I am new to this board. My name is Kim and I am 39 years old. This is our first attempt at ivf. I am 4dpd5et and the wait is killing me already! We transferred 3embryos that went to blast. We were told that was really promising. I hope so!! I don't think we can afford to do this again...financially or mentally. I am hoping to find some words of wisdom or encouragement...I wish everyone here best of luck!

Welcome Kiminsh and congrats on being PUPO (pregnant until proven otherwise).
I completely understand how hard this wait is my friend. My beta is June 3. I am doing mostly bedrest and have been feeling very naseous the past couple of days. But I vow I will NOT POAS (pee on a stick). I am keeping positive thoughts that one or both of my beautiful blasts are snuggling in.
Thanks Becca and qita! My beta is June 7. Feels like an eternity from now!!!!!

Hi, kim
we have a lot things in common: 39 years old, 3 embryos were transfered and beta day is on 7 June. For my 2ww, I try to keep everything as normal as possible, otherwise, I go crazy

Hello Kiminsh! I have been through the 2ww 2 times and will be going through it again at the end of this week. I have found that there is nothing you can do to keep your mind off of it. I can only tell you to try and relax and take advantage of this time and have your husband do as much for you as he can. It is a pretty stressful time going from, "Oh, I think I am pregnant", to "I don't feel pregnant". You go back and forth. Both times I have been through this I POAS and both times at around day 9, I got a positive test. The first time it was negative the morn I went in for my Beta HCG test and came home from taking the test, and then received a positive HCG test that same day. Boards like these do help because everyone on here is going through the same thing and I find it a little easier to discuss things I am going through that my husband or friends may not understand. So good luck and we will be rooting for you!
Welcome NewComers!
The truth is so many others have no clue the journey we must travel to bring home a baby. Some get lucky that IVF works on the first try, but then there is the "unexplained infertility" where the RE has no clue what our diagnosis is. I would give anything to know why, but all we can do is stay determined. I will go ahead and tell you IVF makes you strong and determined, it may not happen right away but each time we try IVF I so believe the RE will bring us close to finding the right protocal. There is sooooo much support here, a great place to vent, but most of all you will make some great cycle buddies along the way!

Thanks so much for responding everyone. It really gives me strength knowing you ladies are out there experiencing the same feelings as me. I have really been trying to keep busy and in my regular routine. I am a teacher and this is our last week of school, so it is quite hectic and busy...which is good! Once work is over though, is when my mind plays tricks on me...feeling positive one minute, and extremely negative the next!
Kerri- we definitely do have a lot in common:) Best of luck to you!!
RMB, Nancyb, and brit1612- thanks for your input...I will be thinking of you all.
