Thank you ladies for welcoming me to your board. A lot has happened here! I know I know I am the newbie here, but hopefully I can catch up quick. It is just so nice to find other in similar situations as myself. Before I started this journey I had no idea what "male factor" was and have come such a long way as I know many others have. It is definitely a rollercoaster, but so worth it. :) I will do my best here to remember everyone:

Dreams: sending you lots of luck and good wishes for your transfer tomorrow...sounds like you have some beautiful embabies ready to come home. Lots and lots of sticky vibes to you!

Wndrgrl and Blue: Congrats to both of you ladies with wonderful retrievals and fert reports! You twin IVF girls on on your way to your BFPs! So exciting! Take it easy til transfer and take care of yourselves. So happy for u both! :)

Nicks: Thank you for your kind words. I am so sorry to hear about your m/c. Two weeks in Canada sounds like a great vacation before you start your next cycle! So glad u like the protocol...your son will be a big brother before you know it. :)

Sunshine: hope you are doing well in the 2ww! By beta is just a day before yours (yours is on the 29th right?) sending you tons os sticky vibes. I really admire your positive attitude and encouragement to everyone...it is so nice. Hopefully this will
be the one for us!

Alley: Congrats on a wonderful beta! Sorry to hear about your OHSS...hope it is getting better. Take care of yourself.

Nancy: Congrats on your wonderful betas as well! I bet you cannot wait for that ultrasound! So happy for you!

Lauren: car shopping sounds like a lot of fun! Did you buy one? Looks like you and I are in the same boat with severe MF, hopefully this summer will bring us lots of luck and our BFPs! Not sure why some clinics use crinone and some PIO...my clinic is actually doing a randomized study for FET between progesterone suppositories and PIO...they state there is not any known difference in success rates of either one. I think a lot is RE preference.

Anton: What a beautiful christening gown for your Goddaughter...so precious! And it looks like a lot of time and love when into the gifts for everyone...they are so lucky to have you! Hope your husbands marathon went well...I had a few friends run in a marathon this weekend and we could track them on the Internet...so cool. Sending you lots of warm wishes for your BFP this summer!

Sorry if I missed anyone, wishing everyone lots of luck and love for their BFPs this summer!

AFM: My cold is slowly going away thank goodness. You were right nicks: tylenol, benadryl, and a minimal amount of sudafed is what my RE said I could take (really what is minimal?). I took two doses to get me over the hump and hopefully should be on my way to recovery now. I did two days of bed rest and now up and about a little today. I can't believe my beta is only 10 days away...the day after our anniversary, which I hope brings us luck! :)

Hi everyone! :D Image

Sunshine- Yes! Laugh is medicine! I agree! Even situations like ours is good to humour things! with the way you are treating your neighbours daughter looks like you are going to be a great mommy my friend! :D May this time you get your BFP and enjoy parenthood with your DH! Hang in there! When is your beta? 29th? A day before I get back from my trip! I can’t wait to cheer you on that BFP!!!! :D ...About that paperwork from the new IVF clinic...it doesn’t matter if you open it or not! You are going to find out your are prego in a few days and so you wan't be need it!...Personally I would open it. It doesn’t mean anything... btw, are you going to POAS?! Image

Nancy- YAY!!! For an awesome 3rd beta!! :D Well done my friend! You are definitely prego! I wish you the following 8 months are the healthiest for you and your baby/babies! Can’t wait to see how many now!! Image

Wndrgrl-YAY!!! Great ER and awesome fert report!! :D Get ready for Monday to bring home your baby/babies! Image

Dreams- GOOD LUCK today with ET dear!!!! I am crossing my fingers for you!!! Let us know how many did you transfer! Image

Michel- Welcome to the summer board PUPO lady! Here is where all the BFP’s are! :D Congratulations on your FET ! :D I wish you that this cycle is THE one for you! ...sorry about your cold, I hope you feel better soon and enjoy your pregnancy! ...and thank you so much for your king words :D Image

Blueeyedreamer – Excellent fert report! :D Tuesday is a special day!...you are taking your baby/babies home! Good Luck with everything! Image

Blissfull- Thank you for wishing me Luck! :D I will sure going to need it! How’s the mama doing? Image

Lauren- Looks like we will be cycling together my friend! :D Look below to see my plan...GOOD LUCK !!! you are getting your BFP this time for sure!!!! :D ...about progesterone shots, I only had them during my 5th IVF b/c I had a bit of a spotting and my RE recommended I should take them every day until my beta...prior to that time I never took them. I only had the progesterone suppositories (vaginal pessaries)....Feels great to get ready for summer vacations!! Yay!![ :D /color] Image

Nicksgam- I am glad you liked the Christening stuff for our Goddaughter...the tradition in my part of the world is that the Godparents choose and pay (of course) the Bombonieres (guest gift), the sweet for the guests (we call it kerastiko...something sweet and similar to sthng you are also given in weddings) and the Christening gown and the rest of the clothes...I just had the inspiration to make bombonieres myself. I believe that every baby is special and needs the appropriate attention on this special day of his/hers. ...so why not bring out the best for it! ...about DHEA, i have asked my RE the other day and told me that is not something that I produce enough eggs and that is DHEA even though is not something that ALL doctors “believe in” but is recommended in cases where the woman doesn’t produce much eggs ( has a low stim respond..) i don’t know, this is what his answer was for me... Image

Alleykittie- Congratulations on your pregnancy!!! Sent some baby dust our way!! Image

RMB- Congratulations on an awesome 2nd beta!!!! That is fantastic dear! Your u/s is going to be just fine! Your little bean or possible beans judging from your numbers is going to be great!!! Can’t wait to see how many on the 29th! Image

Boy! I just LOVE the summer board! It’s SO full of BFP’s!!!! ....it’s like we are all surfers and we keep getting great waves to do our thing!!

AFM-well girls I got the green light to start July 1-2nd!!! Yay!!! First of all we had a long discussion about our IVF failures and we ended up in: (a) Monday we (DH and I) are going to the Genetics institution to give blood for a test called “Peripheral Chromosome analysis”. The results come in two weeks. This is a test to check any abnormalities in our chromosomes that might be causing infertility. we taken before DNA test but this is something different. (b) we are going to proceed with a CGH (a kind of PGD) and check if our embryos are OK and if yes (Please make it a YES) then we proceed with 5dt. I am going to give my RE a call on Monday afternoon and he will tell me when to go for a baseline u/s. This will be either Monday or Tuesday. I told him that we are leaving for London Thursday 23rd and i need to do the u/s prior to that. When i go for the u/s he will give me my protocol and meds subscription. Most probably we are doing the Antagonist protocol like we did last time he said. I come back from London on the 30th June and according to the plan, I am getting my AF either on that day or July 1st. So on the second day of my period I start the protocol. We all agreed that the timing is perfect with the trip and AF coming. During our meeting with the RE I have raised the question of what if not a BFP after all this. Or what if we find that there is a problem with the embryos? My RE said that, first of all even science has developed extremely in the recent years still there is a small “black” area around the implantation part that is still unknown! As a result in cases like ours where we have good protocol respond and eggs and excellent fertilization that is reaching perfect blasts stage and still BFN’s not even a chemical, if the results of the chromosomes of us and our embryos are normal then we get into the category of people diagnosed with “unexplained infertility” . I have asked about checking my eggs even though my response to the meds and egg #’s are good each time It got me thinking that what if my eggs are no good? My RE sais that there isn’t an egg test like there is a sperm test. So even though everything looks fine we cannot take out the possibly that there’s an issue with the eggs. And I am not getting any younger! :( The eggs get older as the woman gets older. And even though he said, I am 37 and don’t belong YET in the critical age of 40 and above (I am quoting his words now..) a woman above 35 is entering a frame of age that is vital for fertility. If all these don’t work he suggested that we use donor egg. Even though he doesn’t have a proof that there is something wrong with my eggs. he said that maybe this is something that we might need to consider...Of course my DH believes that the reason we get only BFN’s is his sperm! And for the 100th time the RE told him that we cannot blame everything on the sperm just because he has azzospermia! He even joked to him that how can we make textbook perfect, Grade A blasts if the sperm is not OK! This cannot be happening if the sperm is NO GOOD! Things like that dont just happen he said. he also gave us an example of a couple that has been through 6 failed IVF's and after running a series of tests they where diagnosed as "unexplained infertility" and this guy's sperm was perfect!...Ok, that will shut him up for a while!...we all wished that everything will go fine this time and that we want be needing anything else! ...after discussing alone with my DH, I told him that if this time doesn’t work I am willing to try egg donor. I don’t mind, I will still be the mother and he will still be the father and this is ALL that matters. His reaction was that I am being silly and that there is nothing wrong with my eggs and the only problem here is his sperm. I wanted to kill him!! God gave me strength and i didn’t! ...he is not comfortable with the idea we using a sperm donor or egg donor or adopting. He wants to adopt a baby but only after he has his “own” first. And this is something we both wanted to do before we even started IVF. I understand him! I really do! And I try to change his mind over this but in the end, like I told him many many times if he doesn’t want to proceed with alternatives then I am ok with it. I love him more than anything and I would rather be childless than be without him. Having kids would be a bonus! I can picture us either with a family or just the two of us and our puppy Happy but never on our own! In our attempt to make our family we shouldn’t lose what we have. We have agreed and he made me an extra promise that we are going to be positive for this cycle and that we be good and everything will turn out fine. As long as we have each other and I got his back and he's got mine then there’s nothing we can’t do! We agreed that we are in this together and we need to be strong for each other’s weak phases and we are going to hope and pray for the best, and to be more specific, for a BFP! :D ...so, he went for his marathon up in the mountains this morning but i didn’t go with him... told him to go by himself, meet his run buddies up there and enjoy his sport and the ride up there will give him some time with himself to relax and I am going to be waiting for him when he gets back this afternoon with a babble bath and comfort food on the table (haven't decided yet what i'll cook..)...and of course with lots of hugs and kisses. I am going to have the usual lunch at my parents and brother and then back home to do some sunbathing by the pool with the company of my book, Happy and most probably my brother's. I better go buy some flowers for my Dad! :D Its father's day today...

Sorry for the venting!!! I got carried away  didn't realized I wrote this much! ... I believe we all have been in similar situations and dilemmas and this is all part of the IVF journey or better say adventure!

Baby dust to us all girls!! Image

Have a lovely Sunday everyone!!....Monday is coming with more BFP’s!!!! Image

michel212 ~ Happy to hear you are feeling better. Your beta will be here before you know it; do you plan to POAS? I am an addict. With both of my cycles I started at 13 dpo.

RMB ~ Congratulations on a strong second beta!!! The worry never ends. But the best thing for you is to enjoy your pregnancy. And before you know it you will have a beautiful baby in your arms.

Dreams2009 ~ Sending you tons of Sticky Vibes!!! Not sure how old you are but on my first cycle we transferred 3 day 3 embies and had one amazing baby boy. On our next we transferred the only 2 which made it and were pg with only one baby that we miscarried. You should ask your RE what are the odds of multiples. On our first cycle we were told that if we transferred 3 there was a 5% chance of having triplets (not very likely).

Lauren ~ No I haven’t done acupuncture. Not sure how serve our MF infertility is. We were told that IUI and IVF without ICSI would not be an option. DH has low count and motility, our RE said we only need less than 12 healthy sperm, which he has more than. They perform some technique where they make the sperm swim upstream and only pick the fasted and best. On my last visit I asked about what we could do to improve DH’s sperm quality and my RE said not to worry about it since we are doing ICSI.

WndrGrl ~ Wow 9 out of 10 fertilized that is great. Sending your embabies tons of growing vibes!!!

Sunshine1576 ~ Yep had DS make DH a wonderful card. I think there is no reason read the paperwork. You are PG!!!!

Alleykittie ~ Huge congratulations on your first beta! YOU ARE PREGNANT!!! ENJOY!!!

AFM ~ I almost feel as wonderful as Anton, I have been preparing DH the most wonderful father’s day. Anton, don’t know how you make such fabulous dinners every night. So tomorrow we will have caramel pull apart bread, bacon, potatoes and eggs for breakfast. And Rib eyes, coleslaw, corn on the cob, fries and baked beans for dinner.

I don't think you need it but it helps you relax and sleep after the transfer. I was prescribed valium both times and was told if I took it then I would need someone to drive me home.

Is transfer painful? I'm expecting it to be uncomfortable because of needing a full bladder. I have interstitial cystitis so that will be pretty rough!

Blueeyedreamer- Dont worry honey! :D its going to be a walk in the park! they need the full bladder so that they can clearly see ur uterus and the "parking spot" for your little embbie/is. The only thing you need to do is just stand still! Is not as much of a big thing as is sounds! its only big due to the purpose and more of an emotional moment rather than a painfull one. make sure you get to watch the monitor to see your babies coming home!! unforgetable moment! also ask your RE for a photo of your embies prior to transfer! this will be your baby/ies first picture ever!! and remember! women who conceive naturally they dont get to live such an exciting moments!! we IVFers! are previlidged to watch first front row seat miracles happen!!! Image

Hi again! :D

Nicksgam- Thank you SO much for your kind words and wishes dear! :D From your mouth to God’s ear! ...as for cooking, I Love cooking! It’s my thing! :D I have designed my kitchen (actually not only the kitchen but the entire house...note that I am not an architect I just love design, of any kind, art and I have done a lot of house design research when i was building mine and that gave me a good sense of space) so I find it very inspiring to cook in there. :D It's very spacious (open plan) and it’s elevated from the rest of the areas in the ground floor. The kitchen practically takes almost half the ground floor space and it has the “dining room” included but in a modern way that’s part of the kitchen and house design/style...I don’t like formal dining rooms so I have only that table in the kitchen to eat (inside) but is really big and fits comfortably 8 people & + to sit. I have put a Pool table instead where the dining room was supposed to be and made it a play room which actually is not a “room” b/c is an open plan so it’s more like a play area where we hang out with friends and play pool (billiard) or if get bored sometime with DH we play against each other. Even though I am not bad usually he wins but who cares (my mom freaked out when she first saw it and kept asking me where is the dining room?! well the house supposed to serve our needs and not others people must do's  ...so cooking is like a ritual for me and while cooking I can interact with all that’s happening in the ground floor with music playing around the house (TV, games, guest etc) It’s like when you plant something and when is ready and you eat from that fruit it’s the sweetest ever b/c you have put you self in it, this is how I feel about my kitchen/house, it’s our sanctuary. Also cooking brings me and DH closer so I highly recommend it to everyone! God! I talk too much!!! Well my friend, you are the one that asked me how can I cook every night and there goes my answer! ...I really hope God will bless us with a baby or two to share our life and everything with it/them! :D Image

About design I know it’s silly and inappropriate of me but I already know what furniture I will put in baby/ies bedroom which stroller to buy and which car seat. Not to mention the curtains and the wall colour etc I know I am pathetic! But you know, from the first IVF I had I started looking at baby stuff and feeling positive and optimistic that it is going to work and every cycle I thought that it was THE one so got carried away and kept looking at stuff...how could I know that I would reach my 7th IVF and no baby still. Good thing I know what I’ll buy when time comes! Image

LYD- Tomorrow is your big day!! Can’t wait to hear the good news!!!

Blueeyedreamer- I never took a valium or tylenol or any other kind of medicine during FET....and anyway my RE never suggested it. you are going to be Just fine! :D

Margi- It’s been a long time to stalk us here! Are you off the bed rest and started going around! How are you little beans doing? I am going to stalk you on your board! Image Image

Rio- Lou-Leora- Rypell- How are you mama’s doing? Any exciting news! Getting ready to meet your babies? :D It’s been a while to stalk us here! I am going to stalk you instead! Image

Moorebaby- Hey girl! When are you planning to start your next cycle! If I remember well you where saying something about July...I am not sure...Jump in and tell us what’s going on! I can’t wait for us to get our BFP’s!!! and get a taste of motherhood!!! I am sure our babies are on their way! Image

Tammy- Don't know if you visit our board I just wanted to let you know that youand Zach and hubby are in my prayers! and hope you are doing great and you are a happy family! :D Image

I took a “break “ from the sun to shower and visit the board...I will go at my parents for lunch now...talk later...As it shows I've got plenty of time in my hands today!

Anton- don't you worry, I'm still reading and (silently) cheering on you and all the summer cyclers. I'm doing well, thanks for asking. My belly is growing, which means my baby girl is growing too. I feel great most of the time and am still playing tennis and hitting the gym a few days a week. I think the cgh testing will really help you guys. Summer cycle will be your lucky cycle!

You are right it brings families closer and I cannot wait to hear about the newest addition of your family. I love how you have everything already figured out with the baby room to all the details. My friend this is going to be your time and I will be cheering you on to an exciting BFP this July! I know you're looking forward to lunch with your parents this afternoon, Happy Father's Day! :D

Dreams-GOOD luck! lets us know..Where is your beach vacation?? I am so jealous :D

RMB-CONGRATS! I see your concerns about the u/s...stay positive!!!! remember some women have NO symptoms

Michel-Thanks for the info about your clinic. I guess my RE wouldnt do it if it wasnt good right? Ive heard Crinone is good bc it absorbs right into the site...the uterus. I always worry if Im doing it correctly! Glad your feeling better! Will you POAS??? I am an addict :D  Car not yet..its a process you know.

BLUE-the most discomfort is the full bladder. My RE doesn presribe anything! You will be just fine just like a PAP and a small cramp! U/S pushing on your belly was the worst for me. GOOD LUCK!!

Anton-YES! cycling together we will be :D Sounds like you and your RE have a solid plan! I hope you find the answers with your new testing and it will lead you to your BFP  I love what you aid about this ADVENTURE and not losing what we had and where this all started from! It is so stressful and you really need eachother to understand the others weak moments and pick eachother up! Staying positive is very hard with all the obstacles we cross. My DH always jokes about how its so weird that we are NOT aloud to have sex while making a baby?! It takes a strong couple to overcome this adventure and I think GOD will reward us and has a plan for all of us  Hey enjoy that pool girl and cooking. I love to cook too could use some good recipes!!

Nick-12 million? and it didnt matter bc of ICSI? Really.....interesting bc my RE seems to think we have poor embryos bc of the sperm...or maybe its my egg?? IDK were trying everything at this point. My DH has very low count like only a few million and morphology and motility. I like the sperm race test...  I always tease my DH about how excited his sperm were to finally meet my egg!!! I have to make some kinda humor out of all this!!

AFM-Dinner with in laws for Fathers day today! Yesterday was our anniversary. We had a vacation planned for July but from the looks of things it may not be happening bc I will need to be home for u/s and bw :( IDK what to do!!!!!!!!!!!!! Doing laundry and cleaning...weather is ok. Overcast in the 80's. Just taking my vitamins and DHEA! Back to house work...

Lauren - We are going to South Carolina for a week which should be a great time! It's both DH & I and then both sets of parents. Should be a crazy time! Sorry to hear you might have to cancel your July vacation (maybe a celebration vacation in August will be in order  )

Anton - Sounds like you are a great cook!! I wish I had the talent to cook meals like that, but I leave that to DH :P Enjoy the pool and time with the parents today!

Blueeye - The transfer doesn't hurt at all. My doctor did not prescribe any medications at all (only tylenol post transfer if I really need it.) Like others said, the most uncomfortable part was the pushing on that full bladder.

Nicksgam - I am 27 years old and my doctor was great to talk me through all my %'s on what number to transfer.

Michel212 - Thanks for all the stick vibes & good luck! I am happy to hear you are starting to get over that cold! Keep that R&R and lots of fluid going. Can't wait to see those beta results!

RMB - Awesome beta!!! Does your office do 3 tests or 2 and then the ultrasound?

AFM - Transfer went great! I was so excited when I got there this morning because they were not sure if my doctor was going to come in for transfer today (as he was not the doctor on staff this weekend) but he made the trip in for it :D He said he never abadons his patients! I got pictures of all 10 of my embabies that were still developing at this point. He said I have 2 perfect ones that were ready for transfer! He told me that if I transfer both I have a 60% chance of pregnancy and a 20% chance of twins. So we went for two  After transfer he told us how great it is that we are given that opportunity of parenthood with a transfer on Fathers Day. Wow, isn't that the truth. They will let the other 8 embabies continue to grow overnight and see how many they will freeze of the remainder tomorrow (probably no more than 4 of them.) So we leave on vacation to SC next Saturday. On Friday I go in for just bloodwork to check progesterone levels and then I was scheduled to go in 7/1 for beta testong. Sadly I will still be on vacation at that point until 7/2 and the office doesnt re-open for bloodwork until 7/5. So I think I'm going to end up waiting until 7/5 for my beta testing and probably cave and POAS on 7/1. Bedrest for the rest of today and tomorrow! Hope everyone enjoys the rest of the weekend
