Is there anyone out there who is also due winter 2012 and would like to share the journey?
My name is Mairi Anne and I am delighted to report that I am now 8 weeks and 1 day pregnant This was our 3rd cycle of IVF and first success. I miscarried previously (natural pregnancy) at 7/8 weeks so am somewhat nervous and looking forward to reaching the 12 week milestone. All seems to be going well. I had another scan yesterday and the heartbeat was 154 bpm. The baby was still measuring slightly small (7 + 3 at but the clinic says the measurements are +/- 4 days so they are not concerned.
So, that's me. I hope to hear from some of you newly pregnant ladies out there who are expecting in 2012.
Heaps of baby dust to all out there

Hi Mary Anne! I am glad you started this thread. I wanted to, but I was kind of waiting until after my first u/s coming up this Friday. I am only 5 weeks 4 days pregnant and I am so nervous about the u/s. I just can't wait until Friday.
CONGRATS on your pregnancy. As you can see from my signature, this is my first after 4 tries. It is surreal, scary, and wonderful.
Part of the reason I am so worried is that I am having minimal symptoms that come and go. No m/s yet. Just sore BBs and fatigue. Plus my beta didn't quite double (although my RE and ghost said that it was very close and nothing to worry about). I guess the worry never stops!
My due date should be 1/26 based on my estimate.
Baby dust back at ya

Woo hoo CONGRATULATIONS Alisa Another January girl, yay!
I saw your post on the other board about the beta numbers. Ghost answered a similar question about beta numbers just the other day- although I cannot put my hands on it now. She said that the 48 hour guideline was not a hard and fast rule but a guideline so as long as you're near enough there (which you are) then not to worry. And obviously your clinic isn't worried.
I know exactly what you mean about the u/s. I get my knickers in a twist before each one but so far so good for me and I am sure you'll be the same. It will be so nice for you to get to see that much wanted baby (or maybe babies...?!) Am hoping you'll update us on Friday.
Bye for now.

My due date is Jan 6th, but I have this strange feeling my little one is going to be born Dec 24th lol. Tomorrow is my final u/s before being released to my OB and I am so nervous! So far everything is going well, but i can't help but worry.
Don't worry about the lack of symptoms Bliss, I still don't have m/s. Only sore breasts and I get tired really early at night.

u/s is scheduled for 6/17... my due date will be 2/2, but my dd was three weeks early, so who knows? thx for starting this thread! iphone is about to die, so laterz for now
Addy- Getting transferred to the normal route sounds very positive! Nice one Let us know how your scan goes today.
Does this feel real to any of you? I don't know whether it's because of the history of disappointment (everyone on this board can relate to that!) but my brain cannot seem to digest that I am actaully pregnant and am further along than I have ever been before. Maybe it's because my only symptoms are gigantic tender breasts and some tiredness- no m/s. Even the scans don't feel like they're really me.

Qita- I am totally with you on how surreal this is!!! If you haven't read "The Girlfriends Guide to Pregnancy" you have to get it. It is a hilarious take on the pregnancy journey from a girlfriend's perspective. She also devotes a chapter to discussing how the experience is different for those of us who are fertility challenged. You'll love it.
Welcome Addy. You are our lead batter. Can't wait to hear about the scan.
Mora- Great to be on the other side with you!!!

My due date is 1/11/12...I finally had success for #2 on my fifth cycle (1 FET, 4 IVF). Just had an ultrasound today showing leg and arm buds with a heartbeat of 165!
I'm feeling pretty nauseous and nervous...keep waiting for the other shoe to drop after going through so much.

Qita: It feel very surreal still. WIth my DD, it felt surreal all though my pregnancy. It still feels surreal to look at her and think, "Wow. She belongs to me!"
Bliss: I love that book! Fun fact: the author is married to Jimmy Iovine, who was the mentor on American Idol all year.
Addy: Isn't it scary being released?
DC: Congrats!
AFM: I've told a few friends and family members about the pregnancy. Are you guys telling anyone or waiting until 2nd trimester?
I'm Kat and I'm 8 weeks 3 days pregnant. I'm due January 8th but due to previous Classic C-section will have my baby delivered sometime the week of December 11th. I had my 8 week OBGYN scan yesterday and saw the baby moving around and the baby was measuring 8 weeks 5 days. The heart rate was 180. Everything looked great and got to see the baby's legs and arms and umbilical cord and she also pointed out the brain. Which just looks like a black hole in the middle of the head.

Hey DCRunning Momma!!! I saw a question you posed about exercise not too long ago. What did you decide to do?
I'm a distance runner... Or at least I was. I kept it up for a year of my treatments before my RE decided to cut me back and have me keep my heart rate under 140. The added 8 pounds are making me crazy, but I guess that's only the beginning! I want to get back to running so badly, but dont want to risk it. I can get back to it after I become a Mom.
Congrats on your pregnancy. It IS real...
Def- interesting fun fact. Here is another one for you... I have never seen a single episode of American Idol. It wasn't on purpose, I just never checked it out or had interest. Now it is so fun to see people's faces when I tell them I've never seen it that I don't think I could ever watch it.
Kat- welcome and congrats! Amazing to see your little one, and what a great HB!

Def- ditto on the telling people. We have told only our very close fam and friends and are waiting to tell EOE after that magical 1st trimester point. It's killing me though. I want to tell the WORLD!!!

I'm Sam and I'm 8 weeks and 0 days pregnant. My EDD is Jan 12th. We were acutally successful on our first try and are still in shock. DH and I honestly didn't think it would work and its still really surreal. I'm having minimal symptoms and I have to keep pinching myself that its real. It didn't even feel like it was us when we saw the baby on the u/s last week, so we can definitely relate to how everyone's feeling on this thread. Heartbeat was 133 and we've been released to the OB. Our first appointment is in the morning.
We haven't told anyone yet outside of our brothers, mainly cause one's living with us and we didn't feel it was fair for the other two not to know. We're going to tell the families in two weeks when we go on vacation and then EOE after the 1st trimester is over.
Congrats to everyone on this thread!

IVF #1= 1 beautiful blast transferred on 4/26, 1st Beta on 5/6 = 191 (BFP!), 2nd Beta on 5/8 = 492!
Sweetpea: That is really cool that they pointed out the brain to you. In my u/s yesterday they pointed out the arm buds and my doctor said she always says they look like gummy bears at this point
Red: We were successful on our first transfer as well. Every time I sit in that u/s room waiting for my doctor, I can't help but think they are going to find something is wrong. I think once I feel the baby move, that is when I will feel like this is real.
AFM: I have been released to my OB! The receptionists were so cute, they were like "It's Graduation Day! Congrats!" I really love the people in that office. I couldn't stop thanking my doctor and she said that all they ask is that we send them a baby picture. I also got my schedule for stopping my meds. I can't believe in less than a week I will be med free for the first time since February!

Addy- Yes I am very lucky that my tech was awesoem to take the time to point things out. In all my previous pregnancy's I never had any ultrasounds till 16 weeks so never had one so early. Congratulations on graduating. It's an awesome feeling to soon be done with meds.
Congrats Red Riding Hood So exciting. Looks like a lot of us are really close in out due dates.
Blissful- I used to run 4 times a week about 4-6 miles depending on how much time I had. It's been a while because of allt he IVF cycles. Not sure what I can do for excercise. I feel like crap right now but as soon as I start feeling better I want to get into something.
Deftonesmo- I've told friends and family. I have not told my kids though as they are 19 and 13. Thinking maybe telling after I get my results of my next scan on June 22nd. I'm just afraid of telling my daughter and having her get excited than something go wrong. She is quite sensitive sometimes. Not too mention impatient so 9 months will seem like forever to her so telling her later seems like less time for her to wait;)
