Cinnymon1 - Congrats on the sooner dates! That's exciting!! :D

Well I saw my RE yest and I was a little dissapointed. He told me I only have 4 follicles measuring 9&10 and the other two 5&6. :( I had 14 last ER (But now I have only 1 ovary). :( :( :( He told me he should have upped the dosage on my Menopur. Why didn't he think about that before????? He asked if I wanted to stop this treatment and try again.
I have decided to move forward with it and if it doesn't work out this time, well, we'll try again! With another doctor!!!! It does only take one egg and one sperm to make a baby! :) So back to see him Saturday to see how the eggs are growing and we'll go from there. I am very fortunate that our insurance is covering 3 rounds of ivf for us. Our first ivf we paid for everything oop. I don't think we would be able to have them back to back.

Blueeyed...quite possibly we will! That is so funny. Our meds were around $4k. I'm not sure why but I think it has something to do with insurance. They told me on the phone that they have higher prices if you aren't a "cash" customer and are using insurance. Which sucks. We only have a $2500 lifetime max on our infertility med benefit. My insurance is the only one with fertility benefits. Which is weird because Hubby's insurance is awesome in every other way. No copays, full coverage etc. Thankfully a lot of the tests and such we've done previously have rolled into regular insurance and not under a fertility benefit.

Oh man. My mom just called me on my desk line at work. She never calls me there and I knew it was bad news when I answered the phone. She was crying and told me they had to put Bandit (our dog) down this morning. For the last week he's been going downhill fast. He's had health problems since they got him. When they got him from the breeder he had an undecended testicle and basically no one wanted him because they couldn't breed him. He's been on so many medications and they've spent thousands of dollars on him. Each time he kept bouncing back. He would've been 14 in October. He was ready to go. He wasn't eating and wasn't taking his pills anymore and he was moaning in pain. At least now he's not in pain anymore. I just went down to my car and had a good cry. I think all the tears are out of my system now and I can get back to work. I just want to rush home and hug my dog & cat.

Hi ladies! My DD just turned 2 in April and now we are ready for baby number 2. We are currently in diagnostic phase at CCRM in Colorado. Last time I had full insurance and this time just diagnostics, so we are trying to decide between IUI with donor sperm and IVF.

It's good to be back here to chat with people who understand this whole experience. I'll keep you posted.

Sorry to hear that. Our family dog died of cancer last year. It is still unbelievable.

As I read everyone's protocols I get so confused. I notice that not everyone takes Lupron. Is there something that makes a difference. Happy to hear that all is going well for you. You are one your way. Sticky vibes to u :)

This is especially for my friend out there, Holli! lol I thought some of you too might get a kick out of NKOTB..SummerTIME!
Yikes, I'm having a relapse of my high school days! Seriously I had a crazy dream that we all got back together for a reunion last night and I was dressed in all black, with everyone I worked with AND we all went to a career job fair (ok the other day my coworker was asking me what my long term goals were with the company?) But in my dream...we all went out to dinner at a nice restaurant and I forgot to pay for my ticket, I ran back to the restaurant at 11:30pm to take care of the bill...Crazy intense dream, maybe it means I don't need anything else on my plate right now. I told my coworker, my goal right now is to start a family, hence why I'm only working part-time to be able to make all doctor appointments and may be driving a long commute this fall. Memorial Day Weekend, kind of missing the bank hours but happier with my new job! :D Anyway, tonight I was thinking of you all, and thought I would send out some personals before work in the morning...

This week has been the week of preparation for alot of us! I'm so enthused we are kicking off our summer with a big splash and really excited that we are moving forward making our ultimate dream happen! I know it has been quite the journey but we bring with us that powerful envision, and PMA is the best med, besides we are strong women to make it through all the shots and crazy madness (our dh can attest for that! )

RMB, Wow can you tell us how you got insurance coverage, I have heard several others having ins coverage but never asked. Also I am interested in finding out a litte about the diet the acupuncturist has you on, I'm always researching healthy things to eat! Today I went grocery shopping to get plenty of veggies, but also stopped by and checked out some raspberry tea. lol I ended up with peach tea in the buggy instead, but it's caffeine free so know it's a little better than what I had been drinking. Looking forward to hearing how your next doctor appointment goes on Saturday! It's amazing how much can change in a couple of days with the follicles..and they will keep growing! On average the grow 1cm a day. I love your PMA and you are so right, it only takes one egg and one sperm to make something happen! :D

Wndrgrl, I am so sorry for the loss of Bandit, I know a pet it's like losing a love one. We've very attached to ours and bathed them out in the truck this afternoon. Nothing like clean dogs, if only we could get their doggy breath a little better. lol

Amanda, Glad AF came, first baseline 6/13 will be here before you know it! I know what you mean about the tornadoes. I have been keeping up with it down here, my SIL had a tee-shirt fundraiser in Birmingham and they raised over $2,000 for all the victims. So many lost their homes but so many lost their lives in Tuscaloosa, AL. My heart goes out to all their family(s). Today I heard about another tornado hitting Monroe County in Mobile, AL on Wednesday evening. It's heartbreaking, we've just never heard of so much devasiation in one season from tornadoes. My family still lives in Alabama, but I'm really trying to get everyone to relocate down here, and they might seriously, at least with hurricanes people would have around 3 days to evaluate. Nothing is ever better then the safety of our loved ones.

jcbaby, sounds like you are moving along very well with the meds and cannot wait to hear how Tuesday goes with your SnS, my baseline will also be on Tuesday too. :D

Blueeyedreamer, Too funny about the lupron, they should add "limping" to possible "next day" side effects!

AFM: meds should be coming tomorrow! Doctor wanted me to go ahead and order more Follistim 600 iu, so the delivery date was changed to Friday! Starting Femara 5/27, and from here on out I will be the crazy woman!

RIP Bandit.

Fertility insurance is tricky. My husband works for Microsoft and they have a generous fertility benefit. It is changing next year though. They have great insurance, but the whole plan is changing and we will have more out of pocket. I have never had fertility benefits with any other plan.

I think it's robbery that they charge more for drugs when you use insurance than if you use cash. Maybe our healthcare system wouldn't be so defunct if the cost of drugs was protected.

I received my box of meds today and must say I was quite overwhelmed! OMG, there is so much! I'm not afraid of injections because I'm so used to them because of the MS. I've given myself plenty of shots, sub q and IM. But there are so many! I'm so jealous that so many people in this world can just have sex and have a baby. We have to have a medical miracle in order for it to happen.

I hope we all get our dream babies!

Hi Ladiies... So sorry I been MIA, been super busy with work and family Bdays...

Blueeyedreamer- The Lupron headaches were the worse, I use to put a cold clothe on my head so it would feel better.. The 2nd time I did IVF I didnt get any headahces with the Lupron, but I cant forget them since they were horrible... Sorry that you are having them.. ;(

Sunshine- Grow Follies Grow... :) I thought when you do IUI you have to Ovulate so why would they not wait till ovualtion just cause you have a few extra follies I would think that would up your chances... I would ask them to use the extra ones, maybe you will have Twins but that would be awesome ;) I cant wait for the NKOTB Concert :)

RMB- Grow folliesGrow, your right it only takes one... Ill be saying lots of prayers :)

Wondergirl- so sorry about bandit... :( (hugs)

AFM- Yeah I got my Donor , DS arrives Thursday :) Now I am waiting on AF, then ovulate then I go for my first IUI (with no meds) Hope it works for me :) My Donor is exactly what I was looking for so I hope it all works out...:)

Thanks everyone! Last night I went home and hugged my dog & cat really tight and had a good cry.

Blueeyed...I get my delivery today and I'm a little nervous to see all the meds. Especially the needles. Before I know it June 3 will be here and I will get my calendar of when to do things.

Is anyone doing anything fun for the long weekend? DH has to work tomorrow and picked up 10 hours OT on Sunday so I won't see him until about 6 or so Sunday evening. I have Monday off for the holiday. Thinking of using some groupons we got and going out to eat and see Hangover 2.

Kynlee, I am so excited that you guys found your donor, cannot wait for your BFP! Yeah I will have to ask my RE about how this IUI is going to happen with many follicles. They are trying to control it to 3-4 follies but with doubling the meds our outcome could be more than that. But the question is with that many follies how can this naturally work with ovulation, would it be too painful? Certainly would like to increase any chance for twins "maybe" triplets but happy when we finally get some good news!

Wndrgrl, yay my meds came today too, and the UPS guy would not come to my front door b/c he's terrified of dogs! Really what is he doing in this line of work if he cannot deliver packages? So anyway here is my funny story...My neighbor next door gets the delivery, and texts me at work to ask if I need her to open the box and refrig anything. I text her back and ask is my husband not home, well minutes later after I explained to her what was all in the box, I call dh again to find out he was in the shower and didn't know the delivery even came. My neighbor, Sara is someone I am close to, so I didn't mind sharing with her 101 infertility, but dh scooted quickly out the door to her house once I finally got ahold of him, lol. Sara told him the box felt lukewarm, and I was a little concerned when I heard dh put them in the freezer for 30 minutes. omg, I'm going to have a stroke if this doesn't all work!

Anyway my weekend consists of mostly work, but we are having a potluck and I love the idea of nibbling all day. I'm making a yummy chicken salad dip tonight! :D I know we will be very busy out on Pier Park especially with all the vacationers. Today one lady ran out the door when her husband called to tell her to bring the cooler filled with beer, lol I almost left the store with her! My feet hurt something bad tonight and had dh pop a blood blister, need to go shoe shopping and find something cute AND comfy, does they exist? Anyway off to the kitchen to whip up the dip and then watch some favorite TV shows...
