Crashing - Good luck to all of the ladies on the Summer 2011 board. I hope you all get your BFP!

RMB - Here is the list for what is happening with your embabies after transfer.

*this is what happens in a 3dt :

1dpt ..embryo is growing and developing
2dpt... Embryo is now a blastocyst
3dpt....Blastocyst hatches out of shell on this day
4dpt.. Blastocyst attaches to a site on the uterine lining
5dpt.. Implantation begins,as the blastocyst begins to bury in the lining
6dpt.. Implantation process continues and morula buries deeper in the lining
7dpt.. Morula is completely inmplanted in the lining and has placenta cells &
fetal cells
8dpt...Placenta cells begin to secret HCG in the blood
9dpt...More HCG is produced as fetus develops
10dpt...More HCG is produced as fetus develops
11dpt...HCG levels are now high enough to be immediately detected on
HPT

Alleykittie - Yes! I have started the prog shots.... They aren't that bad yet. It starts to get worse as the time goes on because I feel like I run out of places to inject because my rear end is so sore! I am beginning to be a little sore though. But well worth it! GOOD LUCK with your transfer!!! I am glad I am doing a 3dt, 5dt does seem far, but maybe give you more time to get things done!

Lauren - your ET date will be here before you know it!

NancyB - GOOD LUCK! 5days is a little too early. Last time (5dt) I POAS and it wasn't until day 9 i got a positive test. To keep trying doesn't hurt as long as you know what to expect.

I am having a 3dt. 2 out of the 8 eggs they retrieved where immature, and only 4 out the 6 left fertilized. RE says 1 is real good, another pretty good, and the other 2 not so good. We will be transferring all 4 and hoping and praying that 1 sticks and makes it to 9 mos.!!!!! This is my third time going through this and I have gotten a BFP everytime, just haven't had good outcomes. So hopefully this is my time and if not.... we'll try again!

Good luck to everyone and I will probably be online ALOT because I will be on bedrest and waiting for some kind of sign for the next 2 WEEKS! .

AFM-BCP...........but I did talk to a local acupuncturist today! I am syked.he will bill my insurance and he said my co-pay maybe around 80$$..does that sound about right? Also how often do you do the treatment?? need some advice from you all..

AFM - had a fever of 102 all day yesterday and a cough. Hopefully I will be better for pre-op on the 16th! Also, this is DH and I's first transfer and we are struggling with how many to transfer! Any thoughts? We have 2 frozen blasto's and they are going thaw 7 (pronuclear stage) and see how they grow, and if they don't we have 2 back up. Any thoughts appreciated.

We just followed the advice of our RE on how many to transfer. Of course with the FET we just did, we only had one so no decision to be made there.

Hi ladies, I am so excited to be joining this board. You all seem like a wonderful group and a great support system! I am taking BCP's now, my last day is actually tomorrow. I go in the 9th for my US and blood work and then the 11th I start injections. ER should be about the 3rd week of June and ET should be about the last week. This is our first time trying IVF and we are praying that it works because our insurance doesn't pay for anything. As for meds, I had Gonal-F, and 2 others sent to me but have no clue as to what to do with them. This is all one big learning experience.... Anyways, good luck everyone, I just wanted to introduce myself. -Katie

Thanks Lauren! Today I had a long conversation with dh about "guilt" and "trying to feel normal". He thinks everyone around us has a perfect life and seems to always want to compare us to them. It drives me crazy! Ok these hormone pills are not doing me one bit of good mentally speaking.
Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day, last day of the Fermara! Shots will start on Wed, yay! Oh the madness!

akdelp -- yuck on the cold/virus thing. I hope you are feeling better very soon!!!! Have you ever heard of Young Living Oils? They are amazing. Any time I start to get sick, I rub their Thieves oil on the bottom of my feet every 3 hours and it knocks it right out. It has yet to fail me.

RMB -- how are you feeling? How's the bedrest going? Got lots of good books to read or movies to watch?

AFM -- I POAS again this morning (no big surprise there, huh?) and I got a BFP!!!!!!! It's a faint second line but it is a second line. Today I am 7dp5dt.

Congratulations Nancy! Sounds like you are well on your way to a BFP! I know it's a little early but a faint line is certainly on the positive outlook! Sorry for my lack of PMA here lately, but I get emotional sometimes and I have to remind myself it's not what happens, it's HOW we react back! This is going to be a exciting week for us, I can feel it!!!

Welcome Katie! This group of girls is great. I too was overwhelmed with the amount of meds I got. Let me tell ya, it does get easier. The doctor will explain what everything is and how to use it. Try not to think too much about the meds.
