Just an update - I am home sweet home!! YAY!! Since the contractions weren't getting any worse they decided I could go home. I'll probably just have to tolerate them (since they continue to come every few minutes) but they're just uncomfortable, not painful, so that's ok by me. I'll continue taking the Procardia every 6 hours so my cell phone is chock full of alarms (now 4 alarms a day for my Procardia and then all my blood prick alarms too LOL.)

I'm just glad to be home and know that Maribel seems to be staying put for now. And knowing we had the steroid shots for her lungs is reassuring if she does decide to make an early appearance. Thanks again for all of the thoughts & prayers. I really, really appreciate them!

Rio -- I don't really get it myself why bed rest and early delivery. I think my OB is being extra careful due to the cord issue and my age. We have a marginal insertion which may be velamentous. It is not, however, a vasa previa.

Amanda -- YAY! So glad Maribel is staying put and you are home. I hope you are able to get the contractions under control.

SweetPea -- I have a feeling a BOY it will be! I've added you to the list.

Mellow -- Still thinking of you and Marlo. So glad she is making progress daily.

btw - Today was the first day this week I actually got dressed (bed rest makes for a very very lazy day... why change out of comfy PJs?) -- so I was planning on taking a belly pic.... but no matter how I tried (bedroom mirror, bathroom mirror, camera at all kinds of crazy angles) I could NOT figure out how to do it right! So I decided to wait for D to get home and take a picture of me.... but of course, as soon as I walked in (I came home later than him, hanging out with friends), I got undressed and totally forgot about the picture! PREGNANCY BRAIN! I'll try to remember tomorrow. My mom (in the USA) is begging for pics too :D

And pregnancy brain is hitting HARD. I was meeting up with friends and dogs. It took THREE trips in and out of my house until I finally got everything right. Doggie was soooo confused why we left, locked the door behind us, beeped the car open and then went back inside. I forgot my purse, something I was returning to my friend and a water bottle. Three separate trips BACK inside. And in the end... I left my cell phone at home... Oh well!

Leora....So good to hear that you and the boys are doing well. I love hearing pregnancy brain stories...makes me feel better about myself!

Amanda....What wonderful news that you got to home and Maribel is still nice and snug and cooking! Rest up momma! She'll be here before you know it!

Lou...How exciting that you got to see her for that long!

Karen V...I just had to add that my oldest sister's initials are DDD. She never had an issue with it! I did the same thing with my little girls' name. I wanted Isabella, but our looooong last name starts with Pella. I wondered if people were going to make her name sing-songy "Isabella Pella...". Then I finally decided I need to name her what I wanted! Delaney is beuatiful and was actually on my list!

AFM...Nada. Which is good. I did finally get brave and took a bare belly bump pic. Please ignore the stretch marks :) I got those beauties at about 7 weeks and no more since, so I should be happy for now :)

Blair- I'm very sad for you tonight. :( I can only imagine how that feels. I'm sorry you had to go through it alone. Prayers for you and DH.

Ryann- beautiful pic! You said you got the stretch marks at week 7. Seriously? I am just at week six today and have already had to break out the belly bands. At first I thought it was bloat, but it's still with me. I have an ever so tiny little baby bump, but it's there. Wow!

Karen- one of my best friends in highschool was named Dee Dee and her last name started with a D. Never once did I hear a double d joke. If course she was flat as a pancake (we both were). I think you are safe. It's a gorgeous name!

Rio- might as well add me even though I am a 2012 girl. :)

Lou- my Chinese prediction was a girl. All my dreams have been about a girl too. Your pics are fabulous.

SD- congrats on another boy! Waitingkay- congrats to you too.

AFM- out of town for my scan tomorrow so on my iPhone. So excited/nervous!!!

Klinger- My dear TAC sister. Wow. I was surprised to see your post about the contractions. How are thing today? Are you still in L&D? I will keep you both in my prayers. I am doing well. I'm in my 31 week. Had my last cervical scan at my MFM office this past Tuesday. Length is still over 4cm. They did a growth check on my little girl and she is approximately 4lb7oz already! woowhoo! My c-section is scheduled for July 20th at 38 weeks. Which is rather ambicious but I'm very hopeful that I'll make it that far. I just want to get to 35 weeks and then I'll be much more relaxed. I've been taking it easy by choice. Plus, quite frankly, I'm tired. Between the heartburn and shortness of breath, I don't sleep too well. Plus I"m getting quite big. So I want to relax as much as I can. Let us know how you are! xo

Annashope- I didn't realize you were on bedrest! I guess being MIA shows how much I've missed!I'm sorry you are having to be on bedrest. Is your cervix shortening alot? Having contractions or anything?

For those who asked, a TAC is a transabdominal cerclage. It is called that b/c it is placed by going through the abdominal wall(similar to a c-section incision) and putting the stitch at the top of the cervix where it meets the uterus. You can't put it on this location vaginally. Most cerclages (aka "stitches") are placed vaginally and don't have a very good success rate of getting the baby to term.

Hi Karen - I got to come home today, YAY! Still contracting but they're not getting any stronger so will just deal with them with Procardia and modified bed rest. They're not sure why my uterus is being irritable, but the good news is the contractions didn't seem to be doing anything other than making me a little uncomfortable. And Dr D was great (as usual.) He was on vacation this week but answered his cell when I called him on Tuesday and came into the hospital 10:30 Tuesday night to check on me himself. Gotta love him!! I'm so glad to read your cervix is holding up well and I'm so glad you're already in your 31st week. WOO-HOO!!!

ryann.. i think your belly looks beautiful :) seriously. stretch marks and all (I actually had to really look for those!)

klinger, glad things are settling down.

happy bunny, sorry to hear about the boredom and impatience ! :) as someone with a little guy at home; i might suggest you cherish it while you can ;) lol..

lou, i'm breathing down my 39th birthday and was also curious why you were tagged to deliver early.. i didn't get the other points you made (i'm not a medical person), but even with your age, you are in amazing physical health, so that's really on your side in terms of having a healthy birth process.. i hope it doesn't get complicated for you.

as for me, 'Delaney Grace' it is! i love the name, i think it's quite pretty. makes me smile :)

i'm also glad i've become more active on here... really enjoying it !

Karen - I looove the name Delaney Grace! So beautiful!

Amanda - SO glad to hear you're back home! sorry those contractions are uncomfortable, but glad baby Maribel is staying put for a while longer! :)

Bliss - Yay for your scan tomorrow! Can't wait to hear how many you have baking in there!

Ryann - thanks for chiming in on the palpitations issue. If it persists, I'll contact my OB. I'll also take Leora's advice and try drinking more water. I looove your belly shot! Can't believe you started getting stretch marks at 7 weeks, wowza. I guess twins will do that to ya. But glad to hear you haven't had any since.. that's always good news.

Leora - so sorry about the bleed, but glad the twins are still doing fabulous! Keep up with that rest. Hope no more dehydration episodes for you either!

Lou - welcome back and congrats on your girl!! How exciting!

SD and Waitingkay - congrats on your boys!! :)

Blair - so so sorry to hear about the loss. Praying and keeping your twins in my thoughts.

So sorry.. hubby is getting impatient to go to sleep.. have to cut the post short. Hope everyone is doing great!

AFM - Finally uploaded a belly shot! Reached my halfway mark today: 20 weeks! :D
Anatomy scan next Tuesday (finally!).. so excited to find out the flavor of our bean! :)

Ashley -- nice belly! I'm gonna say the Chinese predictor has a 70% chance of being right for you. Can't wait to find out!

Karenvancouver-- I didn't realy understand my OB either about the early delivery. She even said IVF plays a role there. Huh? I love the name you've chosen! "Delaney Grace" sounds so classic.

Blissful -- Thanks hun! I had girl dreams too and they were right on. So I think you are too!

AFM -- Starting to register for my shower... how overwhelming! What stroller/travel system is everyone getting? I was looking at the Chicco Cortina Keyfit 30 but the darn thing is 30 lbs and takes up a ton of trunk space. So then I was looking at getting the Peg Perego which is more costly but seems so much easier. http://us.pegperego.com/babyproducts-ca ... ystem+2010 Any input?

Also we've started to seriously narrow down our name list. Like I said before, the middle name will be my mother's name, Janice. The first name is so far narrowed to either Chloe or Peyton. We both like both names but I like Chloe a lot better and DH likes Peyton a lot better. Gimme your votes ladies!
