My boss knows that we were doing IUI but she doesn't know that we've moved to IVF. Once I have firm dates I'll tell her about it because there will be times when I'll need to work from home or take the entire day off.

I've been meaning to tell my Mom but I've been a little hesitant. She knows our struggles and about the IUI. The only thing I"m hesitant on is that I don't have much to tell her now as far as dates. She will definitely know what we are going to do and what the dates are.

DH's parents don't know and I'm not going to tell them. I don't want the constant asks from them "How's it going?" With my Mom she waits until I tell her something. She's not constantly asking me if I'm pregnant now or not.

Thanks for including me in the updates Sunshine...I don't know why my nerves are getting the best of me this go round. I am so nervous about this FET - wondering if the embies are still there, will they be mine? Maybe it's the long gap that has me worried. It's been since 2007. Anyone else have a big space from one procedure to the next?

ladybug -
The only people who knew were those in my very close circle (DH of course, my mom, mil, sisters, and 1 friend). I didn't even tell my job - I just told my principal that I was under a doctor's care. It was my first IVF (and last) and I didn't know what to expect, so I didn't want to answer a lot of questions about it.

Hi Girls,

WndrGrl - Thanks for the advice we are planning the baseball trip as we speak, since we do have to travel a bit over 2 hrs. Which was the nerve-racking part.
Lauren -Thanks for clarifying AFC :) I will be sure to keep my ears open at my baseline app for that.
Sunshine - That list is awesome, thanks for keeping us all up to date an each other’s cycle!

Ladybug - AFM regarding the who I have shared that I am doing IVF with has only been immediate family, my parents, in laws, sister, and BFF, who I know won't even tell her DH, and of course all of you ladies :) And as far as work I plan on not saying anything either. It is gossip city in my building. Even though two women did IVF, both BFP with triplets!! So I would love to be able to discuss some things with them, but keeping my nose out. I am a teacher and am going for my baseline the 27th of May, also if all goes to plan will start the stims that day as well, which I will take a sick day for. And that will leave me with about 20 sick days. My last day of school is June 9th :) I will be cutting it close but if I need to take a few days I will. However, I don't feel the need to share. I have my DH to talk to along with my mom an RN who has been great, maybe even a bit too involved, and BFF. I do have a fabulous circle of close girl friends but I don't want them to feel they can't talk about their children around me, or about having more, which they all want, or even fun moments and milestones. I am very happy for all my friends and their families, I love them all and enjoy hearing all they have to say. Plus it is so easy for them. Two of them were preggers on their first try, the other her second! Also, the reason why I am doing IFV is a because of a family genetic issue. My dad was showing symptoms, which led all kinds of testing which led to the diagnosis of Fragile X. So this is just doesn't affect me and DH, but my dad’s health status, and if my sister ever wants children she will have to do IVF as well. So I am not just airing my business, but my family's. Not that I have to state the reason. Hope this helped :)

Lastly, We received a video to watch along with our follistim pen and needles at the RE’s office. We are watching it tonight, since Lupron injections are in the same vicinity. Start Lupron this Tuesday!!!

Hi Ladies,

So I started lupron today and oh boy did the headaches come right behind it. I had to take tynolel today, I could deal with it. I still have a headache lingering but nothing too major now.

As for who I discuss IVF with only my DH, Mom and Sister. I havent told anyone else because I do not want to deal with all the questions. My BFF knew when I was doing IUI and OMG she was calling and asking about it all the time. It got to the point where I didn't answer my phone. As for work when I did my last IVF i ended up faking flu so I could have bed rest. I cannot tell them at work they wouldn't understand and also I dont want to deal with the questions all the time. This way I can relax and only have to deal with mom, sister and DH questions. Actually DH just goes with the flow and waits for me to talk or vent to him lol he says its like walking on glass around you lately, meds make me moody LOL.

Weekend is over and back to work tomorrow. Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend

Hi everybody! I haven't posted in a few weeks but I am back! HI SUNSHINE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, just quickly looking through the Summer Board I don't recognize many if any but I am happy to cycle with all of you! So my story is in my signature, going for try #4 this summer.

So had my WTF appointment on Friday and RE had no good reason why Cycle # 3 with PGD (2 perfect girls) didn't work. My guess is because I transferred them on a Fresh cycle. Historically I have only gotten pregnant on my FET so I thinks maybe the stress of ER/ET messes my body up. So where do we go from here?

Well we are doing a Fresh cycle in July even though we have 1 perfect boy frozen! We will collect whatever eggs we can and then PGD them on day 5. They will all go on ice and then once we find out what good embies we have we will transfer via FET in August. SEEMS LIKE FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Until then I am going to start taking a bunch of DHEA, Royal Jelly, tons of Vitamins and eat healthy. I am starting to run again so I can loose some lbs from the last cycle.

Looking forward to getting to know all of you!
Happy Sunday!

xoxo Jennifer

I love that we have some new friends to get to know as well as some family on here too. :D
Kynlee-- So excited to hear about your next upcoming IUI cycle, and I cannot wait to hear more about the donor! So exciting, :D it must be hard to select one when you want to make sure he's the best fit in so many ways. :P

JenMink-- We cycled previously together too and I really appreciate the "credit union" advice you gave me. I love that you have a son waiting for a little later on and like you said FET often works out better!

Akdelp-- I'm offically adding you to our list tonight! :D (I'm still trying to get dh to try tuna, but he'll eat oysters anytime! lol)
Yes, we're going to have many upcoming success stories on our board! Miracles happen here and we need to pick a color for our summerboard. I remember it was green/orange for the April/May group and alot of us went out and bought orange panties! So much fun and I loved the color green because green stands for fertility, so we started a garden theme.
What do you ladies think?

AS I listen to my own dog whimper wanting to come in, I cannot help but think Vegas will always be my baby...
Jcbaby-- that is so neat that your neighbor has a lab mix named Vegas too. I had never heard of the name before, we just thought we were lucky to have adopted Vegas from "the animal hospital"...Yes someone had dropped her off at the vet and left her for 10 DAYS and our vet knew we were looking for another lab mix too, so we had to add her to our family. She's an alpha female who was overweight from eatting Blackjack's food, but we quickly realized and now separate their bowls at dinner time! :D

Ladybug-- lol I have to tell you I think by now everybody knows about dh and I starting a family...Now I'm like you that I don't tell them about the actual dates for upcoming procedures because it is way too much drama already... They do know we have doctor appointments, and thankfully it all worked out with my new boss. I told her before she hired me on, but took a risk in telling her ahead. Sometimes we have to decide on what's more important and the bank hours were tough when I had to leave several days throughout the week during my lunch break on a rush to the clinic with people waiting. Much better now though!

My favorite 9 year old neighbor, Belles just came over for crafts and so I better go and spend a little time with her right now, no telling what her creative mind will lead us into making! :D More personals later, I do promise and love to hear from you!

Hello everyone! I am new to the board and will be going through my 2nd round of Fresh IVF. 1st round BFP with an ectopic in Sept 2010 in which they had to remove and ovary and tube, then FET Feb 2011 with BFP ending in a m/c at 5wks. So hopefully 3rd time is a charm. I am already taking Lupron. I started on 05/12. I go for an ultrasound on Wed. 05/18. From there they will be able to tell me when I will have my ER and ET. CANNOT WAIT! Both of my sister-in-laws are preg and it's very depressing to go through so much and they get preg no problems. But that's just the way it goes! Good luck to all of you and look forward to sharing stories!

Thanks :D

Welcome RNB,
Yes, it is difficult to be around the "fertile ones" LOL. But, this is your time. The third time will be the charm :D
