Has anyone had an abnormal SDD test result? I am hoping someone here can help us with our question. My husband had abnormal results on his SDD/"decondensation" and SDFA/"DNA fragmentation" tests. He got 68% on the SDD (normal is >80%) and 30.1% on the SDFA (should be <15%). He was prescribed male fertility supplements which may help with the fragmentation but not the decondensation problem. Besides checking if there is a varicocele and removing it, which may or may not help, the doctor says our only choice is IVF with ICSI. We're halfway decided on the IVF, but I'd really like to know if anyone has had a similar problem or know of any thing that can be done to improve the SDD result. I guess my big question is, CAN the sperm decondensation improve? Or is this something that doesn't change?
Hubby's sperm count and morphology are good, but motility is low. The male infertility supplement is supposed to help with this too.
