Wow, y'all are already getting going! We have not even come to a conclusion on if or how we can afford it. If we do decide to try this summer, it will probably be in July sometime. I guess we better make a decision soon! Good luck to everyone that is already getting going with their cycle!

I know how you feel Brit. If it wasn't for insurance we would not be doing it right now. Thankfully my insurance covers up to $10k and $2500 for meds. We are looking at about $3-4k out of pocket. Still a lot of money but thankfully nothing compared to what others pay. If this time doesn't work I don't think we'll be able to afford a 2nd time for quite awhile. We could definitely put it on credit cards and everything but neither one of us want to go into huge debt trying for a kid.

Hey Girls!!! How is everyone?

PHARMACY-was Mendelles..........came in the mail! Was a big box I usually get Follistim, Menopur, Estrogen, Crinone, Medrol and I think thats it along with my needles and all. Oh Ganirellix and Ovidrel...

AFM-went to RE today. Had my trail transfer and u/s everything was good AFC of 16!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was shocked! So I will be starting BCP soon and stims around JUNE 10....ER WEEK OF JUNE 20!!!!!!!!!!OMG Cant believe this is happening again! The RE said 2011 is MY YEAR Lets hope fpr me and ALL yo WONDERFUL women here

So who will be making our list?? for the cycle? Cant wait to get started with all you ladies

Anyone who is interested please let us know sometime this week ...Our format may look something like the previous ones, I had some time on my hands today, and played around with photobucket, but here is a general format. Do you see anything we might want to add to this?

AFM-not much busy working. busy life looks like my ER will be sometime around June 20-24 depending when AF arrives I will be saving any extra meds I have and would be more than happy to pass them to you ladies whom have no prescription coverage...I sometimes end up with extra follistim or menopur!

In a nutshell, the list mistress is someone who keeps track of what's going on with our summer board, for example a list is generated to tell each of us when someone is cycling, going through bcp, injectibles, in the two week wait (2ww) which we also call "crazytown"...etc. Would you know of anyone who might be interested? lol I can but cannot promise to be as good as our former list mistresses...But ironically the ones who volunteered in the past quickly got their BFPs and moved onto the Pregnant Board. Anyway let me know if you might be interested!

We will be doing a cycle in July but freezing all until october. We hope to do a donor along with mine, but our RE hasn't come across a donor with extra eggs so we don't have to pay. For those who remember my mom is on her 2nd week of chemo & radiation. Her cancer has not spread & they say it is curable. can't wait to get started again.

hello, i hope i can join here. i'm not a teacher but my mom was a retired teacher. i hope i'm qualified here. this will be my 3rd donor egg ivf cycle and also will be my last cycle. we'll then move on for the next option. i had a m/c a year ago from my 2nd DE ivf cycle. I later on was told to take the Hep B vaccines because dh was found having the Hep B infection in his history. we're asian and it's very common to have Hep B infection back then. I's advised to take 3 shots in 6 months but decided to quit after the 2nd shots because of allergic reaction from the vaccine and couldn't stand for it anymore. RE finally allows me to move forward. We've had the donor ready but i's found to have a functional cyst 18 x 23 mm on monday. Right now i'm on wait time. RE gave me a hcg shot and i will have a progesterone level b/w next week to see when i will start my prometrium. I'm on estrace now.

Wndrglr and lauren- we are close! My egg retrieval date is 6/15-6/17 she said def sometimes the week fo 6/13!! Wndrgrl, when I went to pharmacy I was getting prenatals and birth control and the pharmacist was SOO confused she was like ummm are you pregnant?? I said no it's all pre-IVF she was like ohh ok! hahahah

Thanks wndrgirl- that's great that you have coverage! Wish I could be so lucky. Since we have donor embryos frozen we don't have to pay too much. Last I checked it was around 5-6 thousand. But I'm not sure if this has went up or not. To us that is still a lot of money. We had to put quite a bit on credit cards on the journey to get our son, but he was worth every penny! Good luck to everyone getting started soon!

Lynzee - Wow we are really close! I think this is the first time I'm actually excited to see AF come to town because then I'll be able to get a more definite timeline. I'm still putting out of my mind about the shots.

Is anyone worried about the possibility of multiples? Our RE told us the max she would transfer was 2 embryos because of our health and age. She said we would even be good with just 1. Jason & I talked on Saturday and I asked if he would want 2 transferred and he said yes. He wants the most bang and the best chances. I asked him if he was okay about the possibility of twins and he said "Yup. We'd learn to adapt." I'm still a little nervous about it. He's a firefighter and works 24 hours shifts. So for 24+ hours 8 days a month it's just me.

I know it's probably silly to even think about that right now when I haven't even begun the process.
