Wndrgrl- we really are alike!! I have been going back and forth about how many to transfer, but I think I have decided that its a lot of work to take the risk with only putting one in so I agree with Jason! I want the most bang and the best chances! . I know I would get accustomed to having twins and so I am going to put 2 in (my doctor said the same thing about the most being 2because of age and health) I almost have it set in my mind that I will be having twins just so I can get used to the idea I always say "when I have my babies"
(and am also NOT thinking about the shots right now) I start the first injection 5/26 sooo nervous!

Ha Lynzee. Glad I'm not the only one with this thinking! There isn't much that we would need to change in our life with twins. We have cars/trucks that would fit 2 babies. I think that makes it a little easier. But yeah, coming down to it we'll put 2 in because, as Jason says, "What if only 1 doesn't take?"

wndrgrl- we transferred 4 embies twice and got a chemical once & a BFN the next. I am 31 & DH is 30 but our RE was okay with all 4 which really surprised me bc he is very conservative.

Margi- Thank you I am so glad ur pregnancy is going so well. I told DH that if this time didn't work we were saving our money and headed to California. He said why California and I said because that is where Margi got her babies...LOL

Rypell1985- Thank you for keeping up with me August is not too far away. I am so excited for you!!

Amanda-Thats hilarious about telling your DH about California! It was a basal count actually IDK the difference Good news about your mom. Will keep you in my prayers for your BFP and for a cancer free recovery for your momma and yes 2011..........its got to be it!!!! You will be doing DE ? or did you say both? COnfused...

Lynzee & Wrdgirl-YAY!!!!!!!!! in about a month we will all be headed into CRAZYTOWN Telling you girls now dont let me POAS.........I make myself crazier (if thats possible ) What protcols are you girls doing again? as far as how many? Ive always put two in...I did my first at age 28 so im not sure. its a risk but to me its worth it...guess also depends on the RE and the embies grading? Maybe if I had better embryos they might re-think it? idk we dont usually discuss it till we get closer to ET.

Good Evening Ladies, (well it may be good morning to some of you across the ocean )...Isn't it neat how we can make friends from all over world? I'm personally glad that we found each other and I know it has made this journey so much more worthwhile for me. I don't know where I would be without you, well maybe in a mental institution somewhere! Sometimes I may ramble on here but most of all I'm looking for someone to share the craziness with!
Tonight one of my former co-workers texted me to tell me loyalty is hard to come by with certain people in her life, and I know where is coming from...I really do!

I am excited we are getting things kicked off for our special Summerboard and I thinking at least I might give the list mistress a try...

Lauren, too funny! Seems like here lately I keep finding new jobs in my life, even after the interviewing I'm still getting calls (and had to turn a job offer down today), but if this brings me closer to my baby it will be all worth it!

Wndrgrl, I loved your bcp story with the pharmacy, they just don't get it! omg, I ran into one of my dh's students the last time I went into CVS. I mean she was the one who rang up my birth control pills and she saw my last name and asked if I was related and I should of responded who? lol it was kind of embarrassing in a small way.

Hi Ladies!

Can I join you here? I am currently taking bcp for our first (and hopefully only) round of IVF. My dh and I had 3 failed IUI last summer then too a bit of a break and are now ready for this adventure. I don't know my exact protocol because the doc wanted to take some time to prepare the best one for my needs.

I am 34, DH is 40. He's a rock star but I have a history of severe endometriosis which had left my fertility in the toilet. I had excision surgery in Dec 2008 with removed an obscene amount of adhesions and endo and put my parts back in place. I also have Multiple Sclerosis and had to stop my meds in order to ttc.

I'm not a teacher, but am a speech language pathologist in the schools. Does that count?

Sunshine- great job on the list! I think you make the perfect list mistress! we can all help out a little with the list if you need it! I am so happy to have met all you ladies, it has made this journey already a million times easier!

Lauren- I have already been thinking about wether or not I will POAS but am not goning to even think to deep on that until after ER and ET! I am not exactly sure about the protocol but my calendar says OCP/Low Lupron Cycle.. they are using low dose meds I know that much! LOL ... I have definitely decided on two (if there are two to put in)

Amanda - So happy for the news about your mom!!

what is AFC?? Sorry still don't know some abbreviations! This is the year for ALL of us, I have such a good feeling about our summer board!!

AFM- nothing much going on, just waiting to start my injectibles! I am the maid of honor in a wedding in July and the bachelorette party is the weekend of 6/17-6/19 which also might be my ER/ET dates OOPS! I tried to postpone ER/ET but they said it would be postponed by months so I am going to go through with it, if I have to miss the bachelorette party then hopefully my friend will understand...

Welcome blue eyed! I'm not a teacher either...I just busted in and made myself comfy on the board.

Lynzee - I believe I'm going to start on 6/4. 5/14 I start bcp (tentatively 2nd day of AF). I have a suppression check on 6/3 where they will do an u/s and blood draw. At that time they'll give me my schedule listing meds, blood draws, u/s appointments and such. Roughly 6/4 it says Day 1 of ART cycle. "Stimulation medication injections begin."

I'm thinking I'm going to be at my doctors a lot in June. On 6/8 of my schedule it says "frequent blood draw." Yikes! I guess this will get me over my fear of needles haha.

My doctor gave me a list of meds and some pharmacies to call around to get price quotes. When we did IUI I got my ovidrel shot through Freedom so I called them up. They are so super nice on the phone. The gal went through all the prices with me and on one of them told me to ask my doctor if I could use gonal F instead because it's the same med, different manufacturer, and it's cheaper. I did the price and it's looking about $3300 for the meds. My insurance will pay up to $2500 so we are looking at under $1000 OOP for meds. I'm so relieved that that. I was thinking it was going to be more along the lines of $3000 OOP. She also said they'd send the sharps container and all the needles needed for free. It's crazy how "real" this is all starting to feel.

Just wanted to get back in the swing of the board, it looks like it is in full effect

I recieved all of my meds yesterday which was a bit overwhelming. My DH and I are going to sit down on Sunday night and investagate it all. I am starting Lupron on the 17th, this coming Tuesday. So Lynzee I am pretty near to your cycle. My RE does not have me taking BCP.

Question for all you ladies.... I have a lot going on this summer and even today one of my best firends called and invited me and DH to an MLB game on July 25th. I am nervous about making commitments and stuff. I mean by then I will know whether I am BFP or BFN. Just nervous. Should I be? Oh and I don't know what AFC is either. Can someone fill me in? Thanks girls!!! I can't wait to read about all the updates and GOOD news

I wouldn't be too nervous. I would say yes to the game. If you get a BFN the game will take your mind off it and give you some fun that you'll need. DH & I have still planned our summer and aren't turning down plans.

I have no idea what AFC is either so I'm no help at all!
