive retail therapy coming my way whatever the outcome.

Good luck - did you mean IUI or ICSI as obviously a big difference and a big difference between IVF and IUI - the success rates are better with IVF and ICSI

Hi JCB,
I missed you all yesterday.. Went to the clinic for last Chlymdia (sp?) test, had an apt. at gyn. also. I sat with the nurse yesterday to go over my calendar and my EC should be arounnd june 26...yikes how time flies...
This is our first tmt. And the 46 follies are natural !! I was also shocked, but that is why we are doing IVM/ICSI (natural cycle) instead of IVF/ICSI.
I also have PCOS, and doing IVF could make me really sick .... So natural cycle will be !!! :D
GOOD LUCK to everyone !!!
We shall chat soon¸

Hello,
I am a bit worried as so far only 2 out of 9 have fertilized. Also the fact that the clinic said 'so far' and there may be more by tomorrow when we go for ET.. I didn't know it was possible for some to catch up at this stage?? I just feel so scared as it stands having 2 in case they don't make it overnight.. Am so praying they will... Has anyone else heard of late fertilization? I'm really worried now

hi to all jcb`s,dagny i hope your feeling ok today, keep your chin up i am thinking about you, hope your injections are going ok.
debra thanks for your well wishes,my scan went fine, the lining is really thin and nothing to be seen on either ovary so i start menopur on sat, another scan next thur and then ec on the 2nd all being well.last time i had around 27 follies so hopefully i will get a bumper crop again.how did your 2nd scan go?not long for you now.best of luck,we are going to do it this time, all of us! :) pma pma.
kel,i dont know much about the fertilising process and how it works so i am sorry i cant help, but i am sure some one will.just try not to stress until you find out,i am sure you will be fine, and you already have 2 fertilised which is fine, wishing you all the luck in the world. :)
teresa,i cant believe that you had 46 follies naturally, thats unbelievable as the average women only releases one a month, that means that you could of had 46 babies?how did you find out you had 46 did the doctor count them?best of luck with this new treatment. :)
dee dee,i hope your scan goes well tom,let us know, good luck. :)

Hi JCBs.....

DeeDee - good luck with the scan tomorrow. I hope you found lots of info to help make the decision. Did you hit the shops or is that later?

Loopy. Now I am totally and utterly lost. I thought you started stimms with me? No matter! your clinic know what they're doing.....and it sounds like they saw what they were expecting, which is all that counts. 27?? that's a HUGE number! Remind me, is it male factor for you two? how many fertilised? How many made it to becoming frosties?

Kel - breathe deeply, it's tough I know but we always just have to wait. Sod's law. If there were 2 out of 9 already well on their way then you know you've got all you need for ET. If they said 'so far' they must have been expecting/hoping that there may be some for freezing afterwards. Try not to worry (yeah, I know...ha bloody ha)....it's only a few hours away.

Dagny....not seen you posting today. I hope you're feeling OK and putting yesterday behind you. Are you still looking forward to your treatment? Given your short protocol, it's really very close. I know it's scary too but we're here for you.

Staci - how are you doing? Did the credit card taking a pounding? if so what did you buy? I'm on permenant 'I'd better wait to see' mode. I drool over Jimmy Choo shoes on eBay which is just ridiculous, I have the least Jimmy Choo lifestyle immaginable!

I told my MIL about the tmt this evening as she's away now for 3 weeks. She just about responded, which is entirely typical. Her emotions are buried very, very, very deep down. I'm fond of her and she's very good to us but I'd hoped she'd do more than nod. When she left she didn't even wish me luck. I'd like to tell my Mum but she'll only get her hopes up again which I'd like to spare until we can celebrate. I'm coming over in July/August so if I can, I'll wait until then.

The scan is early tomorrow and then I'm working so will post what happens a bit later.

I had a fright today. After eating breakfast I had instant tooth pain. I was panicking about finding a dentist who could see me today so that if I needed drugs it wouldn't interfere with next week. I found one eventually and he's put in a temporary filling, it cost a bomb but at least I don't have to worry about it for another 2m.

Take care,
love Debra.

Morning All

OK Just had my scan and things are looking better. The 3 follies are all growing but not at such a rate that it looks like we are going to have to make a decision on just one, so that takes IUI out of the equation - I hope. Some of the follies that were just dots and not measurable have put on a growth spurt and if they tried really hard they could make it to the party too.

So on with the stabbing over the weekend and another scan on Monday, with possible EC next Friday, 25th.

Much more positive today, thanks for all your PMA.

Kel - good luck for today, - as so many have said before, you only need 1.

Debra - good luck for your scan

Everyone else - hang on in there - and thanks for being there

Hi everyone,

Haven't had a chance to check the board for a few days so just trying to catch up with how everyone is doing.

Kel,

Thinking of you today and hoping that you ended up with more fertilizing. If not, two is certainly plenty for the transfer.

DeeDee

Glad to hear things are looking better!

Debra,

I know what you mean about "wait and see" when it comes to shopping. I was holding off on buying new shorts, tanks, etc. for the warmer months because I was afraid I'd buy things in my size only to not be able to wear them. I finally decided to just go ahead and buy some stuff. I'm just too sick of putting every aspect of my life on permanent hold. Besides, I figure that the way my luck goes, buying a lot of clothes in my small size right before treatment will guarantee a +tive. :)

That is disappointing that your MIL didn't at least show some encouragement. I forget....is your problem male factor (hope you don't mind my asking)? If it is, does your MIL know what the problem is?
Does she not believe in the IVF procedure? I know you said she isn't one to show her emotions but it just doesn't seem right that she wouldn't wish you luck or show some inkling of support.

Dagny,

Are you ok? Haven't seen a post from you in a bit.

Hope everyone else is doing well today!

Hi, just to say the scan went well. To borrow DeeDee's term, another follie might join our party as there are 10 now - 8 good sized, 2 smallish. I've an increased dose of Puregon for 2 days (300 now) plus Ovitrelle on Sunday night. EC is Tuesday at 0800 and ET Thursday - bring it on!

Kel, I was thinking of your ET today. Can't wait to hear how it went.

hugs,
Debra.
