Hi Scorry,

I don't know the statistics, I'm afraid, so I can't help you there.

We had our treatments in Edinburgh, and I can't recommend them enough...nothing was ever too much trouble and I remember some of your posts and thinking thank goodness I wasn't at your clinic. The guy who heads Edinburgh knows his stuff (albeit, I find him a liitle clinical in his bedside manner, but we soon decided that genius always was!), but the others doctors we've had dealings with are great, and the nurses are angels in disguise. Like a lot of people, we had lots of problems during treatment and even after we were discharged, we still kept in contact and when we finally took Sam in to see them, one of the nurses had tears in her eyes...

From everyone else's posts down south, I felt a bit naive in the sense we didn't look into things like that. We were very comfortable at our clinic and had confidence in who dealt with us, so we never entertained anywhere else...

This probably doesn't help at all, but good luck anyway!

Hi Scorry

I can't answer your question as I am a Southener but I just wanted to say 'Hi' and 'How are you?'. I have just started my down regging yesterday and can't believe I have to do it all again :x but I am trying to be positive, after all I know I can get PG now. I just hope I don't get OHSS again  . Climbing back onto that rollercoaster again is so hard isn't it? We will get our dreams come true one day, I know it!

Good luck and keep in touch, it's good to see you back.

Love Dagny xkx

Thanks Zoe and Dagny,

Weve been having some time off from this, and I am really quite enjoying the rest, but every now and then I think about when we are going to start again.
We have 6 embryos left and only one funded shot, which considering what has happened, is a bit of a cheek. I'm hoping we can negociate for them to let us try until we get pg again (I think it's the least they could do)(ie; use the rest funded).

Zoe, thanks for the info on Edinburgh, is it Simpsons?
Good luck this time Dagny, I've everything crossed for you, let me know how you get on.
Speak soon

Yes Scorry, I think it's still called Simpsons even though it's all now out at Little France at the new hospital. All mod cons there, you know! (My sister had her baby in Aberdeen in November and OMG, some of the place was like stepping back in time there!)

It's good to have time off - we did after we lost our first baby on our second IVF, albeit in the early stages. It took us about 8 months before we were ready again...

I think it's a good idea to speak to them - it is the very least they can do. Take care
