Blair-That is such good news!! So happy for you.

I have to go to an MFM because when I was 20 I had serious complications with my 2nd pregnancy. She got severe hydrops and than in turn made me very sick. They think it may have been caused from exposure from Fifth's disease because I tested negative for lupus and diabetes. I'm the first case ever where they baby got sick from Fifth's disease and then in turn made me very ill. I was in congested heartfailure, with my lunsg being 75% filled with fluid by the time I made it to the hospital among other things. It was a very scary time, it was like an episode of ER. I also tested negative for Fifth's disease but they found a small trace of what could be Fifth's disease in the placenta. Needless to say they are not 100% sure so they watch me like crazy. After the birth I was in the ICU for a week and it was touch and go if I would make it. I than got out of ICU and then got 3 pulmonary embolism and my lung ended up colapsing. I could go on and on with the complications. I was in the hospital for a full 2 weeks. I may have to be put of lovenox for this pregnancy (I wasnt with my third Angela but there was question of one with her hence they took her 5 weeks early. She's my 13 year old and the last time I was pregnant). I meet with the MFM doctor next Wednesday and should know. My obgyn said pregnancy alone can puts you in a coagulant state and since I've already had them than my chances are even higher of getting one.

I already have lots of doctors appointments on top of RE's :( I will have an 8 week scan a 12 week scan and than none until 18 weeks. Second trimester I will get one possibly monthly and last trimester possibly every other week and last month every week.

Pulmonary embolism's are very serious and a risk that happens when you have c-sections. Unfortunetly a lot of people do not survive them. I survived 3 all in one lung in major arteries. They went from bigger to smaller too. I'm very very lucky to be alive.

Addy- Congrats. I've been sick from the start it seems and it's all monring until 2:30 in the afternoon and with my previous I never got sick until 8 weeks. So it definitely varies person to person and pregnancy to pregnancy.

Addy - Welcome and CONGRATULATIONS!! This group is awesome so you'll love it. And I've never had m/s with any of my pregnancies - had some touches of nausea a few evenings, peeing frequently, and tired, but that's really it in the beginning. Honestly didn't even "feel" pregnant in those early weeks.

Kat - Wow, you really went through the ringer in the past! Hope that MFM keeps you healthy and you don't have the scares you've had previously.

Blair - So glad all 3 little ones are doing great! Such wonderful news and I love the thought of all those little arms & legs waving around in there. Smiles x 3 :D :D :D

Rio - Mmmm, your post-delivery food choices sound so good! Especially that chocolate milkshake. I've been a furnace with this baby - I'm just hot all of the time - so that sounds sooo cool and refreshing. Ah well, not much longer for either of us!!

Barbara - Glad your appointment went well and wow, you are soooo close to meeting Brooke! I can't wait until pictures of all of these babies start pouring in!

Hopeisall - Wow, that's a tough one. Do you think your parents would also want to move? And don't doubt yourself, you're going to be a great momma!!

Hello all - Yeah Wednesday is almost over then we are in the home stretch for the weekend!!!

Leora - I am so glad your OB was so good and is doing what you need and want. Sorry to hear about your DH grandfather. Sounds like he had a good life but it is hard when you can not be there. Also YAY 15 weeks. Time seems to go by so quickly but yet it seems like the end is forever away.

Klinger - you look great! I can only imagine how excited you are getting now that you are closer to the end. Hope the BH ease up. I am so glad to hear Maribel is growing so well. That must have been so exciting to see on the ultrasound.

Stephane - I'm glad moving and unpacking is getting finished up. Take care of that swelling!! It is great to hear you are doing so well and can still manage so much activity. I have been feeling so good but I keep waiting for it to get worse, so it is nice to hear how active you still are. I just stay thankful for every good day.

Lou - Congrats on your little girl!!! I don't know or understand cord placement but will send you lots of good thoughts that all will be well. Have a great time on your trip. My DH and I keep trying to plan something and then other things happen and we haven't got anything planned yet. So I am very jealous of your trip. Sounds like a great time.

Karin - Sorry to hear about your very limited bedrest. Bout sounds like you need to take care of yourself and the baby. How fun to start getting baby stuff. Amazon is great - we do lots of shopping there.

Vicky - Hope work is treating you ok. Rest as much as you can when you get home. The first trimester it took everything I had to make it through a day - then home and couch!!

Kat - CONGRATS!!! I am so excited for you. I had stalked but never joined the IVF group and was so saddened by your story so I am overjoyed to hear the next round worked!!! Hope your cold is feeling better. How scary was your previous pregnancy!! You are indeed blessed to be alive. Take care with this one - sounds like your doctors are taking very good care of you!!

Hope - Congrats on DH job and the move (I think). I know it is very hard to leave family. I live in AL and my family is all in MN. But you gain very good friends - ones you can choose!! Also the time with your family becomes all the more special and meaningful. We have been lucky that when my mom retired her and my step dad come and spend a month with us. I know for some that would be a lot but it is a wonderful month that just kind of slows down (and my mom takes care of me!! bonus). It is hard at first but you will find ways to make it work.

Blair - Hang in there! Hopefully the MS will ease up or pass. Glad to hear your appt went well and all the babies are growing and doing great!

Mellow - I loved your video - thank you for sharing. She is precious - such a blessing and such a little fighter. I am so happy you are both doing well and Marlo is growing and making good gains. I continue to keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

Happy Bunny - Glad you are doing great! Congrats on getting the nursery done. I've just started thinking about what to do. Brooke sounds like she is doing good. Gotta love being called healthy - that is great! You are almost there!

Sonja - I hope you are feeling better. Take care - you are almost there!

Rio - Take it easy. We all know you are out there cheering for us. I hope you hare just having some bad days and start to feel better soon. Also thank you for all the wonderful advise you put out there. I am always searching back for some of your posts.

Addy - Welcome and congrats on the pregnancy and seeing the heartbeat. I wouldnt worry about if you have or don't have morning sickness. You may not. I never did and I am expecting twins - they say it should be worse with multiples. I just have remained thankful for every good day I have. The only symptoms I had in first trimester was fatigue, then some headaches later on.

AFM - I am starting to get excited for my ultrasound next Tuesday - i believe the level 2 scan. I thought the peeing was supposed to ease up in the 2nd trimester but I think the twins are laying on my bladder. I get up only once or twice at night but during the day forget about it - i lose count!! Otherwise still feeling good - so great to have the energy level up! I really need to try and post more often so I don't always have a book. Oh well!

kjm - Your comment about only getting up once or twice a night to pee made me so jealous LOL. :D I am now at the point where I'm literally waking every single hour to pee. I guess it's the universe's way of getting me ready to wake up for a crying baby, but I often wonder how I'm functioning on so little sleep.

cherry - I forgot to say in my last post that I'm glad you got to see your little one dancing around in there! I loved seeing that, especially when they're so tiny.

Hi Ladies! I'm sorry I've been MIA for weeks but I have been crazy busy. I have been checking up on you all though. I will do personals as soon as we're home and I don't have to use my phone.

The boys are still in the NICU, they were 4 weeks yesterday. They both had echo's today b/c of murmurs, both were okay. They will have their repeat head ultrasounds tomorrow as they both had a possible cyst, no bleeding though. They are both growing like mad and are eating really well, breast and bottle(when I'm not there). Will weighed 5 lbs. 13 oz. tonight and Wyatt was 5 lbs. 6 oz. We're hoping to only be there for 2 more weeks, we will see though as they are still having apnea episodes quite frequently.

Best wishes to all of you who are due soon, sleep while you can!!! I am completely exhausted but looking at their gummy smiles makes it all worth it.

Blair - hurray for 3 tiny but growing babies! It's amazing at this point how much they grow from u/s to u/s. At 6 weeks, they are little blips on the screen, but by 11 weeks we had profile pictures! I'm hoping you're feeling better - I'm still waiting for insurance approval for my Zofran, so I'm still quite miserable. Oh well - ice cream for breakfast (I won't be keeping it down anyway!)

Rio - DH and I were talking about it. Boys are more difficult in the preschool/elementary school age. Lots of fighting, rough-housing, mud and bugs. If we have 2 boys - that'll be a trip! But then we realized that girls are a nightmare in the tween/teen years. Imagine TWO tweenage daughters who hate you! Either way, this is going to be a really interesting journey!

Amanda - So great to hear Maribel is doing well! I totally understand the surrealistic feeling that after all this, are we really going to bring home a baby or two? Seems kinda crazy. You'll get to meet her so soon!

Ashley - Texas! Sounds like an adventure. I can't really relate - I dislike my family so much I moved 6,000 miles away and think this is a great distance  I have no advice on Texas (furthest west I've been in the USA is Detroit, MI! I'm a real East Coast gal!) I can't believe you are almost halfway through!

Cherry - yay! Hurray for a healthy baby! I hope your mother in law is doing well.

Kat - I had a cold on top of morning sickness at about 7 weeks. It sucked! There is almost nothing you can take. Just hold on and stick it out. Buy lots of Kleenex!

Barbara - that's so great that you are so healthy! Just a few weeks to go!

Addy - Welcome! I get really really really terrible morning sickness. I'm 15 weeks and still throwing up everything. Even so - it doesn't start before about 6.5-7 weeks. I hope you are one of the lucky ones who doesn't get sick! Btw, even with the morning sickness, it took until I starting growing a belly last week until I really 'felt' pregnant. (Throwing up just makes me miserable - not 'special' and pregnant!)

Kelley - peeing won't ease up - sorry! Twins especially put more pressure on your bladder earlier on. Take it as a good sign - it means you are getting enough to drink!

Gina - SOOOO CUTE! they are adorable! I hope they get to come home really soon.

AFM - I kinda chickened out on the belly pic - sorry! I was going to do it myself in the bathroom mirror, but it's so gross and I couldn't clean it without puking. So when DH got home from work, I asked him to either clean the mirror or take my picture. He thinks belly pics are weird and laughed. I think he thinks I was joking. :| Anyway -- Friday is bathroom cleaning day - so maybe next week Tuesday at 16 weeks. Sorry!

I just left the LONGEST message at the clinic for my doctor. I hope he isn't annoyed! I need (1) a letter from him for my insurance approval of the Zofran (2) a letter for the gym saying that I can take water aerobics classes and (3) my urine culture from last week came back with "Multiple Bacteria" and I need antibiotics and a follow up culture. I see him again in a week, but I need this stuff now. Hope he doesn't mind!

In other news - I'm taking my free trial water-aerobics class this morning. I asked this gym about their pre-natal fitness classes, but they said since I'm high-risk and carrying twins, I can't take it. The only class I can take is "Aquacise" - so I'm giving it a try this morning!

Gina - Your boys are soooo cute! I hope they will get to come home soon!

Leora - Having had both a teenage girl and boy, I have to say you are correct. My boy was a terror in the early years and my girl was a handful in her tween/teen years. I'll never forget one day during her senior year of high school she sat down and apologized to me for being so awful for the 3 years previous. It was nice to get my sweet little Rachel back that day after having her evil clone in the house for so long. :D Now that my kids are older and each have a daughter of their own, we look back on it and laugh. And hopefully we'll pull each other through those tween/teen years with our daughters since the girls will all be close in age.

Hi girls just a short post today I am trying so hard to get everything ready and to finish the nursery but it seems like time is flying and I am just not getting enough done. I had my OB appt this week and everything is good. I was told that now I start going every two weeks...I can't believe we will meet baby Paul in only 13 weeks its so exciting. We have his crib now and the baby shower is in 2 weeks and only now I think it finally became real.

I am starting to feel more uncomfortable now lots of aches and pains and it is getting hard to pick things up off the floor but I am hanging in there.

sorry for such a short post I will do personals later

Hi ladies. I've been MIA for a while. All is going well and I'm happy to say I'm in my 29th week. Feeling decent enough, but definitely have all the normal pregnancy discomforts. I love reading everyone's updates. I can't believe how big this group is. I hardly recognize anyone at all. :(

Anywho, I have two pair of maternity pants that I'm giving away. I bought them the last year when preggers with my twins but they don't fit me this time around. :( They are from Pea in the Pod. Cotton twill, cropped...one black (worn only a few times) and one white (never worn at all). Very nice quality and comfortable b/c they have some stretch. Size Medium. All you have to pay is the shipping (to be determined based on location and preferred delivery). Send me a PM if interested. They both are in clean, in new condition (esp the one's I never got to wear), smoke-free home, no stains, etc.

Karen :)

I am planning on joining this board after my first u/s, which is next thurs. I do have a question.. I've had kind of a "sharp pinching, crampy" pain off/on for 2 days, and if I push down a little in that area its tender just a little. It is very lower right hand side of my abd... Is this normal? I really hate to call my RE, I feel like I have called them until they are probably sick of me, lol. Any thoughts can be helpful. No other symptoms noted. I have had a cold for a week and have been coughing ALOT, it could just be from that I guess

Dallas: What you are feeling could be the start of round ligament pain that is being exacerbated by your coughing. RLP happens because ligaments are being softened to allow them to stretch to accommodate your growing belly. Usually, RLP is felt in the second trimester but you might be having it early because of all that coughing. The location sounds right for RLP.
