Hi, Nancy. Just wanted to check in and see if everything is ok with you. I hope you're doing well. How is your son doing? Has his vocabulary taken off? I hope his PT is going well. Write when you can.

Take care,

Hi Charr,

sorry I've been MIA. These last 2 weeks have been crazy.
Pregnancy going smoothly thus far, thank God.

My son: PT is going well and there is vast improvement in his walking HOWEVER..............
We took him to an ophthalmologist on Monday and he is severely farsighted. And he said it explains some of his motor and language delays and that he should catch up once he wears his glasses. Thank God I noticed something unusual while he was focussing otherwise this would have stayed with his for the rest of his life.
I'll write more later and thanks for your concern, CHarr.
Let me know how your peanut is doing.

Hi Girls,

Just wanted to check in. I'm due in Nov also. I had been posting on the "Beautiful Babies" board, and it was a bit overwhelming to me too. Trying to do so many personals and keep up with everyone. Some of the stages many of the women were in I just couldn't identify with being so early on in the pregnancy. Not to mention many of their symptoms scared me and I just didn't want to go there starting to think "could that happen to me?" Now that I'm officially outta the 1st trimester (YAY!!!) I may brave that board again.
How are you guys doing with your respective pregnancies. Feels good to be in T2, huh?

AFM-yesterday I woke up with major lower back pain like I hadn't had since the beginning right after IVF. Other than that I'm generally okay. Some nausea still sometimes when I get too full. I've gained 4lbs all together. I had my NT scan 2wks ago and I'll get the rest of the blood test results in 2 more weeks. So we'll see...

Hi Ladies,

welcome to the board. It was really lonely here for a while except for my old pal Charr form November 2009 babies.
Crissy: I hear what you say about being overwhelmed by the other board. Having an 18 month old toddler to care for, part-time work, taking my son to PT, etc, I didn't have the time to follow what all the ladies were writing.
I am now almost 14 weeks and hoping for the best. I am to undergo my second blood test in 2 weeks and then will be referred to a perinatologist. Crissy, the best advice I have to give you is to try to be as relaxed as possible and enjoy each day. And whenever you feel any unusual syptoms, just call your OB to put your mind at ease.

Mamaboo: Congrats! Don't worry. Your nausea will be over soon in 2-3 weeks. So it might be a Thanksgiving baby! How exciting.
Looking forward to sharing this journey with you guys!

Charr: Happy mothers day!!! Can you believe it's our second one?!

HEY MAMABOO!! glad to see ur still hanging in there. Nancy is right that you SHOULD feel better within the next few wks.

Nancy-glad to keep you company. I'll be KMFX'd for your bloodwork to go okay as well as mine.

AFM-I started to gush some blood yesterday eve. I had light bleeding earlier on that was associated with a SCH. It finally stopped with the occasional spot, but yesterday was the most since the beginning. I decided to wait til Monday to contact my doc as I know there's really nothing they can do at this point but tell me to stay on bed rest and hydrate, so that's what I'm doing anyway. I've heard and read that many women bleed throughout there pregnancies and that it's not really something to be too overly concerned with. I have no cramping so I think that's a good indication. Pray for us anyways guys.

I might as well say "hello" as well. I am due 11/23 but will likely deliver a couple weeks before that as I am expecting twins.

I had my NT scan yesterday and all measures well. Whew.

I too, as Leora, cycled with a lot of the women on the "Main 2011" baby thread, but I understand how it can be a bit overwhelming.

Hi Ladies,

Leorira: welcome back! I'm so happy that things are going great for you. I know you had some scary days early in your pregnancy!
I think I might be delivering (hopefully) late October too since I was 6 days early with my first one and my due date is first week of November.

ChrissyLove: just hang in there. And yes, bleeding early on is quite common. I have had several episodes myself both during my 1st and second pregnancies. Just continue resting as you have been and drink plenty of water. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!!

Margie: welcome and congrats on the twins!!! It must be sooo exciting! How are your symptoms? Any nausea?

CHarr: we had a feeding OT specialist today coming in today and he had encouraging words for us so I feel a bit better. As far as walking goes, he has been taking 10+ steps for the past few days so I am optimistic in that arena too and hope that once he gets his glasses, things will be even better. Have a great Mother's Day!!!!

Looking forward to hearing from everyone.

Crissylove: Checking in to see how you are doing? I am having issues with bleeding as well. SCH (subchorionic hematoma) just like you. :( I have been on one form of bed rest or another for almost 6 weeks (1/2 of my pregnancy!!!) and am looking at at least 2 more weeks ahead...whenever I am too active...like I tried to go to work one day about 3 weeks ago and BOOM terribly bleeding. It was so bad that time DH and I went to ER. I was convinced it was over because of the sheer amount of blood. Then last Friday, after the NT--more gushing (sorry for TMI). If it was brown and "old" I could deal with it--in fact that is what I have most days now, but the gushing red is too scary. I really hope that my SCH shrinks. I know they can reabsorb and go away---I just hope that it is sooner rather than later. I also hope that you are doing ok and that your bean is as well.

Nancy: Thanks for the welcome. Yes. I am nauseous most days until about noon--but very little actual throwing up so I can't complain. I know so women have it very bad. Yes, we are very excited--except this bed rest is really a drag....and my boss is not very understanding. BUT, I will do what I need to do! We have come too far, and been through too much to put this pregnancy at risk! Glad to hear the OT is going well with your little one.

Mamaboo: Is your nausea getting better? Mine seems to be slowly...you are about 5 days behind me as I am due 11/23. Although as my OB said yesterday...."38 weeks would be fabulous, but I'd be ok if you can make it to 36...heck, I bet you'd be happy to have them at 36 too once you get there!"

AFM: As I said above to Crissy, this SCH has me down for the count. It seems very sensitive to my activity. Bed rest is boring, but I will do whatever I have to do to keep my 2 little plums securely planted. :D I haven't gained any weight really--lost 5 lbs in first few weeks and have gained back 2..maybe 3? But my belly is poking out regardless! Maybe it is because I have 2 plums planted in there....how are you ladies looking?

Hi ladies. Nausea was a little better this afternoon, but back w/a vengence tonight. Okay at this exact moment though. I had a dream that I lost the baby last night and had to tell my sister who is pregnant too. I was soooo happy when I realized it was a dream - although, I was still asleep when I realized.

Talked to nurse yesterday about what to do regarding nausea (I've lost at least 9 lbs so far). She said...avoid water. Drink sugary drinks. I love this advise. Wouldn't you have loved that advice as a kid? She also said take vit B6 3x's a day, unisom at night, suck on peppermint and avoid spicy/greasy foods. I think the drinking thing does help, and perhaps the peppermint did too this afternoon, but I HATE peppermint. I hate being sick worse though.

Charr: My son walking really well now. He had his glasses today but boy it's going to be a struggle to have him keep them on!
Also, his lower molars are coming in and he doesn't have much of an appetite.

Mammaboo: hope your nausea goes away soon! And please, no more nightmares even if it's Friday the 13th today :-)

Have a good weekend everyone.

Hi ladies. Good news, the nausea is getting a little less frequent and less severe. Also, I can usually get it to go away by eating something. The end of the yuckies is in sight! I do keep having very vivid dreams and nightmares. However, they are about all kinds of things, not just about the baby. I think the same thing happened when I was pregnant with Boo.
