Ryann - I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE your nursery pics!! Beautiful! Next week is my last week of work so I'll finally be able to move my desk, printer, phone, etc out of the nursery and make it a "nursery only" room. I can't wait, though I wish we could paint and stuff. Since we're in an apartment complex we just have to decorate without really doing much to the room. But hey, it's still fun!

So girls I need your help. I seem to have come down with a wicket cold or something and I am so sick. Sore throat post nasal drip and terrible aches and a general misery. So my question is I am generally a healthy person and in a case like this would take emergen C and airborne and tylenol but now that I am pregnant I am afraid to take anything other than some vitamin c and tea with honey. For those of you who have been sick and pregnant what do you do to feel better? what do you take? Please help I am so miserable.

Annashope- I got the Vick's waterless vaporizer. It worked awesome. Plugged it next to my desk at work and then at home I kept it next to me. After one night of it on in my bedroom I felt better. I also boiled water and than put it in a bowl and put my head over it with a towel and breather in the steam. Did that once a day for 10 minutes.

I also hear if you add apple cider vinegar to your tea it works like a charm for sore throats. Wish I had known that trick earlier. Hope you feel better soon.

Anna - sorry you are feeling so awful - wish I could help but no advise. I hope you feel better soon!!

Hope- How exciting to feel the baby. I don't think I have felt mine yet - I wondered once but I have not felt it again and it has been a few days. Hopefully I will soon. They were pretty calm on the ultrasound too, compared to the one at 13 weeks. the boy was sitting on the girls head - maybe why? The fighting has started already.

Leora - congrats on 2 boys!!! I am so glad to hear that everything is looking good. I have not posted on FB yet so dont feel bad. I have some friends that I haven't told yet and I don't want them to find out on FB - I still think I need to tell them in person even though we haven't spoke in about 9 months.

Blair - that sucks that your appt got moved but you have a nice long ultrasound to look forward to. Mine took about 45 minutes so I'm sure yours will be atleast 1 hour if not more.

Klinger - great pictures. You are looking so good. As far as names, we are thinking about Hunter and Hailey but not sure. Nothing else has really jumped out at us yet. Still thinking but those are the winners right now.

Ryann - Love love love the nursery - it is so elegant and relaxing. I still have not made decisions. I love the dark wood cribs, etc... I may go with brown, green, yellow and add some pink and blue to the cribs. Not sure. So many thinks to think about and time is flying by. I am so jealous you are done. Wish I had a long torso - I have no torso - so by babies are sticking right out front - they have no place else to go!!!

well it's a girl!! my hubby and i were a bit speechless at first.. it's weird, like we're 'used to' having a boy (our son), we are delighted to have a girl but it's just funny how it feels like new territory for us.. i think her name will be Navia Grace..

anna- i have a bad cold right now too. it's sucks '. don't think mine is as bad as yours though.. my obgyn told me if it got worse there are some things that are ok to take- esp for the sinus congestion- some nasal spray/steroid?- can't remember.. maybe you could talk to your doctor and get the word..

Leora: Congratulations on two boys!! (probably) And awesome about your cervical length--long and closed is perfect way for it to stay for quite a while yet.

Anna: So sorry you are miserable. I wish I had some good advice for you...humidifiers are good. Otherwise I would just have to suggest calling OB to see what is safe.

Karen: Congratulations on a Girl!! It is so exciting to be finding gender...and love the potential name. When did your SCH resolve?

Kjm: Yea, I agree that probably sand volleyball isn’t the best sport for a pregnant momma-to-be of twins. HA! And team blue and team pink!! Wonderful!! Very exciting to officially “know”. I am “feeling” the same as well...should know in about 2 weeks I hope. Are you feeling the babies move?

Ashley: So amazing to feel the baby move/pop! I hope to be feeling something soon. I would think with two in there there would be twice the “baby” to feel and that I might feel things early, but we will see!

Amanda: I too have trouble drinking lots of water, but I have gotten better about it in the past couple weeks. I know it is important...I will check my pee color now. And, love your belly!! Wow...4-6 weeks until you meet Maribel. How awesome!

Anna - I know gargling warm salt water is great for a sore throat and perfectly safe during pregnancy. When I came down with an awful cold earlier in the year, my OB recommended Tylenol's line of cold syrups. It helped enough for me to make it through my work day. Then TONS of rest next to my humidifier once I got home. Hope you feel better soon!

Karen - CONGRATS on your little girl! I love her name, very beautiful!

kjm - YAY for boy/girl twins!!! I'm with you on babies sticking straight out due to no torso. Funny how I never realized I was all legs until I got pregnant with twins.

Blair - Sorry to hear your appt got pushed back. But YAY for a super thorough u/s! You have to post pics!!!

afm - BHs increasing by the day. Last night I had some that were 10 minutes apart for awhile, then a wouldn't have another for 20 or 30 min. When I laid down to go to sleep, I had some very sharp, stabbing pains low in my belly. Not sure what the heck those were! I just called the OBs office now to find out if they heard back about my 3 hour glucose test results yet and to ask about the contractions with pain... Waiting for the call back from the nurse.

Our car seats FINALLY arrived this morning! There was a horrendous situation involving a mix-up with BabiesRUs online which I had to cancel that order, wait for my refund then purchase them from an eBay store. Such a hassle! But, they're here now and they're PERFECT! Now we just need to get the nursery finished. I put the one crib we have together last week and have to go get the changing table picked up and put together today. We'll be unpacking and organizing everything this Sunday!

We just had our car seat instruction by a State Trooper. I highly recommend this for everyone. We had no idea about the different installation options and how to correctly install the bases. Now, we feel knowledgeable and secure in our ability to install the seat.

Hi ladies!

We got home from our much needed vacation on Wednesday and I was back at work already yesterday. We had a fabulous time though. There was so much waiting for me I don't know if I'll ever get caught up! I'm also currently at work now but wanted to sneak a few minutes to check up on everyone. I don't think I can catch up on the personals so I will just have to start going forward.

I started to feel my baby girl move at 18w1d. Just flutters at first... but now at 20 weeks I feel her much stronger and more often. Some days she's very active and others are on the quiet side. I have an OB appt on Wednesday next week. I should also have a scan I think. Other than that... my belly has finally popped a bit! I now look pregnant enough for people who know me but didn't know I was pregnant to notice. I can also only wear a few pairs of non-maternity pants... just the low-rise ones. I think I've gained a total of 2-3 lbs overall. My weight fluctuates by the hour for some reason...lol. I missed everyone and look forward to getting caught up.

Hi everyone I really appreciate all of the warm wishes and suggestions. Keeping my face over a pot of boiling water really helped as did chamomile tea with honey. I am a bit better now and my OB wants me to continue just resting and drinking fluids. We had our final cervix length check today and the cervix has shortened some to 2.7cm now. Baby Paul is also fully dropped head down and all. I am still praying to make at least 37 weeks so I guess I will need to take it extra easy. I will have other u/s but for some reason my RE does not do cervix checks past 28 weeks. Anyways today baby Paul weight 2lb and 6 oz so I was told that was really good....now I am home resting and trying to keep that big head of his off of my cervix as much as possible.

Margi I am so sorry you have had to be on bedrest/modified bedrest for so long but it will deff be worth it. I was on bedrest from 12 to roughly 21 weeks...I can understand how frustrating it gets so if you feel down just PM me I am always here to listen.....I can't wait to hear the genders of your little ones do you have any guesses?

Ryan I am so jealous of your awesome nursery....Mine is no where near done and I don't think we will finish it before the baby shower next weekend but I so wish it was done already...lol We have the crib and bedding and bassinet and changing table just have to paint and put it all together but DH works so much lately because he wants to stay home with me once the baby is born for a few weeks so all room prep is on the back burner and now that I have to take it easy everything really slowed...lol So how are you feeling? are you getting the aches and pains? I can't believe you are measuring for 39 weeks!!! I actually felt my first kick in the ribs this week it was so weird how high the baby reaches

Hi ladies-just a quick post from my phone. Saw the OB today. Dylan weighs 2lbs 8oz and Bella weighs 2lbs 7oz. They are both head down for now. Dylan is WAAAAAY low....like so low they could barely see my cervix on the US, but could still tell it was closed. The way they are laying they are staring eachother right in the face...I thought that was pretty cute! And I was right...uterus is measuring 37 weeks!!!! That's 10 freaking weeks ahead! Ouch! What will I measure at 36 weeks?! Don't want to think about it...

hopinginnc!!!! how awesome to hear from you! good luck with your FET in july... how many frosties do you have again?? i've so got my fingers crossed for you... i seriously can't believe i'm pregnant, really pregnant.. it's so amazing.. i went for an ultrasound the other day and was actually quite worried i was going to hear something awful like "i'm so sorry there's no heartbeat", or that something was really wrong.. but the baby is measuring perfect, hb 156, was very active, tons of amniotic fluid, and my cervix looks great (they're checking for PTL signs)... i'm so blessed.. - i pray you will join this side again and be blessed with a healthy pregnancy.. much love and hugs to you karen.
