LYD10, I've been thinking about you too! How are you liking your new job? I know learning something new will certainly help pass the time. I will be cheering in July for you, we've been through so much together!

Moorebaby, sounds like you have some nice vacation plans lined up with visiting some family in Ga. Va beach sounds like it will be a blast too! Hopefully you are packing alot or shopping for new clothes up there b/c two whole weeks away is just fabulous! Get plenty of R&R because your biggest plans are happening in July!

Michel212, I hope you are feeling much better from having a cold. That's crazy that your computer got a virus too from downloading a website on "colds." Talk about the irony! I like surfing WebMD for stuff like that. Dh is good about keeping our computer's updated with Norton virus protection, he knows more about that computer stuff then I ever desired to. Wow, work and college and IVF you sound so busy, time is sure to fly! What are you studing?


Nancy and RMB, I am counting the days down with you both. I wanted to ask you what is PIO? I think it's great that we learn so much from each other. I have no family/friends in Florida going through this so it's very nice that I can ask away on here.We're never alone!

Dreams2009, G/L tomorrow with the progesterone level check. I think it's great that your clinic does that! July 1st will be here before you know it girl, AND glad you don't have to wait until after the holidays.

Blue, keep doctoring those hives, you might want to let the doctor know if it's not better by Monday, but if the itching gets worse overnight maybe call him in the morning, we wouldn't want you to be uncomfortable over the weekend.

AFM: Five more days, cannot decide if I should test early, dh is so against me doing that but the anticipation is killing me.

Sunshine.... I won't lie, I'd be POS every 5 minutes. I need to feel like I have some control over a situation and going in for a beta blind would be nerve wracking for me personally. Kinda like not knowing the gender of your baby, lol. Oh, and PIO is a progesterone oil shot. Some RE's give it by injection and others in a suppository form. Mine does suppositories because he says the shots are torturous and the vaginal suppositories literally put the progesterone right where it needs to be so it doesn't have to travel through your body like the shots. All are different though.... Just like preferring one brand of meds over another.

Hey, what have you ladies heard about accupuncture prior to and after ET? My RE's office provides it at an additional cost before and after ET, and RE even said that he has personally noticed a SLIGHT increase in pregnancy rates, but either way it was my choice. I'm not against it... I have daily migraines and tried it for a few months to help eleviate them (Didn't do much good). SO... I am taking a poll from you wonderful and intelligent women.

KBanks- I'm doing acupuncture as a part of my treatment but it isn't thru my clinic. I'm seeing a private practitioner who specializes in fertility. I went the day I took hcg before ER, then again on transfer day, and I'll go back one week from transfer. It's supposed to be helpful but who knows! I'm doing all I can do to make this work.

Sunshine- Yeah, I'll call the dr in the morning. I didn't ask my nurse about it today because I thought it was done as I hadn't gotten any new ones, but no dice. I have at least 5 more now that are showing this evening. I was too busy finding out the grades of the embryos.

We tranferred two AA and froze two more AA and one AB. I'm hopeful that's a good sign! Ok. Off to care for my hives. Yeah.

They give two letter ratings if the embies go to blastocyst. They measure two parts because they are now over 100 cells. I don't remember the names of those parts but I think one is what will become the fetus and the other is what will be the placenta.

Ladies - Hello! This will be short, back to work today.

We transfered 1 excellent blasto. Makes me nervous, but hopefully it will stick! Here is where is gets gross - I have been constipated and it finally decided to come after I had my transfer. Now I am a NERVOUS wreck my embie escaped. UGH!!!

I woke up last night in terrible pain and bleeding really heavy it was like someone had turned a tap on.

The hospital have still asked me test on the 26th thinks its just making the hurt drag on.

Hope everything works out for everyone and thank for all your support over the last few days.

Got the offical BFN word today. Still bleeding, but I know it's not AF just yet. Who know what this is. Have an app this Thursday. Going to try again this cycle. However, have been really starting to consider donor eggs since of the 12 eggs recieved only one was able to be transfered..... we will know more after Thursday I guess.

Good luck to the rest of you ladies. I really hope you all get your BFP!!! I am going to try to get my mind off this over the weekend. Heading out with the girls tom night and the DH on Sunday night .... I will be turing 30 AHHHH!!!! Oh well I can blame the break downs on that I guess...

Kerri- It's too funny you mentioned the bathroom issue. My embryologist talked about that at my transfer.

She described the uterus as a usable space. Until it is being used, it resembles a bagel with cream cheese. So the walls are closed in and the lining is filling up the space. Once the embryo is transferred it won't fall out. She gave us the visual of sticking a nickel in the cream cheese, putting the bagel together, and then shaking it. The nickel won't fall out. Such a strange visual but I guess it works!

I'm going to the dr to get some progesterone vaginal pills to try. Hopefully my hives will be relieved after this.

Akdelp - Congrats!!! Can't wait to hear your beta results!!! And don't worry about your embies escaping. I know how you feel though. I felt the same way the first two times around!

Kbanks - i am also doing acupuncture! He specializes in infertility and has a high success rate. I went with one cause it has helped for two people that I know that have gone through it. I have been going every week.

AFM - This has got to be the most dreadfull time period. I think it is a lot harder than the 2WW after transfer, prob cause I got such an early BFP on HPt,but waiting for the ultrasound is driving me absolutely INSANE!!! I only have 5 more days, but cannot wait! The fact that my ultrasounds have yet to turn out positive is also what's making me nervous and anxious! Ugggghhh!

Akdelp - Don't worry. Your embie can't escape. Our embryologist said there's nothing we can do to make ours escape. Which is good she brought it up because I was worried it would come out when I finally had the chance to use the bathroom after transfer. Oh the crazy things we think of.

Debaro - So sorry to hear about your bleeding. How are you doing now?

X - Sorry about the BFN

RNB - But...at least you got the BFP!! Keep telling yourself that and the u/s date will get here sooner than you think. Isn't it funny how much time we all wait with this process?

AFM....I'm trying to be patient. We are going to Victoria BC tomorrow morning and don't get back until Sunday evening. That will definitely help to make the time go by. I'm still torn on whether to test before I go in for blood work on July 2. I think I might test Thursday. I have a couple tests at home. I think I want to know if it's a bfn before the blood work. So I'm prepared.

DH & I talked last night about if this doesn't work what are next steps are and everything. We both know that it will take lots of saving up before we can do IVF again. And adoption will take quite some time. We still have our fingers & toes crossed.
