Trial Transfer next Friday

Post by Lisasurf19 »

Can anyone tell me what to expect from a Trial Transfer? The last clinic I was with did not do this.
Also, I am new to all these forums and I would love it if someone could give me a list of all the acronyms you use, I was able to get 2 of them :D
Thanks in advance!!

A trial transfer is quite simple. They put a catheter into the uterus and measure the distance to the top. Takes five minutes or less. My clinic however, does a sonohystegram (or is it hystesonogram?) at the same time and that makes me cramp pretty badly. I don't think they all do them together and if your clinic didn't mention it, I assume they only plan the trial transfer.

Great! Thanks so much!! I was hoping it wasn't anything too painful, good to know it's just a little measuring and it takes no time at all :D
