Rio: Yeah on Baby Girl's super ultrasound!!! Can't wait to see your pictures. You gotta share...

Vicky: Congratulations on seeing/hearing the heartbeat. It is just magical, isn't it? :D :D

AFM: Had horrible bleeding over the weekend after the NT, but it has finally gotten dark and slowed down again. I have an appt to see regular OB tomorrow. I tried to move it to Thursday or Friday (I know--the opposite of what we usually hope for!) but I wanted to give my body and this stupid hematoma a couple extra days to settle down. But DOC wasn't in today and neither was his nurse, so the other nurse insisted we go tomorrow. We shall see what he tells me. I was hoping to get off bed rest next week, but with this recent bleed....I don't know....

On the pic I sent to family I had to label so they knew what to look for but you girls are ultrasound pros! She was hiding a bit in a corner so the tech said she needed more fluid for a better 3D view but this is what we could get, she is breech still.

Ryann - The nurse said it's not policy to have a 12wk scan with us being dated with the first scan but I'll be asking the midwife today. If we don't get a scan on the NHS then we'll be paying for one privately. We can not wait till 20wks - I'll definitely be crazy by then! ha ha I'll find out more when I get myself booked in. Hope the bedrest isn't too boring for you, yet!

margi - It was amazing! The best feeling ever! Someone said on here that you can get addicted to having scans - she's right, I want another today! haha Sorry to hear about your bleeding :( but glad its's started to subside. Let us know what the doctor says x

AFM - It's 6am and I am wide awaken and up having a cup of tea!! I thought I'd sleep like a baby (! haha) last night after all the excited but no! I was awake at 1am and everytime I started to nod off to sleep I jumped in my sleep and woke myself up! haha So then the sun was shining through the bedroom window and the birds were singing which is lovely but not at 6am! grrrrrr :D Me thinks I'll be having a little nap later! Even my little dog has fallen back to sleep on the sofa - too early for him as well :D

Vicky- Congrats on seeing your little one!!! Seeing that little heartbeat on the screen makes you feel so much better about everything. As for waiting until 20 weeks- that’s just crazy! You would drive yourself crazy waiting that long so Im really hoping you can get another US before then. DH has even joked that maybe we should invest in an US machine for home.

Rio- What great pictures of your beautiful little girl. Im sure seeing her face makes you want to meet her even sooner. Thanks for the Bday wishes. Whats funny about you marathon comment- last night when I got into bed later than I would have liked at 9:50p…I told DH I feel like I just ran a marathon. I was exhausted.

Ryann- Your belly is too cute. I can see it’s a little bigger since last week but you are still so tiny. Hows the nursery coming along?

Margi- Sorry to hear about the bleeding but hopefully both babies are doing great in there. Keep us posted after your apt.

Kjm- Its definitely a one day at a time kind of situation. As for the organics, we really haven’t changed too much. Just getting foods down is my goal so far. I have heard that there are specific things that if you are buying you should consider doing organic but I cant remember what they were.

Klinger- How exciting that you get to go in 2 days sooner!! Im sure Maribel is going to look completely different than the last time you saw her. I cant wait to see her newest pics!

Leora- I love the video!! I think its great that you can document the stages of your pregnancy especially for family/friends who may not be as close. Thanks for the bday wishes and you will have to give us a heads up when your rolls around. I agree with you and I want to be seen more than once a month. Bi-weekly I guess would be ok with me but 4 wks is too long.

AFM- After some cramping and spotting yesterday I ended up at my old RE office for an apt to make sure everything was ok. I could have driven the hour and half to go to my RE but didn’t really feel up to it so I decided to stay in town. She did the US and all 3 babies are still doing great and have strong heartbeats. She even measured them all and all were within a few days of the expected due date which made me feel a lot better. They already look so much bigger than they did last week so Im sure by next wed they will look huge.

Leora: LOVE the video....you are not a dork. I think it is cute. Thanks for sharing. And, as others have said--be your own best advocate. Nothing wrong with needing, deserving some extra hand holding after all you have been through. I am really lucky with my OB. He really gets how nerve wracking this is for us-this stupid hematoma. I haven't gone more than 2 weeks without seeing him. At the end of the appt he asked me, 2 weeks? YUP!!!! Good luck with your appt on Thursday.

Ryann: Wouldn't it be nice though? Shared bed rest. LOL. Looks like I am looking at another 2 weeks...sigh....you doing ok? I am doing small projects--obviously, that I can do from bed. I can read, watch tv, etc. but I need to do something productive or I will go nuts!

Blair: So very glad to hear the 3 musketeers are doing well. :D I agree with being addicted to the scan. Including today, I think we have had 8 u/s so far in 12 weeks, really in the past 7 weeks. Now, granted, a lot of those were based on worry, but it really is so reassuring to be able to see them with their hearts beating away! I would go nuts if they didn't scan me. Take care of yourself and get that rest. I can only imagine how tired you must be--I am pooped out and "only" have 2 baking.

Lou: Hope your grandma continues to heal. Glad that all is going well with you.

Rio: Awwwwww.....technology is amazing. Wow. I can't wait. Baby Girl's little face is just beyond precious. And, she looks so big! Wow...you are really in the final stretch now, aren't you? Amazing.

AFM: Well, as I expected, my bed rest has been extended. I go back to see him in 2 weeks to check again on the hematoma. He says that soon we stop worrying about miscarriage and start worrying about it breaking the sacs. Sigh. One worry to the next I guess. I so hope and pray this thing resolves and goes away!! He says I can modify my bed rest somewhat--trips to the couch, short walks, etc to keep my muscles moving--as long as I don't start bleeding again. So it is more of taking it easy. We got to see the peanuts...I mean, plums! today briefly on u/s. They look great. :D :D Wow...they are over 2 inches now. Almost into the second trimester for me....I still haven't gained any weight yet, but that will come I am SURE. My belly is certainly poking out. No doubt about that!

fun- How exciting!!! You must have a stubborn one in there who requires some extra pushing before doing tricks. Im so glad you got to see the little one for reassurance that everything is going great in there. You leaning towards girl or boy??

margi- Even though the bedrest stinks Im so glad things are still going great. Its good to know that your MD thinks things are going to be fine and said you should try not to worry as much (easier said than done I know). Its nice youve already gotten to see them so many times- I am sure I will be in a similar boat as I am only 8 weeks and have already seen them twice. Its crazy seeing how much bigger they get in such a short period of time. Im excited I only have a week before we get another sneak peak. As for my energy levels- I feel like each day is a marathon. Even though I have a desk job by the time I get home from work I need an hour nap just to function. Im sure it will get better with time but for now these little ones require lots of energy. I think I will feel better once I can start my nightly walking again- but the MD said to avoid exercise and sex until the huge cyst resolves. When do you go back again? And what fun stuff do you have planned for bedrest?

Blair....I couldn't help but comment on your post to Margi. You said you need a nap when you get home just to function....I WENT TO BED AT 4:30 EVERY EVENING!!!! I'm a teacher, so I had to be up a moving a lot, but when I got home I would go right up to my bed and sleep through until the morning. I couldn't survive without it. Now I can finally stay awake until 9 or 10 o'clock, but I'm home doing nothing all day! And you have THREE!!!!!!! I'm sorry you scared enough to go into the doc, but so happy to hear that all three are doing well! I love the word TINY now-a-days because I feel anything but! The nursery is at a stand-still. My MIL is giving us new floors as a gift and she comes in this weekend, so I am guessing that she will get that under way. After that we can start doing the rest, but until then it's an empty painted room!

Chris...What a great pic of your little one! Did the tech take a guess at the gender??

Margi...I'm hanging in there. I feel like my back is hurting more and more from laying around. I also notice that when I do get up, I get tired so easily. That could be because I am getting further along, or it could be "a body at rest stays at rest". Not much I can do about it though. I'm sorry you got yourself another 2 weeks, but like I keep telling myself...it will be worth it in the end!

Vicly...LOVE your new ticker! It's crazy to think that when your ticker moves to the end I will be celebrating my first Christmas with my twins! Yikes!!!!

Rio...She is so beautiful! I love those pics! Does she have a name yet?

AFM....My mom just finished my baby shower invitations and those are getting sent out! The shower is on June 4 and I cannot wait! Having a bunch of baby things in this house will make this so real! And then I can sit around while on bedrest and stare at all of it :)

I just wanted to post this picture because it made me laugh....I was 15 weeks here and I thought I had this big ole pregnant belly! My how your opinion changes once you get bigger!!!! Just had to make sun of myself for a moment!!

Ryann - I know! I'm 14 weeks and feel huge -- but I know it's only going to grow and GROW and GROW! :D I totally felt like I was waddling on my walk with the dog today - it's too early for that! If I waddle now, there is no hope for the future!

Blair - exhaustion is totally normal. I wasn't working this pregnancy at all - but last time, I would come home from work at 6pm, go straight to sleep and wake up the next morning at 8am to go back to work. I never saw DH at all! Growing babies takes a lot of energy.

Chris - cute! I love when they start to look like babies on the u/s!

Margi - 12 weeks! Hurray momma! Thanks for reassuring me that needing reassurance from my doctor is not crazy. I've been through hell, and I'd rather not go there again.

Vicky - congrats on seeing a heartbeat!

AFM - meeting with the OB tomorrow. Haven't seen him in 4 weeks. Now that I'm in the second trimester, I really want more monitoring (at least bi-weekly).... and if he thinks this is overkill and I'm being ridiculous, I'll find a new doctor, even if this one is supposed to be 'the best'. I hope it goes well!

In other big news - DH is getting braces tomorrow! Last week, he had molds taken and spacers put in. If all looks good, he'll get his good old-fashioned rail-road tracks tomorrow! Sexy, no? :D

Ryann - too funny! I love looking at my "Baby Bump Progression" folder of pics on Facebook. It's fun to see how much I've grown but it's also funny to see how the shape of my belly seems to change constantly. Sometimes it looks like all-over-big-belly and other times it's more like I've just grown a little bowling ball in the front. :D

Chris & Rio - Love the u/s pics!!! Soooo cute!!!

Leora - Good luck tomorrow with the OB! And I like your plan - if he's not willing to give you peace of mind with additional monitoring it's time to move on to one who will.

Blair - I can't imagine how exhausting it must be to be growing 3 little babies at once. One wipes me out sometimes! Glad your RE appointment showed the LO's are doing well!

Margi - sorry your bedrest got extended but you're right, it's all worth it! You are a bedrest trooper!

Vicky - congrats on seeing the h/b! Those waits between scans are tough. Do you think you're going to get a doppler to start hearing the heartbeat in a few weeks? I know some people don't like them because they get nervous about not being able to find the h/b but I swear that doppler got me through a lot of weeks with no u/s peeks at the little one.

AFM, not much happening here. I was bummed to find that plantains spike my sugar...grrr! I had a half of one the past 2 nights with dinner (not knowing the first night that that yumminess was the culprit for my high glucose reading) and boom, into the 130s for me both times. Ah well, I will just have to add them to my "after the baby arrives" list of treats. :D

Rio - I'm so glad your ultrasound was good. Her face is soo cute!! Thanks for your input on the organics. I think I will attempt that too and just limit the stuff I can't find organic such as grapes. I did check with the doctor on the protein powder - we use 100% whey with amino acids. He said that was great. I didn't think of it at first and for a couple of weeks we had some with creatine - don't know why we don't normally get that so it is a very good point.

Vicky - Congrats on seeing the heartbeat. The first time (and then everytime) is so exciting and reassuring. Yes, a baby is really growing in me. X-mas baby - how fun. I love your ticker.

Margi- I am praying that your hematoma will go away. Till then take it easy!

Blair - Glad to hear all 3 babies are doing well. Rest as much as possible. All those changes take a lot out of you. I know I had days where I could barely function. I have noticed good improvements in the 2nd trimester - I even stayed up till 1000 last night at got up feeling good at 600. So it does improve some.

to have fun - your LO is certainly starting to look like a little baby - so cute. Glad all is well.

Klinger - Here's to uneventful pregnancies!!! Sorry you have to give up your plantains.

Leora - Good luck at OB - stay firm on you needs!! You have every right to demand more - esp with your history I would think any doctor would want to follow you more closely.

Ryann - It does seem like we get huge so quickly but then you look back and realize that luckily it is kind of gradual. Gives you time to adjust to the next big step. I seem to grow a bunch every couple of weeks, then slow down for a week or 2 and then pop - I get bigger again. How fun to have your baby shower planned. That is so nice of your MIL to get you new floors. I am really wanting to get hardwoods in the great room - our carpet is light and looks so dirty... Maybe wishful thinking but maybe. We have talked about it.

AFM - found out yesterday that my blood work showed low iron. I get to join the ladies on extra iron and hopefully manage the constipation issue. Which sucks cause I have been doing so good with my pooping...(too much info?)
