sue i'm so excited you have at least 4 follies!!! and you never know what those other 2 will do too :) those are wonderful numbers... fingers crossed and that 'punctured ovary' case must have been an unusual thing and very unlikely to happen again to anyone else soon... and as long as they get your eggies- i know you'll deal with any pain or discomfort like any of us determined women would :) keep us posted!!

Just returned from egg collection. 3 eggs. I was hoping for 4--but at my age am pleased with getting 3! I always got 4 eggs on my previous cycles--but I was two years younger then!

So feeling hopeful. And so happy the new Doc (who botched my friend's collection) switched schedules and it was one of my favourite female doctor who did the procedure--so felt very relieved and relaxed on the table!

Now I just hope all three fertilize. feeling sore inside and still woozy from the meds. Gonna nap now. Thank you all for your support.

I am actully trying for number 3 now. I did two IVFs and have two wonderful daughters. It feels very strange to be doing it all over again. I read these boards a lot during my first cycle. My second one went very fast and for some reason I could tell I was pregnant very early so I never got on here. I usually read, but do not post. I am hoping that going for three isn't pressing my luck. I had to have emergency surgery after my c-section after I had my 2nd girl and my ob tells me that most people do not have 2 ivfs and get 2 babies. Hoping I can be 3 for 3.

LYD- so sorry to hear about your bfn. I am really a little nervous about jumping back in again. Welcome Daisy! You are lucky for sure to get 2 babies out of 2 IVF's. We went through 6 cycles to get 1 miracle little boy! Good luck trying for number 3.
After 7 attempts (2 negatives/3 miscarriages), we have TWO miracle boys!! If you would like to hear our story, please visit http://www.ivfsuccessstories.info. Never give up, it can happen for you!!

LYD-sorry about your BFN glad you are trying again soon.

SueQiWi-3 eggs is fine....it only takes one. Can't wait to hear your fertilization report.

Karen-thanks for checking in. I am doing OK, can't believe it is 3 months since my m/c.
AFM I am hoping that this FET isn't too soon after my m/c. The hysteroscopy/ D&C went well 3 weeks ago. I did have retained products. I am on lupron now and just added estrogen pills on Monday....FET scheduled for July 6th! I am transferring 5 day 3 embryos. Only 2 of them are good quality.

Hope everybody else is doing well. Have a great weekend.

Hiya-- am super disappointed as only 2 eggs fertilized! Am feeling a bit down and hoping the news is good tomorrow morning when the embryologist calls. It just seems like our chances of success are dwindling and they weren't very high to start.

Hoping in NC--I am excited that you will have your FET soon. So impressed that you have 5 frozen embies!! That seems promising to me--even though some may appear to be marginal quality.

Welcome to Daisy. Wow--2 for 2!! That is fantastic!! we did 3 rounds to get our sweet girl. Glad you are joining us and hope for your third success.

Sue- Hi! Hoping those two that fertilized are super duper ones! For my last cycle (which produced my darling son), only 2 embies made it to transfer, but the embryologist thought it'd be twins, they were that good! Well, we got my son, I guess one was even more super than the other :). When is your transfer? Keep us posted!

As for me, DH just injected me with my first Puregon shot, and I go for blood test and US on Thurs. morning to see what's doing egg-wise. I'll try to hurry up and grow my eggs so we can celebrate BFP's together ;)

Hope everyone is resting and calm this evening...

Later!

I'm super scared now as we are down to one embryo! One of the two that fertilized did not divide properly. My transfer is this morning at 11:30 and I am so scared that there will be nothing to transfer. Feeling worried and sad.

Shari thanks for your words of encouragement. I hope I do have that one magnificent embie! Good luck with starting puregon and keep us posted.

Sue-
Come on super embie, do your stuff for mama! When I had my transfer last time, I tried relaxing as much as possible after. I imagined my embies (or in your case 'super embie') breathing and snuggling and sticking tight. Well, not sure what made him stick, but positive imagery can't hurt :). Good luck, I am saying a prayer right now for a positive outcome!
Big hugs :D

So our embie did make it and the other decided to divide afterall! But even though we had two embies in the end--one was only a 6-cell and one a 5-cell. So I'm not feeling very confident about this at all : ( It would be a major miracle to get pregnant off these embies! Feeling a bit down, but know I need to keep my chin up if we are to have a hope at all. Does anybody know anyone who got pregnant from a 6-cell embryo?

I worry that my age is a real factor here as we always had two 8-cell embryos on day 3 on all my previous cycles. I feel like my eggs are just not as strong with fewer eggs collected, less fertilization and slower division. Alas. I gave my girl big hugs--I treasure her so much.

Hi Sue - sorry it took me so long to reply! Just remember that it only takes one. I think that DD was one of our 6 cell embies so yours may just be running behind too.

FSH was wonderful - 5.5! That's better even than any of my previous cycles. So I have lots of good eggs - my issue is my polyp and wonky vitamin D and progesterone levels. We qualify for a research study that uses genetic screening (like PGD only they screen all 46 chromosomes) that put the success rate all the way up at 72-74%. Really hopeful about that.

Hi Sue-
Same here, sorry for the delay in reply... My keyboard is broken, so typing this out on iPhone. I know the feeling of wanting embies to be just perfect, but try to stay positive. Your mind is grabbing hold of the negative and blowing it up. Fact is, you got 2 embies, and I am praying they stick stick stick! Pulling for the little cuties! :)

Hope u r feeling well... Treat yourself gently...
