I had ER today and have to take Estrofem (estrogens) 2mg x2 and Utrogestan (progesterone) 200mg X3 per day starting from tomorrow. After reading the leaflet of Estrofem, I am not sure whether I should take this medicine and don’t know the consequence if I don’t take the medicine. If ghost or someone who could provide some information. Here is what I read: Do not take Estrofem if:
You are pregnant or suspect you may be pregnant
Tell your doctor if:
You have not had a hysterectomy because another medicine may be more suitable for you
Fibroids of the womb or endometriosis and you have not had a hysterectomy
I had fibroids and serious deep endometriosis and I have not had a hysterectomy. Most importantly, I will enter my PUPA after ET (I should take it until the beta test). The instructions are really confusing. I will really appreciate an answer now since I can only call the doctor tomorrow and I cannot wait.

most clinics have you take progesterone after ER and some clinic now have you take estrogen and progesterone after ER. its pretty standard protocols. but if you want to wait to confirm with your doctor untill tomorrow - 1 day of missed estrogen should not be a big deal. progesterone however is important.
but that's just my opinion.
BTW - are these progesternone suppositories vaginally?
good luck!!!

This is an "off label" use of the drug, which is a common thing. In particular, IVF clinics use estradiol to reduce bleeding in early pregnancy.
Your concerns, however, can only be answered by your physician.
Avoid IVF and surrogacy in Ukraine. Ukrainian centers pay shills to post here under numerous sock accounts pretending to be patients in Ukraine. Centers using such deceptive advertising cannot be trusted and should be avoided.
ditto what Ghost says - I took Estrofem and Utrogestan - and things are fine!
Usually, these drugs are for menopausal women. If you notice the dosage on the box is way less than you would take (I took 400mg x 2/day of the Utrogestan when the regular dose is 100-200mg - the usual Estrofem dosage is one per day - I was taking 3). Using them for IVF is technically "off-label". There are almost no drugs approved for IVF, most things are taken "off-label"
The reason these things say not to take while pregnant is because they are reproductive hormones - so they can mess with regular hormones. But because you did IVF, your body isn't producing the regular hormones - so you have to take these as a supplement.
Good luck!

I asked the doctor and she confirmed that I need it to support the lining and improve the change of good implantation. I had 3 beautiful 8-cell embryos placed back yesterday and hope this new addition will help me get pregnant.
LYD10, I am daily taking 200mgx3 Utrogestan vaginally and 2mg x2 Estrofem orally.
