Lynzee,
Sounds like you're getting things cooking! :D Lupron injections will help suppress the ovaries (make them sleep and throughout that upcoming week you'll have some ultrasounds and b/w done to check your levels) The calender can be confusing, I remember our calender didn't specif how much of saline solution to mix with the powder (for the HCG shot) and I had a time with getting ahold of my doctor, but it sounds like you have a better support system to call on them when you need something. :D Once the meds arrive go ahead and open the boxes the meds came in and get familar with them and make sure you have enough supplies (the right size syringe with plenty of alcohol swabs)

We skype dh's parents last night...Since our miscarriage, dh told his dad we've been seeking treatment and tried IVF. So when we started talking about the credit union job opportunity, I was also open-minded about upcoming doctor appointments. We have to do what makes us happy and if it means cutting back on work so I can make the doctor appts then that's what I'll do. This morning, dh and I researched clinics in our area that offer the IVF REFUND PROGRAM and we found one clinic that has a sattelite office less than one hour away. :D That really gives me new hope! So our plan is to try iui a total of 3xs with Follistim and then move on to IVF this fall- but hopefully with a guarantee program of 3 tries. Sometimes even with the IVF Attain Program IVF can work on the first try, my SIL had success that way, so you never know but each day we have new hope. Sunshine1576

Sunshine,
She told me that I will need to mix the Gonal and Repronex together and then inject them and it made me very overwhelmed but she said they would show me how when I went for my first baseline ultrasound (6/5/11) - the pharmacy told me they also have nurses on call 24/7 if I need to call them.

I am glad that there is an office close to you! (well not that far) I have faith that this will work for you! Will keep you in my thoughts and prayers and keep me posted on your journey. As I will keep you posted on mine! :D

Absolutely Lynzee, it wouldn't be the same without you! :D

AFM: Getting ready to visit the doctor about my eyes..Right side was bloodshot looking Sat/Sun... Looks better today but going to have them checked out just in case. Think I got sand in them from the beach (windy weather), but since then infection I've been tossing out all my eye makeup...

DH is going in for another SA on Wednesday morning. When he had his done last year he had high white blood cell count so they put him on antibiotics. He wants to get it checked in enough time to take the antibiotics if they are high again. Friday I'll have a more definitive plan on everything because that's when I'm supposed to get AF.

Where did everyone get their meds from? My doctor gave me a list of pharmacies. When we did IUI we got it through freedom pharmacy. Just wondering if there is one out there better than the other.

WndrGrl, I'm using Ascend Specialty RX, kind of crazy b/c it's based in South Portland, ME and I live way down south close to the Gulf but that's where the fertility meds come from straight to my doorstep. I try to be home when delivery is expected so my dogs don't get into the box. I'm familar with Follistim, helps to produce and grow more follicles (eggs), but with all meds you are closely monitored. :D Good luck w/ the Pharmacy, it's better to have one local. I was almost in a bind for my IUI because with the bad weather they called to tell me it was running behind, but luckily I had ordered it early enough.

Wow, y'all are already getting going! We have not even come to a conclusion on if or how we can afford it. If we do decide to try this summer, it will probably be in July sometime. I guess we better make a decision soon! Good luck to everyone that is already getting going with their cycle!
After 7 attempts (2 negatives/3 miscarriages), we have TWO miracle boys!! If you would like to hear our story, please visit http://www.ivfsuccessstories.info. Never give up, it can happen for you!!

I think I'm going to stick with Freedom for our meds. I used them for my Ovidrel shot for IUI. They are really quick about getting them sent. Our doctor told us that the local pharmacies are generally more expensive then the mail order ones. I figure I have some time to order them and make sure they are all delivered.

Funny story, I went last night to pick up my bcp prescription. Of course the doc wrote on there "do not take placebo pills." This had the pharmacy lady all confused. She kept asking me "Do you know why?" I told her yes I'm well aware why I can't take the placebo pills. So finally I said "It's for fertility. We are doing IVF." And she looks at me and goes, "But these pills STOP you from getting pregnant?" I just looked at her and went "Could I please just have my prescription?"

Oh bother!
