Hiya JCB's

Another day another year older :? Yikes!

Debra - So pleased your EC went well this morning. I think waiting for the fertilisation resuts are so stressful don't you? I am sure you will get lots of lovely top grade embies, keeping my fingers crossed for you and hope your ET goes just as smoothly.

Bro - Good to hear from you. August/September will be here before you know it and you can ride the bumpy rollercoaster again. Just try to get yourself back on track and in good shape. Will kep an eye out for you.

Kt and Kel - How's it all going?? The 2ww will come to an end soon and it will be BFP's! We must start the JCB's off with a couple of positives OK?

DeeDee - Only a few days to go before Friday and your EC. How are you feeling?? Keep up the PMA and fluids.

Loopy - Are your follies growing nicely??

Shellie, Tracey, Traci - Thanks for all your support.

Staci - How are you?

I am still bleeding quite a bit and it's now 9 days! I spoke to my fertility nurse who said if it hasn't tailed off by Thursday to call her and they will try to scan me. It's sods law that this has happened but my reflexologist did say that I could be having a heavier AF than normal as it can be a result of reflexology. I just hope my TMT doesn't get cancelled because of it which could happen. Oh well things happen for a reason so I will have to accept what will be will be.

I got the bill through the post yesterday along with my birthday cards which was nice :? and the price has gone up £300 since August last year  Not happy about that at all!!

Take care you lot

Love Dagny xkx

Good day JCB!
I hope everyone is doing fine ! I am keeping my fingers crossed for all of us!
Debra - I am sure that the embies will do there job, remember you only need one !
Bronagh - Like Dagny said Aug/Sept is just around the corner .. before you know it .... I am also doing a natural cycle.

Kel - Hang in there, I am sure that it doesn't make much a diffeence if you got up right away, or else the would of made sure you don't get up ! :0)

This is my first tmt and I went to the clinic yesterday CD3 to do a vaginal ultrasound to see how many follicles this month and in one ovary there was 21 and in the other there was 25 . Just about the same that I had last month. I return on Friday for one more ultrasound and expected EC is Monday June 28. Did I mention that we are tranfering 4-5  embryos ?

Hi Girls!

Well done Debra!! That's great news! Hoping you get lots of embies, keeping my fingers crossed for you! Glad it all went smoothly too, get lots of rest now...
Dagny - Hope AF starts behaving  ! Is this not normal though for AF to be bad from day 1 down regging? Hope you are ok!
Traci - Your Mexico holiday sounds fantastic!!! 8) Hope you have a great time!

Well just a quick post really! Hope all of you are getting on well? On day 5 now, and I don't want to speak too soon but going ok (apart from your warning Traci about boob bashing!!!! ) I don't know if the football last night was a particuarly 'calming' thing though on the 2ww!! Test date is 1st July, so a week and dayish!! eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeekkkkk!!!!

Good luck everyone!

Debra,

Glad your EC went well! I remember it was rather stressful waiting to see how many fertilized. My clinic doesn't even tell people the following morning. They make them wait until the morning of the transfer to let them know where things stand!

Kel,

Sounds like you are doing well. Are you starting to get stir crazy from relaxing? I really had a hard time taking it easy like I was supposed to. It's so odd how some clinics stress only very light activity while others say one can just back to their regular routine after a few days.

Dagny,

I hope things get straightened out for you so you don't have to abandon this cycle and start over. Does AF usually last on the longer side for you? If it usually lasts a week or so then maybe an extra 2 days isn't that unusual?

Best wishes to all the other JCB's!

I'm still waiting for AF to show up. I'm on day 39 now. I had some cramps a few days ago so I thought for sure it would be here by now but no sign of it. I'm glad I decided to just move ahead right away instead of waiting a few months like I had initially planned to. I didn't realize it would take so long to actually get started anyway.

Hi JCBs
All over for me this time. 2ww ended on Sunday with a BFN.
Just added up the cost of this cycle, £8500 so I will have to consider my options now.
Might just nip down to Sainsburys and steal one!!
Good luck to you all

OMG Kt

I am so sorry. What a pile of cr@p!!!!

It's so much money with nothing to show for it. What do your options include?

Don't steal one at Sainsbury's go to Harrods - Better clientele!

I am so sorry though Kt, I was hoping we would have a BFP to start us off.

The rules for a BFP is WINE, CHOCOLATE, HUGS WITH DH AND PAMPERING YOURSELF!!!

Take care

Oh Kt, I'm sorry. Nothing any of us can say will make you feel better, but most of us have been there too and it's bloody awful. Just foul.

Don't lose touch with the board tho', come back when you're ready and get the support and friendship you'll need to see your next tmt through.

Dagny's half-right, sod Harrods though......I'd say go for Harvey Nick's 5th floor and splurge :(

Hugs,
Debra.

Just a quick thanks to Debra and Dagny for posting a reply.

I have just started down regulating (Mon) and everytime i use the nasal spray i sneeze, is this normal, i try and keep my nose and mouth closed to keep the stuff in. No side effects as of yet but i guess it's not in my system yet.

Dagny you mentioned not doing aerobics while in treatment does this include not doing aerobics during down regulating as well? I thought i would be okay upto when i go in for egg collection (hopefully).

Any other advice from anyone will be most welcome as complete newby at this.

KT

I am so sorry and what a complete bummer - sorry Marcus but there are worse words I want to use! Try and spend some quality time with DH and then when you are ready come back again. The BFN's are a nightmare and I wish there was something I can do...............

Tracie - you will be fine on aerobics during down regging and don't worry about the sneezing - I used to at first and take extra sniffs but not necessary -they allow for it and you get everythign you need unless you sneeze all the time! As for aerobics until EC - I doubt it as your ovaries become swollen with the extra follies from stimming and you need plenty of fluids as it is without losing more during exercise. I would not risk it - doubt you will feel like it to be honest and not worth twisting ovaries or getting OHSS for.
Good luck

Hello JCBs - we're all really on our way now aren't we?

Hi Tracie - glad you found us. I didn't sneeze much after sniffing. If it's everytime, maybe call the clinic, there are other ways of down-regging.

Traci - Mexico = hmmmmm. Just had 2 friends come back, they really liked it, they were attending a wedding.

Tracey - Hope those two are behaving themselves. Sorry to hear they keep you up at night. No fun.....

Dagny - how's AF? finished? nearly? An extra 300 quid isn't nice at all.

Teresa - another month with 46 follies? I've never heard of someone having so many. How on earth do they find them? I'd only a few on each side and that still takes lots of poking around to see any behind the others etc. Good luck with the scan on Friday.

Kel - just wanted to say I have an extremely positive feeling about your tmt. Always have.

Kel/Staci - you both mentioned not knowing about how the embies were doing until you turn up for ET. I asked my clinic about this today and they just said they like to give people an idea esp. if it's not looking so good rather than them turn up and be hit with bad news. My place also inject progesteron the day inbetween if ET looks like going ahead.

Staci - So this is day 40 - any signs of AF? Someone last month was waiting and waiting and Dagny-The-Wise suggested sex and sure enough -bingo!

Loopy - good luck with the scan tomorrow. I'll be thinking of you - this time you and I can be stirrup buddies!

DeeDee - Good luck with EC on Friday. You must be very excited. How come your clinic work Sundays? is that normal or just if the EC/ET dates fall that way?

Shellie - let us know how you're doing. How are you feeling?

FINALLY...me! Great news today. 5 of our 6 have fertilised and the 6th is still possible. ET will definitely be tomorrow. We also had a 2nd great piece of news.....there is a drug reimbursement programme but we thought we fell outside it due to our FETs (we thought it was any 3 tmts) but it's not...it's any 3 full tmts, this is only our 2nd so this means all the drugs from this round will be reimbursed. Drugs here cost as much as the tmt so this is fabulous news.

Feeling very happy indeed.
hugs to everyone,
Debra.

Debra

Thats fantastic news, will keep fingers crossed for you. Make sure you look after those little embies. How many do you get, where i am going we only get 2 put back, and the drug refund - how good a day are you having at the moment.

Have rang clinic and they said not to worry about sneezing if its just the once, it should where off once i get used to it.

Hugs to everyone.

Hi Buddies!

Kt - Am so sorry about your -tive.. :( It's not fair.. I really hope you are doing ok, we are all thinking of you, and as the girls have said I know it doesn't make up for anything but do nice things for you..

Welcome Tracie! Wishing you lots of luck! Hope the sniffing is going ok and glad your clinic have reassured you. With regards to exercise, it seems all clinics have different attitudes to this. I am a real exercise person, but I was told to totally stop from down reg, BUT it seems some people do carry on including those lovely BFP'er girls! So it seems to be swings and roundabouts I'm afraid! I did stop, but as this is my first go I didn't want to regret going against advice, but like I say it all differs so much and has to be up to you and what you're comfortable with..

Debra - WOW!! 5 embies (6 now I reckon!) That is soo fantastic!!! Well done!!! Loads of luck for your ET tomorrow buddy! Thank you so much for those positive vibes too!

Loopy - Good luck for your scan tomorrow! Come on those follies!(in England chant stylee) And so not long until EC now - how exciting!!!!!!

Dagny - Hope  has started behaving?? Hope you are ok and get onto those stimms!! Good luck buddy..!

Staci - Hope AF shows up soon  and you can get going with your FET. Any more shopping frenzies??!!!

DeeDee - Thinking of you for Friday - How are you feeling?

Hello all you other lovelies too!!

Well, I am not going tooooo mad!?? Been resting loads, so today was thinking of maybe going out (not me driving). What do you reckon? I know you are not supposed to go on long journeys, but on day 6 so do you think it will be ok to pop out and go for a walk down the beach? Just got a thick head and need some air!! But I would not want to chance a thing.. Feel ok, slight twinges going on, slightly sore boobs but nothing major, but is it all a bit early anyway really isn't it?? AND I THOUGHT I WAN'T GOING MAD!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry for the huge thread!
Love Kel x
