Hello you beautiful ladies and babies... :)

I read every night... keep up on all the posts, but just can't keep up with personals. Always know that I am cheering, worrying and praying for everyone. I am still working full time, still in the midst of major major house renovations and still happily, heavily pregnant. Just not a lot of extra time to write out personal messages to each of you!

So.... a quick update for those have asked.... I am doing wonderfully. There are no issues whatsoever with the pregnancy. Baby boy is extremely active and healthy and so am I. LOL I have normal aches and pains in the vaginal area, just pressure from his little head pressing on things. We are trying to see if we can do a scheduled induction so that my husband can be here... he's been called out to work beginning in mid-June, over 7 hours away. My doctor feels the baby is very healthy and since we know the due date he is willing to induce if he could just find a reason at 40 weeks! Thing is, there are no issues. We are doing a growth scan in a week to see if baby is exceptionally large and that might be enough to justify helping things along. I had over 40 stitches with my first who was just over 8 lbs.

I am actually sleeping and feeling better than I was earlier in the pregnancy. I'm sleeping all night, less emotional, and still no swelling of anything. I do have an 'irritable uterus' so have to keep the stress and physical activity down, but otherwise I am still enjoying work.

The house is nearly finished. Hardwood and tiling are going on this week, and painting.... after light fixtures and vanities go in...well... we're ready to move back upstairs... hopefully BEFORE the baby is born.

All our nursery is in boxes... I know baby won't need it for a while anyhow, but it kinda hard to resist not digging it out and at least looking at it! LOL I do have his bag packed and some of mine just in case he decides to come a lil' early. Now we're just waiting and enjoying these final few weeks.

Bliss- AWESOME beta. Yay.

Sonya- Very glad all is going well. You sound very, very busy!

Leora- You are in my thoughts & prayers.

Lou- You look FABULOUS. Rocking the pregnant look :D

Blair- Good luck for the scan today. Let us know how you go.

Kat- WONDERFUL news about your scan. You must be so excited! Has got me slightly worried though as I haven't seen arms. legs or brain yet- eek. Please also join us over on Due Winter 2012 (I am greedy and using both boards :)) so you have company when all these ladies move over to 'Parents after treatment'.

Stephanie- The nursery is looking super cute.

Apologies to those I have missed, I am thinking of everyone I just can't keep up!

AFM- All OK. My tummy is less sore since I started injecting the Innohep in my thigh so that's good. Still nervous as hell. Next scan on Saturday. Then on Sunday my husband moves back to the UK leaving me 'home alone' in Dubai for 5 weeks :( as for various reasons I am not moving back till mid-July. Not ideal but at least I will be 9 weeks by then (please God) and he has managed to swing a trip back out here halfway through.

Riogrl- I'm due January 8th but do to previous classic C-sections I will have to have my baby taken via c-section the week of Decemember 11th. Probably closer to the end. I think they schedule it officially in the last trimester. But she already told me that it would be that week unless its before for some other reason.

Hi ladies! I'll have to come back to personals later but just wanted to let you know I'm going on day 2 in the labor & delivery unit. Yesterday around 1:30pm I started having contractions. Not painful, but uncomfortable and coming every 5-8 minutes. After drinking lots of water and laying on my left side and having the contractions continue, we called my doc at 4pm and he advised us to head to the hospital to get checked.

In the hospital the contractions have been 2-3 minutes apart pretty much since I've been here. They pumped me full of liquids (still contracted), started me on Procardia every 6 hours (still contracted) and kept me over night (still contracted staying at 2-3 minutes apart.) Last night at 11:30pm they gave me a steroid shot to help mature the baby's lungs in case we need to deliver her early. And they let me know at lunchtime that they're going to keep me here another 24 hours so they can continue to keep an eye on things and give me my 2nd steroid shot tonight.

The contractions don't get better or worse, they just stay steady. My cervix can't dilate because of the TAC and when my doc felt it last night to make sure it hadn't pulled through the TAC he laughed and said "why did I bother checking that? You don't have any cervix" since I really have no external opening to feel. So I guess we'll see what tomorrow brings. Worst case, doc said we'll deliver her and she should do very well since she'll be 34 weeks tomorrow. But hopefully these contractions will subside and I'll get to go home tomorrow. That's it for me for now and I hope you all are doing well.

Amanda, I'm hoping for the best for you and Maribel! Rest well. Hopefully the contractions subside soon, but if not, good luck with the delivery! I'm sure Maribel will be just fine and it looks like they're keeping a close eye on you. Keeping you in my thoughts.

Qita- I wouldn't worry about not seeing those things. Our tech is awesome and I've had her for all my scans through out the ivf and she pointed out all those things for us. It would be hard to figure those things out without someone pointing them out to you and once she did you could see what she was seeing. She showed us the umbilical cord and everything she could so we understood what she was looking for.

Girls sorry for not writing more often I am a terrible online buddy and I am so sorry. I promise I read every day and keep all of you in my thoughts and prayers.

Leora I am praying for you dear please try to stay positive we are all praying for you.

Sonya I am so glad to hear from you and so happy to hear that everything is ok...You are almost there girl how exciting!!!!

Klinger you too are in my prayers...we TAC sisters have to pray for each other...As of yesterday my doc placed me back on modified bedrest and we will undergo a consult with the perinatal because he is concerned that we don't have a plan in case I go into early labor so we will see. 34 weeks is really good so don't worry I am sure your little anger will do great.

Bliss awesome beta!!!

Blair can't wait to hear how your scan went today and I think its time for a belly pic...lol

Lou you look amazing and I am so glad you had a great vacation...I wish I could have gone somewhere but I think with all of the precautions we had to take this pregnancy it just was not possible....DH promised me a week-long cruise in the spring to make up for not going anywhere for all 9 months

Karen (vancouver) Delaney is a beautiful name

Karen(scorpio) how are you? how is your cervical length these days I am still at 2.5 cm but because of that I am now laying down? how are you feeling?

Stephany the nursery looks great and you are so so close now how are you feeling?

Gina so happy to hear that the boys are doing well

Margi how are you doing I promise you are always in my prayers...have you felt any movement yet since your last post?

Mellow I check on little Marlo all the time on your blog and I am so glad she is doing well

Rio how are you? I just wanted to add that my c-section is scheduled for August 18th so you are welcome to adjust the schedule...God willing I make it that far

Ryan I can't believe you are measuring so far ahead now how are you feeling? I am so sore and bedrest is getting old...I had to stop working at 12 weeks because of the placenta previa and by 21 weeks I was finally allowed to be up and around and normal and now at 28 week back to bedrest so it gets a bit old....wish I could go to the beach or walk my dogs but I know its for a good reason and we are so close now. I keep wondering how close to our due dates we will actually get what does your doc say? mine are just scaring me with possible PTL so I am resting as much as possible but its hard because the nursery is not done

AFM Well just laying here and hoping that my cervix lasts another 9 weeks at least...I want to make 37 weeks so bad but with the TAC its touch and go....My baby shower is this weekend so I am excited about that but I feel so guilty that my poor 10 year old is looking at such a boring summer because I am on bedrest. I am trying to make arrangements for him to have some fun but usually we are very active people...beach, hiking, camping, roller coaster parks, water parks and now that his school is ending for summer he wants to know what we are gonna do and I just don't know what to say. DH works all summer but since I am a teacher I am off with my son so we do stuff together and now I just don't know...from the other hand I have to give baby Paul everything I have and this is so hard...to make matters worse my sons bday is July 5th and usually we go to our family cottage on the lake 9 hours away which is my sons favorite place in the world and now we are not going...I am sure those of you with other kids understand my frustration....ugh thanks for letting me vent..... My appt with the high risk doc and next u/s is on Tuesday so I am hoping there are no more changes in the cervix and we have a peaceful 9 weeks ahead

Hi Ladies! Sorry for being MIA for so long. I haven't internet for about 2 wks. I have been as busy as I am aloud to be. I have been doing great the past few weeks. We had company over the weekend. My SIL, Dh and 3 kids. They had fun, I didn't participate in the sight seeing and active stuff. Prior to them coming, I was busy preparing for them to come. I have also been trying to prepare for my boys. I've ordered stuff online and got the nursery together. I went and bought the things that are an absolute must for the first month. I really haven't bought everything, because i'm hoping to get some gifts.

I have still been having BH daily. Some days are better than others. I feel like i've learned to manage them and what not to do. I try to do a little at a time with rest in between and it seems to be ok. I have had my cervix checked almost weekly and its fine. My last cervix check was 3.5 and my last fetal fibronectin test was negAtive and I think that I will have another tomorrow. I had my appt with the m f m last week and the boys are doing great! One weighs 3.5 and the other is 3.7. I can't believe how big they are. I've gained 23lbs so far and feel huge. I measured 38wks last wk. I finally feel a bit more relaxed mentally. I still have all of the discomforts of pregnancy, but am ok with it as long as my babies are ok. My OB thinks that i'm doing so well that I could make it to my c-section date on july 27.

Klinger..... I couldn't believe it when I read your post. It seemed to come out of nowhere. I'm sure its how you felt too. Sounds like your being well cared for. I hope that they can get your contractions under control and you can keep herin a bit
longer. Praying for you and your little one. Take care and get lots of rest.

ryann.....love the nursery pics! Sounds like your babies are growing beautifully. :D

lou.....love the vacation pics. Enjoy yourself!

mellow.....I read your blog as much as possible. Still praying for little Marlo daily. She's a fighter

stephanie....you are nearing the final stretch! You have done so well. Are you prepared? Are you doing a c-section or vavinal?
love the nursery too!
anna.....I know that Bedrest sucks, but it works. I'm sure DS will be finethis summer. Talk to his friends moms i'm sure they will help you entertain him. I havethe same issue with my 12 yr old DD. I actually count on her help too. She will probably go and stay with my ex for 2 wks when school is out. She loves going to Atlanta to see him and her old friends.

leora.......thinking of you and hoping that everything is ok. I know you're scared, but your boys are healthy and so are you. Stay positive.

sonya.....so good to hear from you. Glad you're doing well.

I know I missed so many of you. I'm using an ipad for now and it sucks to type on. Excuse the spelling mistakes. I read daily, pray and cheer all of you on.

Have a great week!

Karin: You are my role model. LOL. I hope to be as calm and together as you are when I am 30 weeks! And measuring 38 weeks...wowee. Glad that you and the boys are both doing so well.

Lou: Wonderful photos from your trip! Sounds like you had a fabulous time.

Anna: Praying that you make it another 9+ weeks. Bedrest is no fun--but does serve an important purpose (I keep reminding myself daily!). Enjoy your baby shower this weekend!! And DS will understand...maybe there is family or friends that can step in and take him on a few getaways?

Stephanie: The nursery is gorgeous! Beautiful job. Do you like to just sit and admire it? I would! Can they just deliver the changing table? Or did DH go get it?

Mellow: I read your blog daily. Marlo is really a fighter--hurrah for 2lbs!

Amanda: Oh my. Sending lots of positive energy your way. Did your other DD/DS arrive early? Hoping the contractions subside. Rest!!

Rio: Thanks for the adorable list of EDD! Hopefully next week I will find out which team (s) we are going to be having!

Alisa: Yippeee! All going great with that beta. Can’t wait until your u/s...

Sonya: So glad to hear from you. You sound like you have GOT things together. Wow--I am so impressed--getting the house renovated, while still working and 35 weeks preggo!

Nwquiz: You get to see your bean tomorrow! Yeah! Can’t wait for report.

Karen V: Delaney is an awesome name! :-)

Barbara: You are so calm, cool and collected! I love it. How’d it go at OB today?

Gina: Hope that all is going well with Wyatt and Will. Hope that they get to come home this week with you.

Mairi Anne (Qita) : So glad that you are over here with us!! Yeah!!

Leora: Hoping that all goes well tomorrow-I am sure it will. You hang in there my friend. I am so sorry you are going through this scare. Take care.

Blair: How did your appt go today?

Kat: Did he tell you your levels? I am sure they are high enough if he is telling you it is ok to discontinue. I was actually told really early (like 6 weeks) that I could stop because my levels were so high it was clear my body was producing enough. I was still a bit wary, so after consulting with my OB I continued and then weaned myself off around 9 weeks. You should be just fine.

AFM: Nothing new to report. BORED! I am looking forward to next Tuesday when we get a peek at our peaches on the new 3D/4D machine and will hopefully find out the “flavors” we have. I also hope the SCH has shrunk. Still bleeding (old blood) daily. Sigh. Please. Please. Please let it be shrinking. At least no new red bleed in 2 weeks! That is good. I am on modified bed rest at least through the end of June.

Quick question.. has anyone experienced palpitations during their pregnancy? Mine started on the date that I first felt the baby move.. 18w4d. Since then, I have been having it at least once everyday, accompanied with shortness of breath. I checked my heart rate today while I was having it, and it measured 44! My normal hr is in its 90's. When the palpitations subsided, my hr was back up in its 80's. I don't have my next ob appt for another 3 weeks. Is this a reason to worry, or is it normal?

Amanda....I'm praying for you and maribel!

Ashley...as you know, I'm on bedrest because of the high heartrate. I do however get palpitations MANY times per day. My chest feels heavy and it's hard to take a deep breath. Since I wear a heart monitor all day I can say that when it is happening my heart rate does drop-but for me that means a heart rate of 110 or so. I would def call. They may just tell you it's normal because your heart is working hard for baby, but it's always better to be safe. I wore an event monitor for 10 days and the palps showed up, but didn't raise concern to my cardiologist. Good luck!

hi all,

anna, although our sons are at very different ages, i get what you're talking about. it's such a change for them already with losing their 'one and only ' status.. something just happened to me that totally changed my summer plans and post-newborn plans that i'm quite grateful for.. so my daycare fell apart, and i found a perfect new one, but they needed a 6 month committment to take us. so my original plan was to behome with baby and toddler, but now DS will have daycare 2days a week, which gives him special friend time, time away from baby to play and have his own thing. i'm really grateful for it now. maybe you can find some summer daycamps/ programs and your son can have fun with that. of course, it all costs money, but when i weighed the pros and cons myself, DH and i agreed DS needs his own 'thing'.. good luck with whatever you come up with. i hope you don't feel too guilty. mothering guilt is hard enough at the best of times :)

margi- bleeding out the old blood i always took as a sign of healing.. and it's better that it leaks out than stays in. i hope it's on the mend!

klinger. wowsa. hope those contractions mellow out! you need more time if you can get it

so i really really love the name Delaney for our girl..... but i have a question and i hope it doesn't sound silly, and i'd love your honest input... our last name also starts with 'D'... would it be bad for her initials to be 'DD'? people will call her 'double D'.?. and maybe she'll get tortured as a teenager re: bra size reference?? ugh.. names can be so hard.
