I did bedrest for 48 hours. The 3rd day, I was up and about at home, but still tried to lay horizontal for as long as I could. I know there may not be any scientific data to support this, but I wanted to help my chances as best as possible. Good luck!!

I had the transfer Tuesday morning and was flat in bed until Thursday night. I went back to work Friday but tried not to do too much. I know the recommendations vary from MD to MD but I wanted to do whatever I could to make it work like Ashley said.
Same here. I had my transfer on a Thursday and stayed in bed until Tuesday. I planned on going back to work Monday, but decided one more sick day wouldn't be too bad mine is extreme, I know, but since I could, I did. Good luck with your FET!

I did bedrest for 2 days and then I continued to take it easy for the rest of the 2ww. If I wasn't busy doing something, I was on the couch with my feet up. (I work from home so I also worked from my couch.) I just figured taking it easy certainly couldn't hurt.

for my first IVF - I decided I wasn't going to let this ruin my life. I rested the day of the ET (sitting on the couch, not bed) but did everything normal the next day (including a minor trip to the gym to swim as well as running errands). After a transfer of 2 three day embryos - I got pregnant with twins.
For our FETs, I was so careful and stayed in bed - BFNs.
This time around, I stayed in bed and around the house (because I had just been laid off!) - BFP with twins again.
I'm not sure it makes a huge difference, but at least you feel like you are doing something helpful....
8 IVF+6 FET=6 BFN+8 BFP =

-mc 5wk (2.12)

-BO (4.13)-
-mc 6wk (9.13)
last attempt - donor sperm - baby girl born healthy July 2014
I did what my clinic recommended which was bed/couch rest the day of ET and then back to normal activities the next day. That for me is a desk job with some walking around. I didn't work out at the gym or play tennis until after my BFP.

I followed my clinic's instructions, which was 24 hours bed rest and then light activities for the 2ww. That meant walking instead of my usual gym workouts and only light housecleaning.
1st beta 1,431=Twins!
1 boy and 1 girl, came early!
My clinic said try to be a couch potato for the first day. I asked them if it was ok to go to the beach the next day, they thought it was a good idea. She said to move around, not strict bed rest because you want to keep your blood flowing. The main reason they gave me why not to exercise was your ovaries could twist (fresh cycle). During my first cycle I was told that there was a study where after IVF woman jumped on a trampoline for an hour versus woman on bed rest and both groups got pregnant at the same rate. However she said you don't want to do anything that later if you get a BFN you will regret. I think do whatever feels right to you.
I did modified bed rest for the first 2 days. My transfer was on Thursday afternoon, so I took Friday off work. I took it easy over the weekend but returned to work (as a physical therapist - fairly active) on Monday. I modified my exercises due to the ovaries and was fairly limited in 2ww. I did what felt good - if it didn't feel right, I stopped. I had BFP with twins. I think listen to your body, do what feels right and don't do anything that you would regret. I personally felt a little activity was good as long as it did not bother me.

I think it depends on each person. But the best thing for me I think is to just take a bed rest so your body will be at its best on the time of your FET. Good luck!
i did bedrest the first time around and it worked! so i figured the 2nd time i would do the same..... outcome?......preggo again! i would do it just because i wanted my body to b rested and didnt want to risk nothing. i just didnt want to have anything i could go back and say "oh i wish i hadnt of dome that"
