My doctor gave me a prescription for valium and said to take it one hour before. I'm nervous on what to expect for transfer.

Talked to the clinic and all is a go for Tuesday! She gave me tips for my bladder and they will accommodate my needs due to the IC.
I'll write more later. My iPod gets annoying!

Hey girls!

I just found y'all. I was on the May cycle and had a BFP but had to have a d and C on Friday. Our little angel just wasnt strong enough. I was reading through the post and ANtons caught my eye.

Anton: Your not the only one that picked out furniture and clothes and curtains and stuff. When I did my first cycle in January I did that also. I even went so far as to get personalized bib's for all the relatives. Don't think of yourself as "weird". Alot of us do that. We have to work so hard to have our little angels and want it so bad. Makes me so mad how all these lil girls and ladies with preggers bellies smoking and not taking care of themselves and we want them so bad. Oh well. I know you will be a mom someday. You are just so sweet and kind and have a nurturing personality and God will make you a mommy soon. I say that about God but my faith is sure being tested right now.

WndrGrl and BlueEyeDreamer,
I found the transfer to be nothing to it. You have a full bladder and pray they don't keep you waiting too terrribly long in the lobby..lol But seriously it is so cool because you're able to watch your entire miracle happen. Very minimal discomfort, no meds required and afterwards you lay reclined on the bed and rest for about 20-30 minutes.
It's all very exciting and soon you will be PUPO! :D Keep us posted. xoxoxo Sunshine1576

WndGrl - during the transfer they insert speculum, wash you out with some water, and insert the catheter cotaining your little embryos and then you lay there for an hour. It doesn't hurt at all. Just uncomfortable having that speculum up there.

Well after receiving the good news about my beta, I had some spotting this morning. :( Ugggghhhh why does it have to be so stressful and diffucult? I have had spotting with each pregnancy and have yet to have a good outcome. My RE usually only does one beta test and I had him do 2 for me this time. I might just have him do another one????? The spotting has stopped but the same thing happened last time also.

Wndrgrl,
The actual procedure only takes 5 minutes, it's the resting part that may require some time. It may vary from one clinic to another but mine took almost 30 minutes altogether.

The transfer is very easy, don't worry. You need a full bladder, but it doesn't need to be too full. During my first transfer since my bladder was so full they let me pee a little, but I had to promise I won't go too much. I have a super small bladder, so last time I went about an hour prior and I was just fine. I was told that if your bladder isn't full enough you will have to drink water. I know clinics vary, but at my they did a trial run and then the transfer and said I could leave when I was ready. You will do great!!!

LYD10- A very BIG day for you with beta and a new job. I cannot wait to hear how your day goes! :D

RMB- I've been reading about betas, but saw your signature line, the positive hpt... ok- HOW did we miss this exciting news? Congratulatons on your pregnancy! :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Michel- thank you for recently joining us, I look forward to getting to know you too! How are you holding up in the 2ww? I hope to find more girls with betas one day apart from each other so we can countdown to their beta too. Maybe that will help time fly by, but it's all very exciting because the "phone call" is a big moment for everyone, cannot wait to read more BFP news! :P
