We have meds! DH went and picked them up at the fed ex facility this morning. It sounds like it is everything. I'm a little nervous about going home and seeing all the needles. YIKES!! In 2 days we possibly start injections!

The stim injections are much easier than the progesterone injections. I was very nervous about my first stim cycle and the injections turned out to be a piece of cake. It's the same needle that diabetics use for insulin injections.

For the progesterone, I found that sitting on a heating pad (making sure to keep it on my butt and away from my lower back) right after the injection for about an hour helped keep me from getting knots. Good luck WndrGrl and Alleykittie!

I agree. Less appointments with the FET we just did however more IM shots than with the fresh IVF cycle. Right now I'm on 2cc of progesterone each night and on Tuesday and Sat nights I also get estrogen injections. Those nights are my least favorite as I get a shot in each side. Oh well -- it's totally worth it to get a BFP.

Alleykittie - we are going to be doing our retrieval the same day! I have to be there at 6:30am.

Well I went from having 4 follicles to having 8. I think as of today 5 are good candidates. I am not sure if I will be doing a 3 or 5 day transfer. I would like to do a 3 day but I guess it just depends on how many eggs fertilize.

NancyB - congrats on entering the 2ww. How many more are there in the 2ww??

Called today to get the ball rolling for our FET the first week of August. Blood work tomorrow and getting my Mirena taken out, then we wait on aunt flo. I have not had a period in two years, so I have no idea if/when it will come and what it will be like. I must say, I am apprehensive at best and not looking forward to this. I know it's not near as much work as a fresh cycle, but the thought of the roller coaster has me very unexcited.

It sounds to me like everyone is doing great!! Good luck Alleykittie and RMB, I can’t wait to hear how everything goes! Hopefully, I will be right behind you

I had blood work and u/s this morning. My Estrogen level went from 480 to 1167 since Tuesday. Do any of you know anything about the Estrogens levels? I have 7 follicles on the left ovary, got distracted when she was doing the right. I have been having killer headaches, so we were chit chatting about that. Also, my Follistim has been reduced from 300 IU to 200 IU. Going back in Saturday for another update.

Alleykittie - Yes I did my shot last night. Didn't hurt too bad at first but then a little after. I was so used to the progesterone that it seemed to go in pretty smooth. I am excited/nervous for tom. I really hope it doesn't hurt as bad as last time!!!! I will keep you updated!

I agree...IM shots are way worse than stims. I will only have POI shots this go round for 12 weeks!! Talk about a pain in the rear!

Going to Colorado for the weekend of the 17th. Nice little get away prior to transfer. Glad the retrieval is over.

Sunshine- how did your appointmet go?

Can anyone give me a best guess what possible side effects I'll have with the shots? I know some have talked about bloating. Thanks!
