Lou - a girl! Hurray! Of course, either sex is great, but it's so wonderful to know! I hope you are having a great time on your vacation and not missing us too much ;)

Mellow - she is absolutely adorable. All of you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Sonya - I hope things are good by you and you are feeling good. Don't feel bad about leaving people out - I always forget someone! You are getting so close to meeting your little boy - enjoy some down time now, while you still can!

Kay - my NT scan tech said he thought it looked like 2 boys - but I have a friend who was carrying triplets and told at the NT scan that it looked like 3 girls.... and it was 3 boys! So I'm waiting a little longer before I buy anything blue!

Kat - you should pop in and STAY! :D I'm so happy for you! Did you have your first u/s yet?

Blair - I hear ya, sister! Definitely get as much meds as you can... HG is no joke. I hope you feel better and start to gain weight soon. I've stopped losing weight, which is great, but haven't gained any back yet... and I can feel these babies growing! That means they are sucking it right out of me :D Feel better!

Barbara - that bee sting sounds scary! It would never occur to me that things my husband is allergic to could be a problem for the baby. I'm so glad to hear your little girl is okay.

Stephanie - I think we are also going to buy the Baby Jogger City Mini Double... but I think I like the green/gray! I also hope it lives up the reviews. I have a friend with a toddler and a baby who SWEARS by the Peg Pergo Duette, but it's really big and scary looking! Have you thought of getting a double Snap'n'Go for the beginning? We bought one used for about $25 last time around. Lot's of twin moms say that it's a life saver the first few weeks

nwquiz - you should also join us here! I'm so happy to hear your good news! When is your u/s?

AFM - Not such good news this week.... DH's last surviving grandparent passed away on Friday (I still have 3 of 4 of mine). His parents flew to Cleveland for the funeral. I couldn't fly (my doctor says it would be okay, but I'm too nervous for a 14 hour transatlantic flight) and DH couldn't get off of work. It's sad. Even though DH is one of the youngest cousins, his grandfather never got to become a great-grandfather (unless you count our twins who died at birth). I think we will probably name one twin after him (any advice on making the name "Henry" more modern?)

DH says he is fine - his grandfather was 97 and living in a nursing home, bedridden a few years now after a few broken hips/knees. He had a heart attack a few weeks ago and was in the ICU since then. This wasn't a surprise for anyone. But it's still hitting DH kinda hard.

Otherwise, things are fine here - as far as I'm concerned. I can't believe it's almost 15 weeks already. I'm starting to feel huge. I think the first 'belly pic' will be on Tuesday (at exactly 15 weeks).

My next scan is at 16w2d. Technically, it's supposed to be a short scan, just to check my cervical length -- but I'm going to beg and beg for the tech to check their sexes!

Hi girls just a quick hi.

I wanted to let everyone know I have been following everything but as Sonya sometimes don't feel I can give the necessary attention to personals. I am having strong BH at night, at 11 pm normally so much so I have to lie down or sit. But never more than 4 in an hour. After week 32 OB is putting me on non stress tests. DH got a new job which has lots of pros but lots of cons too so this week has been busy trying to get baby stuff done while I have energy. I am not sleeping well and so tired all the time, You twin mommas are my heros!

Mellow - following you and sending you any energy I have left!!!!

Leora- So sorry about your DH's Grandfather. I love the name Henry :)

Riogrl-So sorry about the heartburn:( I had really bad heartburn with my daughter.

AFM: Ladies I'm ready to join you! We saw the baby and baby's heartbeat. It was 117 :) I asked her if that was good and she said it was really good. She said they like to see it over 100. Phew!! I am 6 weeks 1 day and I'm measuring 6 weeks 1 day! Due date is January 8th!

Sweetpea- Congrats on seeing your little ones and the heartbeat!! Its so reassuring to see that everything is looking the way it should. When do you go back again?

Rio- Stinks that you are having stronger BH but that just means that you are closer to the end. Ive heard that the no sleep at the end is just your bodies way of preparing for no sleep when the little one gets here.

Leora- Im glad you stopped losing weight. I guess the plus with me is I haven’t thrown up enough to lose weight, Im just not gaining any. I have read that I should gain at least 20 lbs in the first 20 wks which means I have a little over 11 wks to put on 20 lbs- easier said than done when I always feel sick. Sorry to hear about the loss in your family, but it did sound like he lived a very long and good life.

Klinger- You are one lucky duck for not having any m/s. I definitely wouldn’t wish this upon anyone. Your cupcake, ice cream sundae, and Italian sub all sound like they will be awesome after baby treats. Im sure you can add a couple more things to the list over the next few weeks.

Mellow- What a beautiful little girl you have there. I loves watching the video!! Im sooo happy you got to hold her and that she is starting to get some breastmilk. Hopefully she starts chunking up and can come home with you sooner than later.

DandMe- Make sure not to overdo things. Sounds like you have a lot going on so just make sure you take all the time you need to relax and keep that baby healthy.

Waitingkay- Im not sure that with the increased number of babies the symptoms are worse- but it sure feels like it. We are still coming to terms with 3 babies and even when we talk about it – it still seems surreal. Last night when we were discussing names DH said it still doesn’t seem real that Im actually pregnant, so to think that I could potentially be almost a ¼ of the way done is crazy.

Lou- Hope the vacation is great!!! Hopefully you are even picking up some little dresses and bows for your little one! Love the names Peyton and Chloe!! Not sure how the gender predictor works when Im expecting 3…guess theres a 50% chance that it will get at least one of the babies genders right. Since there is a set of identical twins they should be the same sex.

Happy Bunny- Thanks for the suggestion on popcicles. DH got some on his way home from work Friday and Ive been enjoying 2 a day. Sorry to hear about the bee incident but thanks for the heads up on the allergy info.

Babyblu-I really do feel like DH doesn’t believe me half the time. I usually do a thorough house cleaning every Saturday and this week I had to take breaks in between rooms and then laid down on the couch for an hour afterwards because I felt like I just finished a marathon. I get so exhausted by barely doing anything but I guess hes starting to get used to it.

AFM- only 2 more sleeps until my apt! Im sooooo excited and anxious I cant wait. I am a little nervous that something happened and all 3 wont be doing well. Even though I haven’t had cramping or bleeding I just worry that something will happen to one of them and we wont find out until the next US.

Amanda - milky way caramel, chocolate milk shake are on my list!!! I can't wait to get rid of this diet!

Blair - I don't think men ever fully get what we go through. My Dh is very supportive but nothing like being there to know. I have never been so tired with a 2.5 yo and pregnant, I don't know how those women used to have 4 kids under 4 and be pregnant again, I would be pooped! So glad you can be a SAHM! Your 3 little beans will be perfect, we need pics!

Kat - I am so happy you are here! Huge congrats!

Margi - hoping your bleeding will go away pronto!

Leora - sorry about DH's grandpa. Yeah I would not put much faith into the sex right now and wait a bit. If they are boys, oh my! Good luck with the terrible twos in double!!! ;)

Stephanie - wow I cannot believe you moved being pregnant with twins, you rock! Wow! Show us some pics of that swimming pool! When should we all come for the housewarming?

Bunny - yeah my contractions are at the end of the day too but it is hard to relax and not do anything when there is so much to do!

Lou - have a fun time with DH!!!

Mellow - wonderful video!!!!!

SDtrying/Karenvancouver - how are you girls doing? How are the terrible twos treating you? We are in full force - defiance, you name it we got it! Being pregnant and trying to catch a naked 2.5 yo who doesn't want to shower is quite the athletic feat these days! I am poooooooped and no sleeping either so that is not helping, I have to come to work to be able to sit down!

I have been searching for a sling and found a really good one, Karma baby. It sells at Target for $60 but you can get them 1/2 off for today and tomorrow at the site above, they have a fleece one and a water baby one for the pool! They also have leg warmers which can be hard to find! This site is pretty cool you get deeply discounted nice stuff but goes away quickly though, you can sign up for alerts!

Hi ladies! Had my growth scan today and Maribel's doing awesome. Looks like she's going to be a good sized baby too. After doing all of their measurements, she measured 33w4d (we're 31w5d today) and they estimated her weight at 4lb 10oz. My next appt would have been in 2 weeks but my doc will be on vacation that week, so my next appointment will be in 3 weeks instead. It's amazing to think I'll be almost 35 weeks then so we'll really be in the home stretch. I think after all we went through with our previous losses and then my TAC surgery at 12w4d, I'm just in awe that it really looks like we're going to make it to the end. Soooo happy!! :D

Hi all.

Sorry, I have some major catching up to do. I've been extremely busy with life lately, not to mention overly stressed. I've been such an emotional wreck lately. As if the pregnancy hormones were not enough to make me emotional over the littlest of things, but we just received news from DH's work that they approve for him to work from home in Dallas, TX! So.. in the next month or two, we will be moving to TX from my beloved California! DH wanted this all along so we could finally purchase our first home and so our child would have a big backyard to run around in. It will also be better for DH and potentially our baby's health because DH has asthma and the environment there is much better than the smoggy atmosphere here in the bay area. Additionally, I can continue my education there to become a nurse anesthetist because they have one of the best schools in the US. I know it will be a good step for us, but at the same time, I can't stop crying over the fact that I will be leaving my other family behind. My dad called me this morning asking me to reconsider the decision and he sounded so sad. More than anything, I cannot bear the thought of leaving my parents. I'm SO attached to them, I don't know how to deal with this. I want to hope for the best, but my dad is already in his late 60's and both my parents have been having a lot of medical issues lately. I know I should not think of the worst, but I don't know how much time I have with them, and the thought that they won't be around enough to play with their grandchild just hurts! DH's family is all in The Netherlands and he was never really that close to them, but I'm close to all my family members, so it really really hurts that we have to move so far away. Besides, we won't know anyone there! I'm starting to question my abilities of being a good mother, especially without any other family members around for help.

In other news, I was supposed to have my appointment with my OB next Tuesday, but I had to reschedule it because the date and time conflicted with a legal case that I have to attend in court. Ugh. So now my appointment is scheduled for Thursday of next week when I'll be 18 weeks 6 days (gosh, where has the time gone!?). I don't think she's going to do an U/S then and I do not even have an appointment scheduled for finding out the baby's gender as of yet. So I'll have to wait and see what I'm having till at least week 20, IF I get an appointment soon after my next OB appt.

Anyone in Texas/Dallas area that can give me some advice on where to rent an apt for a few months while we're there hunting for homes? :)

I hope you all are doing well! I will try to catch up soon! Much love to all!

Klinger- that is wonderful news. It' seems time is flying by. You must be so excited to be coming so close to meeting Maribel.

HopeIsallihave- Congrats on your DH's new position. Sorry though it requires you moving away from your family though. I did that when I was just 18 and I moved 3 hours away. It was a HUGE adjustment and very hard at first. I might recommend joining a Mother's group or something to meet other Mom's so you can build a support group.

Leora- How are you feeling? Your next scan is right around the corner. Can not wait to see belly pics.

Riogrl- I can't imagine being pregnant and chasing a 2 year old. OMG! Mine are 6 years apart. It exhaust me just thinking about it. Koodos to the ladies who do.

Blair- Your scan is today right? Thinking of you and your babies.

Sorry if I missed anyone I just have a few minutes to log on as work has been pretty busy.

AFM: Meeting with my regular OBGYN today at 1:30 so she can refer me to the MFM doctor. My next scan is on the 31st. Can not wait :) I'm also coming down with a cold. So not only am I nauseau all morning I'm dealing with a sore throat and congestion.

Ashley: I'm about 2.5 hours from Dallas, TX. My husband is military, so I'm a transplant to this area as well. The toughest things that I see ahead for you are traffic and cultural differences. Dallas has horrid traffic. Before choosing a home, check the roads at rush hour so that you'll know how your area is affected. The cultural differences... Cowboys, oil and Jesus - being from South Florida, it took me some time to get used to conservatism. Oh yeah, and it's hot... HELLA hot. I often say that the worst job in the world must be a Texas roofer.

Now the good stuff: Fortunately, Dallas is a big city so there will be tons for you to do. It will be some time before you run out of areas and events to explore. Dallas also has a major hub airport so when you fly home to see family, it will be convenient for you and you'll get good prices on fares. Sometimes, I fly out of Dallas because it's several hundred dollars less than my local airport. There's a lot of jobs in Dallas - the oil industry keeps the area booming.

AFM: I had my 34 week check up... The doctor complimented me on being so healthy which I don't believe has ever happened before! Brooke also kicked the doctor when she took my belly measurement, just after she asked me about fetal movement. Uh, yeah... We've got lots of fetal movement, lol. I'm in the home stretch, feeling good and anxious to hold our baby.

Happy- great news on your appt today. Youre getting so much closer to the finish line and seeing Brookes little face.

Sweetpea- Why do you have to see MFM? It sucks that you are getting a cold...I couldnt imagine having a cold on top of the constant nausea so I feel for you. Hoping its short lived and you are able to bounce right back. Howd your appt go today?

cherry- Glad your little one is doing well and wiggling all over the place. Sorry to hear about your MIL but hopefully she is doing better.

hopeisallihave- Congrats on hubbys new location. Im sure you will end up loving TX and Im sure the allergies will be better. Even though it will be tough to leave your family and friends I am sure they will all be more than willing to come visit often. Congrats on getting close to 18 wks...time flies.

klinger- Glad to hear Maribel is doing great and is already quite the chunker. By the time you go back in 3 wks she will be so much bigger.

rio- Nice looking sling. Im trying to find out if there are any available for use with more than one baby but who knows. DH jokes that once they are here we wont be able to afford to go anywhere anyway so I shouldnt worry. As for being a SAHM...its not really because we wanted to, but its pretty much our only option. Since daycare costs and gas would exceed my salary its just not worth it.

Leora- Where are the belly pics? Time really is flying for everyone and I cant believe you already are at 15 wks- congrats.

SD- hope you got to catch up on the sleep from the night before. Im sure you are beyond exhausted chansing your little one around.

AFM- Well appt went great and all 3 babies looked huge compared to last week. He measured them all and said they are growing great. The twins are a little smaller than the triplet but he said they are the same size which is good, and its normal for them to be a little smaller. He also said they both have their own amniotic sacs which was more good news. They all had strong heartbeats and were even dancing around on the screen. Even thoough we didnt get good pictures- the pics make them look like fat little blobs whereas on the screen they had little arms, we will be switching to MFM in town and will probably go back in 2 wks. My official due date is 12/22 so I think my ticker is a day off but Im not even gonna switch it at this point since its highly unlikely that we will make it that long anyway. Hope everyone is doing well.
