Anton- I'm so jealous you are going to London! Have fun and I can't wait for pictures and stories!

Jerseygirl- Welcome to the group! What a story. I too have stage 4 endo. I had robotic assisted excision surgery which made a tremendous difference for me. I have an endometrioma that showed up during my stims for IVF but other than that I seem to be doing well. Endo is a nasty disease and I wish it would just disappear.

Kbanks-Excited for the fert report! Way to go! 16 eggs is marvelous.

Kynlee- My fingers are crossed for you. You have a wonderful attitude.

Starry- Yeah for faint lines! Can't wait for your beta results.

Sunshine- The hives have stopped spreading. I will go to the dr if it becomes a problem again. I am prone to all kinds of allergy issues so who knows. I'll keep an eye on it. Right now I'm just wishing the welts would go away. I have three that are right next to each other on my leg and it's huge. They combined into one big welt that is bigger than the palm of my hand. I have one on my hip that is pretty big too. The one on my tummy is small but competing well with the itch factor. Witch hazel, cortisone cream, and ice packs are helping.

Day 1 of the dreaded 2ww is down, 9 more to go! My beta is July 1. This would be great timing because I just booked a family vacay for my parents and brother to come visit me for 2 weeks at the end of July. It would be really nice to be successful and to be able to announce when they are here. My folks don't know about the IVF. My brother does but he is a good secret keeper. I wasn't going to tell him except he was wanting to book a ski trip for November! Had to say that was a maybe for me. I'll keep the bench warm at the lodge, hopefully!

I'm going to try to keep myself busy with projects around the house and a little part time work for the summer. It's nice to end the school year and go right in to the 2ww.

Take care all! I hope we get lots more good news soon.

Hello Everyone!

So much has been going on on this board lately! Tons of exciting stuff happening now and upcoming :D

Debaro80 - Thinking about you and hoping you find out soon enough what is going on! Just wait for that beta test for the final answers!

Blueeye - Although you are only on Day 1, we have the same beta date! Our doctors must just do them at different times post transfer. Day 4 for me....and 7/1 can't come soon enough!

Lyd10 - I've been thinking about you and sending you lots of hugs. Keep up that PMA and next cycle will be it 8)

Kbanks - 16 is a great number of eggs! I will be looking for your fert report later on today! Are you a 3 or 5 day transfer, or a play it be ear transfer??

Akdelp - GOOD LUCK TODAY!! I'm sure it's less than 13 hours by now and you will have the news before you know it :)

Jerseygirl - Welcome to the board! There are a good number of us that are new to the board for these summer cycles, so just jump on in. You have been through so much already it sounds like and June 30 will be here very soon!!

Kynlee - Beta day is here! Good luck and keep that PMA - the blood test decides it, not POAS.

Anton - Have a fabulous time in London and I can't wait to see pics of your god-daughter in that beautiful dress 8)

AFM - Today is Day 4 after the 5 day transfer. I'm starting to go a little crazy as I have absolutely no symptoms. No pains, twinges, spotting, etc. Worried that if I do not feel anything that nothing is going on in there. Do some people just have no symptoms what-so-ever and still get a BFP??? I have bloodwork tomorrow morning just to check progesterone & estrogen levels, but nothing related to beta. Going to be a long 8 days till 7/1..... Have a great day!

Hi ladies! Hope everyone is doing well. :) I have been back at work and school (master's) and will definitely have to catch up and post personals later. I had a quick question. To all those doing PIO (Nancy I know for sure you are, right?)...today is 7dp3dt for me and the pain in my upper buttocks from the IM injections is so bad! :( There is pain when I walk, sit, stand- you name it. I have been sleeping on a heating pad on low every night but it does not seem to be helping much. Any tips or suggestions out there...I would appreciate them so much! thanks....

  Hi ladies! As stated in my previous post, I will be joining this board. I finally have some time to read through the posts & do some personals :-)

michel: I used to do PIO for my 1st 4 cycles. The trick is to ice the area 1st (before injecting) & then to walk for 10 minutes to allow the PIO to spread. Hopefully, that helps :)

Dreams: 1st of all, congrats on being PUPO!!! According to the chart, your bean(s) is/are still implanting, so it is WAY too early for symptoms. It is very possible to have NO symptoms, even once HCG is being made by your body. I'm praying for your BFP!

**this is what happens in a 3dt :

1dpt ..embryo is growing and developing
2dpt... Embryo is now a blastocyst
3dpt....Blastocyst hatches out of shell on this day
4dpt.. Blastocyst attaches to a site on the uterine lining
5dpt.. Implantation begins,as the blastocyst begins to bury in the lining
6dpt.. Implantation process continues and morula buries deeper in the lining
7dpt.. Morula is completely inmplanted in the lining and has placenta cells & fetal cells
8dpt...Placenta cells begin to secret HCG in the blood
9dpt...More HCG is produced as fetus develops
10dpt...More HCG is produced as fetus develops
11dpt...HCG levels are now high enough to be immediately detected on HPT

===========

**this is what happens in a 5dt :

-1dpt ..embryo is growing and developing
0dpt... Embryo is now a blastocyst
1dpt....Blastocyst hatches out of shell on this day
2dpt.. Blastocyst attaches to a site on the uterine lining
3dpt.. Implantation begins,as the blastocyst begins to bury in the lining
4dpt.. Implantation process continues and morula buries deeper in the lining
5dpt.. Morula is completely inmplanted in the lining and has placenta cells & fetal cells
6dpt...Placenta cells begin to secret HCG in the blood
7dpt...More HCG is produced as fetus develops
8dpt...More HCG is produced as fetus develops
9dpt...HCG levels are now high enough to be immediately detected on HPT

Debaro: I'm praying that everything's ok.

blueeyedreamer: Congrats on ending the school year! What do you teach? I just ended the school year as well...yesterday was my 1st day of vacation  I teach Health for 6th, 7th, & 8th grades...LOVE it (most days, lol!) Also, congrats on being PUPO! Did you have a 3dt or 5dt & how many beans are in there?

Kbanks: 16 is a great #! Can't wait to hear the fert report! Rest up :-)

akdelp: YAY for FET today...you are PUPO!!! Let us know how it goes!

JerseyGirl: Wow...thank you for sharing your story w/ us! You are a very strong & determined woman. You WILL get your BFP! In exactly 1 week, you will be PUPO!

kynlee: Oh, sweetie! I'm sorry. But, you just never know...there have been BFNs on HPTs the day of BETAs & then a BFP on the BETA. It can happen. Just like you said to me, "our turn is coming."

fruit: A 2 month vacation..wow! Where did you go? I'm glad you're jumping back on the rollercoaster & it sounds like you have a much better plan that will give you your BFP!

anton: Have a blast in London! I can't believe you'll be starting so soon...YAY!

Starry: Good luck tomorrow!

Ok, I have to stop here because I have to get ready to go meet up some of my teacher friends for lunch. I will definitely continue with my personals later. Have a great day everyone!

Moorebaby- I'm a speech language pathologist. I worked with kids of all ages in the district from preschool to 21 in the homes, schools, and the jail! I was all over the place. I enjoy it, most days :) I had a 5 day transfer of 2 wonderful looking blasts. They were already starting to hatch!

Michel212- Sorry to hear the PIO shots are so nasty. That is one thing I can be happy about is that mine don't hurt at all. My dh is shooting them in pretty high up on my rump, def in the upper hip corner. I massage the injection site for a few minutes after and then let it be. I'm not sure if I would rather have pain at the injection site or these darned itchy welts.

Dreams-Yeah, a beta buddy! It will be our day, I'm sure of it!

Debs- Thinking of you! I hope you have answers soon.

I must find something to keep me busy until next week! I'm gonna go nuts!

Hey all...I'm feeling a little down right now. Just got the call that there is nothing to freeze. Of the 7 remaining, 5 of them were not good at all. They kept 2 an extra day to see how they looked and they actually looked worse this morning. This one is hard to take because we were hoping we'd have something to freeze in case we wanted to do a FET cycle. It's a helluva lot cheaper than a full cycle.

Michel,

You poor thing. I'm sore but nothing like that. Like Ester said, I do ice the area for at least 30 min before injection. I don't walk afterwards but I do apply heat via a heating pad afterwards for about 30 min. Also, my husband rubs the injection area for about 3-5 min after injecting. I've heard it's supposed to help it disperse?.?.?

Are you alternating sides each night? So sorry for your pain. Hang in there.

Michel - I've only been doing PIO now for 5 days and the soreness isn't too bad. I can definitely feel it more on my right side then my left. Have you tried really rubbing/massaging it in after getting the shot? I don't know if it helps that after I get my shot I'm walking around and normally on my way to work.

WndrGrl- I am sorry to hear that there weren't any to freeze, but maybe that is just a sign that you won't need them! I have faith

Kynlee- You are in my prayers! Sometimes our bodies trick us a little and it doesn't help when we are accutely aware of every tiny twinge when going through this. Keep up the PMA, we are all rooting for you and your little bean!

AFM- Got a call from RE today... of the 16 retrieved, 12 were mature and ALL 12 fertalized! 1 was not viable because it actually fertalized with 2 sperm and they won't use it, but I am looking at this as a beautiful sign of things to come. He will call me on Saturday to give me a report on the embies and then Monday is the transfer day (5DT), unless they need an extra day. Yesterday was much more painful than I thought it would be after I got home and I was SO swollen and bloated! RE said that everyone reacts differently to the ER and because he had a little bit of a time getting some of the eggs out, he would expect me to be quite sore, bruised, and swollen/bloated.... I don't know how you ladies that have done multiple fresh cycles do it! I stayed home today just because I had nothing that fit for work and I am still pretty sore today, although as the day goes by it gets better.

Anyway, I hope you all are doing well! XOXOXO

CATCHING THE BIG WAVE! :D

Woohooo, summer is officially here and the action is certainly happening! I want to thank everyone for contributing so much love and support here. It has been quite the ride in our fertility journey, but I know someday we will have that family we so long for. Just a personal note, with this "chinese kick" I'm currently on... my last few fortune cookies have read: "You will be showered with luck." "You will have good luck and overcome many hardships." and this afternoon "Never Give Up." :D That was my favorite because I just know our determination is going to take us really far. I look forward to sharing and getting to know you more as well as our new members too! 8)
