Margi - I'm so sorry you are still stuck on bed rest --- just keep the final goal in mind! I have a sinking feeling that I'll end up on bed rest in a few weeks - so I'm trying to take advantage of being up and about for as long as possible. Of course, I get exhausted just running a simple errand (especially since the heat is getting horrendous!). Big hugs and keep baking those babies! Any sex guesses yet?
Kat - I'm glad the MFM appt went well --- the one advantage of being high risk is lots and lots of u/s! People sometimes say they are jealous of how many u/s I get (between the early ones from IVF and the ones now to check my cervix). Of course, I'd rather have a spontaneous, uncomplicated pregnancy and avoid the extra u/s -- but if I have to be high risk, I might as well enjoy the benefits!
Nwquiz - I totally understand the feeling of disbelief that we will actually have our babies. Since we found out it's 2 boys, MIL has been pushing me to go shopping -- but I just can't yet... Hopefully we'll both get more confident as our bellies get bigger and bigger!
Kelley -
a boy and
a girl! Hurray! One of each

So glad the anatomy scan went well!
Ashley - the on-call doctor (who was mad that I came in for IV fluids instead of drinking) said that I should drink between 3.5-4 liters a day. My OB said that I should drink as much as possible. I've been drinking a little more than 2 litres on the average day. I'm not sure how much *you* should be drinking -- I have 2 other factors (1) twins and (2) extreme heat here (it's already over 90 degrees F every day). Amazing how much a pregnant lady can sweat!
Karen (Vancouver) -
baby Girl! You had a long wait to find out! I'm so glad things look good from a PTL labor standpoint. It's a relief to be past 'viability' at 24 weeks, but it would be best for her to stay in there as long as possible.
Qita - thanks for the congrats! How is your pregnancy going? I know the early u/s were not very good, but are things looking good now?
Blair - I'm also having a TON of scheduling issues because it's multiples! Becuase the appt has to be doubled, I don't get much choice. I have to wait until 23w2d for my anatomy scan - since that's the earliest they could fit me in. I can't imagine the scheduling issues with THREE!
Amanda - no names yet, but we are working on it! Obsessing about baby names is much more fun than worrying about 'when/if' something goes wrong... so I'm trying to focus on that! You look great!
Ryann - they say that with twins, your fundal height measures about 1.5 as big as a singleton. So at 16 weeks, I'm measuring about 23 weeks -- yes, twin moms get HUGE. By 38 weeks, people measure 50 or more weeks!

Nursery looks great!
Anna - feel better! A cold sucks in general, but especially when you can't just take Nyquil and ignore the world. Happy 3rd trimester!
Stephanie - boys will be so much fun

Hurray for us! Congrats on finally getting the right carseats delivered!
Lou - welcome back! Amazing how accurate your predictor is

I can't believe you are more than 1/2 there! More than 20 weeks, congrats! Isn't feeling them move awesome and totally surreal?
Mellow - I'm soooooo happy to hear that baby Marlo is doing well. Grow baby grow!
Sonya - how are you doing? Also getting quite close the end, no?
Gina - I'm so glad to hear the boys are doing well in the NICU. I hope they get to come home soon!
AFM - not much exciting. Still super happy and relieved after the great scan last Thursday.
I'm having a bit of scheduling issue with my OB. He ordered another u/s for cervical check at 18 weeks and an anatomy scan to be doing between 20-22 weeks. He told me to come back at 20+ weeks, when I've done the anatomy scan, if nothing is wrong at the 18 week scan. BUUUTTT... do to annoying scheduling and the fact that I need 2 back-to-back appts for the anatomy scan, mine isn't until JULY 7TH! Which is 23w2d. So now, I have to call the OB and ask when to come back. I don't feel comfortable going from now until then without seeing him (or having any u/s between 18-23 weeks). I'm sure he'll be fine with me coming in at 20 weeks, but I have to call and ask.
Otherwise, all is good! It's starting to get HOT here, so I'm trying to drink as much as possible.
