Welcome MaTina, sorry I haven’t said anything previously I must have missed your earlier post. Also, welcome Anton to the summer board this is the happening place to be!

RMB – I think I will be transferring two, if there are two viable embryos. Fingers crossed! Hope your embies are nestling in!

Wndrgrl – All news sounds great to me!!! And I think ER is day 0, so your transfer will probably be Sunday. Not 100% sure on this though.

jcbaby – Glad to hear everything went great!! Congrats on being PUPO!!

AFM – Still felling bloated and a bit of discomfort from my Tuesday ET. My lower stomach is rather hard as well I tried on like four outfits this morning before work. Ughh Trying to drink water and fluids. Also, planning on a walk today, maybe that will make me feel better. Also, I’m starting the PIO shots tonight, a bit nervous of the injection….

Flipping through the June issue Coastal Living magazine, I found some good "beach reads" in "Bikini Book Camp"- How cute is that, but thought it would be a great way to pass the time for so many are getting close to being the 2ww. One that I thought looked interesting as a thriller to read is "One Summer" by David Baldacci and it's based in South Carolina. A young mother looses her life in a tragic car accident, her terminally ill husband suddenly begins to heal. Part of this cure involves rebuilding his life and the wife's childhood beach home in South Carolina. I love stories that rebuild personal lifes, it reminds me that although we each go through storms, we get stronger in the end and will prevail. I wanted to share with you all, In 2000 my dad had a massive heart attack and the following Christmas my two brothers and I got together with our stepmother- for what turned out our very last time to get to see her. She disappeared and lost connection with all three of us. Yesterday, my heart jumped with excitement when I was told my aunt ran into her at the grocery store... They talked for a long time catching up and my aunt gave my step-mother my phone number. I still cannot get this out of my mind, but dh doesn't think she will call after it being so many years, but I keep thinking maybe there is still a chance? It would mean everything to me and dh reminded me she may still has some of my childhood things in storage... After so many years those things I have let go, but she does have a piece of my dad with so many memories... Having her back in my life would mean so much...She never remarried so I don't know- but maybe she never really wanted to move on.

Alleykittie - Glad to hear you are doing ok! Congrats on being PUPO as well!

Anton - Welcome to the board. I have read some of your posts on another board and think that you are a strong woman and I really hope that it works out for you this time!!!

MadameX - Yay for transferring 2!!! I remember the first time I had my ER, my stomach was very bloated! Nothing would fit and it was very fustrating, and if something was too tight it hurt and was uncomfortable! I know what you're talking about.

Jcbaby - CONGRATS ON BEING PUPO!!!


I finally got to shower!!! and I am off bedrest. I hesitate to do certain things. My RE says no lifting more than 10lbs, so I guess doing dishes and light clean up is ok?

Sunshine - I really hope you can get intouch with your step mom. It would be really nice for you to share those memories of your dad again with her! Good Luck with contacting her! Going to take your advice on the book! I just finish reading The Ghost by Dainelle Steel and this book also was about rebuilding a life after different circumstances. It was a really good!!

Anton - I was a lurker for a while and was reading your posts. So sorry to hear about your BFN; I was really rooting for you even though you don't know me. But 7 is a great number. My DH and I got married on 7/7/07!! Good luck to you with your 7th IVF!! You are so strong and have such a great outlook - I hope it brushes off on me.

MadameX - Thanks for welcoming me and just want to wish you Good Luck!!!

I apologize if I missed anyone. I just joined this board and trying to keep up with everyone. But would like to wish you all the best!!!

AFM - Meds were delivered to my DH job today!! Not many as its a natural cycle. But it feels even more real now!! Still waiting for AF so I can schedule my water sono. AF should come by Monday. I had a water sono back in 2009; so I am not looking forward to another one! YUCK!!

Thanks everyone for the AF dancing! It worked...AF started full force today. I start BCPs tomorrow, and it looks like my FET will be July 18 or 19. I'm still really devastated by the miscarriage, but I think the best way to heal is to focus on my next cycle. I am so ready to be a mom!

Hello Everyone!

I stumbled across this board and saw so many similar stories and have decided to join the conversation I am in the process of my first IVF cycle - I started my stims on 6/2 with follow-up appointments on 6/6 and another one tomorrow morning, 6/10. As of my appointment 6/6 I had 12 follicles on my left side and at least 4 on my right (it was really dark on my ultrasound on my right side.) I am really new to everything so it has been great being able to see what everyone else has been going through with the process and having someone to relate to.

I hope to catch up with everyone's stories in the next few days but I look forward to sharing a June cycle with so many of you!

Welcome Dreams2009 - This is a very exciting board! It's great to have people to talk to that are going through the same thing you are! Quite a few of us on here have been on the IVF rollercoaster before, so if you should have any questions, this is a good place to ask!

Sunshine - I too hope you reconnect with your Step-Mother! I know what it's like to lose a parent and you want that relationship to keep those memories alive! My hear goes out to you!

WishingandHoping - Yay AF! Sounds like you're ready to get this cycle started!!! Good luck!

NancyB or anyone else- Did you get any cramping early on after ET? I am getting some cramping and also some on my right side. I am hoping it's just my ovary healing. It comes and goes. I had an ectopic before and do remember a pinching a couple days after transfer, so I am ultra paranoid about ending up with another ectopic.

I'm sorry if I missed anyone!

I had my day 6 u/s, blood, and pre-op appt today. We are on target for a Wed 6/15 retrieval, but of course that could change. She measured 7 follies on my right ovary and we were able to see the left but she didn't measure yet. We are waiting to see what they do. We can't up my drugs because I'm already on the highest dose. I'm certainly dealing with a ton of drug and growth effects. I'm glad to feel something though cuz then I know it's working!

Welcome Dreams2009!!

Blueeyedreamer - PGD – Is Preimplantation Genetic Diagnostics. It screens the embryo for certain genetic defects. On day 3 a single cell is taken from the embryo a then tested. Since I know I am a carrier of Fragile X I am having my embryos tested for it. But there are many other genetic disorders you can have the embryo tested for. Some people do this because of numerous failed implantations, or because of older age, or like me … they know that they are a carrier of something. This way I will be 99% sure that my child will not be affected. I just hope out of my 7 embryos, we will have some to transfer on Sunday (day 5).

Blueeyedreamer, RMB & Madame X - Thanks for the welcome! I really am looking forward to have people to share the experience with. This board seems to have a lot of knowledge so I'm sure it will be nice to have people bounce some questions off of.

Blueeyedreamer - I am definitely feeling really crampy & bloated...at least it's a sign that the drugs are working!

NancyB - Congrats on your BFP - Monday will be here before you know it!

MaTina - Exciting that your meds arrived! For me it made the process feel more real once you have them all lined up ready to go!

AFM - Had my Day 8 u/s & bloodwork this morning...more follicles continue to appear! Today I had 15 on my right ovary and 17 on my left ovary, so it's no wonder the cramping has become pretty bad. The sizes ranged from 11-13 and I go back on Sunday for another check-up. The nurse said I will most likely trigger on Sun/Mon and can expect the retrieval on Tues/Wed. Just waiting for my followup phone call with my bloodwork results and my med's!

Thank you ladies for your sweet comments about reconnecting with my step-mom. It's been kind of an emotional week...Just got home from the clinic. Found out I'm not responding well to the meds, or maybe it's still too early to tell? Dh could tell I was too happy that my follicles didn't change. When I asked about them she said she only hopes #12 doesn't continue to take the lead and steal all the glory. I was like, that is encouraging-- but at the same time she will tell me upfront how she feels and dh keeps reminding me we don't need someone to sugarcoat this. When I asked if we could do bloodwork, she said no need. Told me to continue with the 150 Follistim and do the opk in Monday to see if I'm ovulating. Said she'll see me on Monday and to go ahead and bring the trigger shot with me when I come in. Looking like the IUI is going to happen either on Tuesday or possibly Wed. I'm just praying we'll have a better response to the meds and something will happen~

blueeyed - too funny! I thought of you on Wednesday when I went in. I go in today for more bw and u/s. Right now they are looking at June 16 for ER. We will literally be a day behind each other.
