9 days post transfer is still pretty early for a home pregnancy test. Also the spotting you have may be implantation bleeding. Don't give up hope yet. When is your beta?

Don't let the spotting get you down. Many women spot during early pregnancy...I read 1 in 4 women will have some bleeding in the first trimester. Also, plenty of women get a negative HPT and then have a positive beta.

I know that it's easier said than done, but don't be discouraged if this isn't a positive for you. Even with a perfect embie it sometimes takes more than 1 round of IVF.

i am very sorry to hear that- big hugs. it is rare for ivf to work 1st time but that's no consolation for you at the moment. allow yourself to be deeply sad for a wee while and then pick yourself up to go again. loads of luck for round 2 and take care. x

I'm sorry to hear that your cycle was not successful. Don't give up, many RE's look at the first cycle almost like a trial run. They tend to understand your body better after making it through that first cycle. Of course everyone would like to be one of the lucky ones that have success right away, but I guess we can't all be that lucky. We went through six cycles before having our DS and he was worth every bit of it. Keep trying. HUGGS
After 7 attempts (2 negatives/3 miscarriages), we have TWO miracle boys!! If you would like to hear our story, please visit http://www.ivfsuccessstories.info. Never give up, it can happen for you!!
