lump in your throat time........

Post by Nikola »

I've sneaked upstairs to let you all share my lovely moment......my dh is sat downstairs with arthur on one side, jeremy on the other and amelia on his knee and he is reading 'Cat in the Hat' to the three of them! (florence is asleep on the other sofa - but I read to her earlier)

Its one of those things that when you are trying to get pregnant you imagine happening (well I did, that could just be because I'm wierd!) and now its happening downstairs in my living room.

Aah bless.

love nikola.x

ps I do miss you all!!!!!

This will be one of many such moments Nikola, the one that will always stick in my mind is when my son (now aged 12) was 10 years old and accompanied the school choir on the piano. It was the first time a pupil had ever done such a thing at a school concert and the audience gave him a standing ovation. I cried for an hour afterwards, it still brings a lump to my throat now, 2 years later!
Trust me, you have many such moments to look forward to!

much love
Lorraine

p.s. we miss you too!

Your post was lovely, Nic - and no, you're not weird. The simple things that many take for granted, we cherish like nothing else.

Every day will bring you little moments like this, and 19 weeks on I still can't believe we have a son! :o

Keep enjoying, it's what it's all about!

Hi Nikola

WE MISS YOU TOO

That story is so lovely. I can just see your DH sitting there reading surrounded by all his girls and boys!! Aaaahhhhhh so sweet.

I can remember when the little girl I used to nanny for was Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz. When she got up and sand 'Somewhere over the Rainbow' I sobbed and sobbed and had snot all down my shirt - NICE!! Her Mum just looked at me like I was a lunatic. How her Mum just watched without any emotion is beyond me  It was FANTASTIC! I was so proud plus I had made her dress and shoes etc, etc.

You must have felt such an overwhelming feeling of love seeing them all there. There will be many more of those to come I am sure. Just think when they are both angels in their first school nativity NOW THAT'S A TEAR JERKER!!!!!!

Take care my friend

Love Dagny xkx
