9weeks and 4days scared....

I had my last u/s at 7 weeks and cant talk anybody into another one till June 13. I am so scared that the baby stopped growing its all I think about. I cry nonstop and just cant seem to pull myself together. I have a fetal monitor but cant find the heartbeat which makes me even more upset. Have any of you found yourself in this situation? I really thought doing ivf they would do a weekly check till I was 12 weeks but nope they released me at 7 weeks to an ob-gyn.They never even told me a heart rate just said yep there is a heartbeat....

Sorry you can't see your baby for a few more weeks. I know i was scared for awhile. i had no symptoms so i was always worried that something was wrong. I think after i saw my baby @ 12 weeks i kind of relaxed a bit. don't stress yourself, most pregnancies that a heartbeat is seen is going to be good. i think after the Hb is seen m/c rates drop to 5%. Your only going to pic the HB up on a doppler if it is a really good doppler like the one in the Dr. office. I couldn't pick my babies hb up till 11 weeks and then after that couldn't find it again till 13 weeks or so. If you really really need to see your bean, you could always call your RE and claim your having massive cramps or that you had bleeding and really want to make sure everything is OK.

My clinic do more scans but I wanted to say that, even so, I could still relate to the fear/terror. My 7 week scan was good on the heartbeat but baby measuring small- I have to wait till next Sunday (which should be 8 weeks) for another scan and this week is really dragging. I am very scared because I have miscarried at this stage previously when we had seen the heartbeat but the baby was measuring small. Am so hoping this has a different outcome but every stomach twinge I am panicing.
I would definitely try to get another scan sooner by any means- including lying Am sure you'll be grand but you could do without the worry.

I believe what you are feeling is totally normal. First, I was convinced that the IVF didn't work. Then, during the entire first trimester, I was convinced that something would happen to our baby. During the second trimester, I waited for bad news on all the testing. Now, late in my third trimester, I've gotten used to being pregnant but have a feeling that I'll be stunned when our baby comes out.

Why? Probably because IVFers have had so much loss associated with fertility and pregnancy. It is almost as if we cannot accept that everything is good and is really going to happen.

I didn't get a heartbeat number until much later about 14 weeks when they could hear it on the doppler. This early it will be too hard to find anything but your HB with the monitor, most girls don't find it at all until maybe 10 weeks. I know this is scary but have faith. Most women who are non ivfers get one US during the whole pregnancy!!! All is well! congratulations

Like Riogrl said most girls only get 1 for the entire pregnancy. My gf who is 10 days ahead of me will not get one till 18 weeks. She hasn't even seen the heartbeat or heard it.

Thanks everybody It is going to be hard but I am going to wait it out.
I dont want to make anything up to get an u/s so I dont have a choice.
