Rio - You look FABULOUS!! I'm so glad you posted new belly shots! At almost 35 weeks you don't have too many more belly shots to take. Pretty soon we'll be seeing pics of your little girl, YAY!!

Keep those belly shots coming ladies! We all love them. :D

Rio- your bump is gorgeous! So funny...I have been on this site following you now for ages and I always imagined you as a brunette. Funny how we imagine people with little to go on... and are usually way off!

AFM- I feel great today! Only a teenie bit nauseous and tired. Glad of it because I am watching my toddler niece alone this morning before we take off on a four hour ride to attend my first ever Tigers game tomorrow. Still...it does freak me out a little to feel so good. :-) Its always something!

Sorry for being absent. Things have been somewhat busy for me. DD left last weekend to go to Atlanta to see family and friends. She's coming home on July 9. I hope she makes it home before the boys come. I had an unexpected scare last week. We had a late dinner and I was just not feeling great. I started having weird kinda like cramps. I laid down and they got worse. I thought maybe gas or was laying wrong. I got up to go to the bathroom and could barely walk. Called the dr and went to L&D. It was late about 10:30. I was in so much pain that I wasn't sure if I was having contractions. Soon as I got there, they hooked me up and immediately gave me the tributaline shot. The babies were good. My cervix was 3. I stayed for a couple hours and then went home and took procardia every 4 hrs. I was fine the next day. I saw my OB later that week and my cervix was still 3 and my FNN was neg.

Then on Thursday this week, I go to my MFM and it stared off well. The babies are doing greAt . They both weigh 4lbs 15 on.
problem is that my cervix is now 2.2. They sent me yo L&D immediately. The change was pretty significant for a week. They monitored me and wasn't contracting too much. They gave me a steroid shot to develop their lungs if they come early. I went again yesterday for another shot and for the non stress test. It was uneventful and i just came home. Now I am just taking it easy and procardia as needed. Trying to keep them in for as long as possible. My OB said that after 35 wks that I wouldn't do anything to stop contracting and we would go from there.

As for the weight gain. I've gained 27lbs and am doing fine. My OB said it was better as long as the babies growth is good and ours are. I saw where someone was concerned because of the book, what to expect when pregnant with multiple. I have that book too and worried just the same. Truth is, its hard to eat lot with twins. You get full so fast especially when you start to get big and uncomfortable. So don't worry about your number, only the babies growth.

We have been working on names for sometime. Its not easy. I think that it will be Maddox Penn and nd McCoy Scott. Scott is family name for him. Our last name starts with M too. The struggle has been that he wants yhe same first letter and I don't think it matters. I wanted McCoy as a middle name because its a family name for me and he likes it as a first. They both sound good with our last name. I like Maddox Penn and Ryker McCoy. Looks like he'll get his wish since he's been calling them by his names for 2 months and i've now started liking it. Plus.....i am too tired to focus on a new one. I've been over our lists and these are the finalists anyway. What do you ladies think? Is McCoy odd for a first name. DH seems to think we'll call him Coy anyway....which I do like lot.

okay.....enough about me. I will attempt personals. I have been reading, just a pain type on the IPAD.

Steph........CONGRATILATIONS on a fabulous delivery! Your boys couldn't be more gorgeous or perfect :D :D You've got to be glowing with pride.

Sonya......looks like you are next! Sending you positive thoughts for an easy delivery. :D

Klinger & Bunny......how are you ladies? You must both be so anxious and ready to go! Thinking of you both!

Ryan.......so glad to hear that Bella is ok. I sometimes panic when baby a (Maddox) is quiet because he started out as the most active. Now that they have gotten bigger he is on bottom and cramped. As soon as I start to wonder he'll get the hiccups or get moving. They both move so much now that it wakes me up and is now uncomfortable. But I wouldn't have it any other way. Gives me peace of mind knowing their active and healthy. Your little ones are growing perfectly too! Your bump pics are so cute.

Rio.....Love your bump pic! You are coming right along! Getting so close!

Margi........are you still on Bedrests? Thought I read your bleed stopped. Hoping it stopped finally and you can move around a little more. Being on Bedrezt sucks so bad!

anna....so glad to hear the procardia is working and your cervix is holding!

leorirA.......you scored on the stroller! Happy to hear your babies are growing nicely! Breathe......theyre going to be fine!

mellow........so happy miss marlo is doing well! What an angel! :)

lou......don't fret over your shower. I know.... I agree....people suck! Be happy and grateful to the ones that do attend. Hopefully some of their plans will change and you will have a good turnout. I can relate to the change the date suggestion. I was livid when his sister asked us to change our wedding date because her daughter was turning 16 that day and was going to do a local fashion show. I was so pissed!! People have nerve! It was a great day for us without the 16 yr old and her dad. They came to the reveption. Yours will be great too! Celebrate the miracle of being pregnant with Chloe. None ofyhe other BS matters. You are so blessed and no one can take that feeling from you and DH. It will be a good day! :D

Sorry I know i missed some of you. I am reading and praying for all of you. Now that i've written a book. I will try update more.

have a great weekend!

Sonya/Happy Bunny - you girls are so close! I can't wait to see pictures of your babies!

Karin1 - sorry about the scare but so glad to hear the babies are fine, my oB said the same after 35 weeks they don't try to stop anymore and deliver. How do you like your new house and the new location? I hope you are settled in nicely!

Amanda - I love the psychedelic shirt! Love your bump! I have been asking DH to take pics forever so I just did it myself real quick I still would like some nicer ones taken, I am so bruised up though! Photoshop! You are so very close now!

Blissful - so funny, everyone thinks that, I grew up in BRazil and everyone is mostly brunette but my dad was american and my mom is german! It is funny how we have an idea of looks from reading on! Glad you feel good enjoy while you can BUT stop before you do too much, that is always my problem, I feel good then do too much and feel bad, so take it easy a bit too!
Your body is doing a lot right now!

Mellow - thank you! So glad Miss Marlo is almsot a 3 pounder! Love the snuggle pics!

Kjm - thanks! I just got mine yesterday! Yum eat some fruit for me! Love your bump pic!

Annas - good job on no contractions and 31 weeks!

Taking DS to a birthday party and trying to stay comfortable, had some low cramps yesterday and strong contractions but nothing worth calling, 35 weeks today so we are good to go! I doubt I will make it to my c-sec on 7/26 but I hope so!

Hello everyone!!! It has been a while but I have been reading at least once a week and cheering all of you on. Life has been extremely busy so I have not had time to post much.

Stephanie - :D :D Your little ones are absolutely amazing. CONGRATULATIONS!!!

Sonya: My due date buddy! Congrats about losing your mucus plug. You will be in active labor in no time and holding your little one so soon. SOOOOO happy for you!!! :D

AFM: Looks like I'm going to be induced this Thursday evening. It is a few days before my due date but my OB feels due to the size of my little guy, it would make sense. I'm also approximately 70% effaced and a few cm dilated already so they feel that once they begin the first part of induction, I will go quickly. I will definitely update as things progress.

I know I have not been very active on this board but I want each and every one of you to know how important you have been in this process. Every post from each of you kept me going. Even if I was reading and cheering in the wings!

Thanks again for all of your support. You all are such a great group of ladies! :D

SD: Good to hear from you..sorry about your sweet stash..sounds like you need a new hidey spot. 22 weeks tomorrow--yeah! :)

Amanda: Love the belly picture--you look great!! Psychedelic or otherwise. LOL.

Anna: Yeah for no contractions and super yea for 31 weeks. 8)

Ryann: Doing ok?

Kelley: Enjoy your weekend and enjoy your fruit! :D

Rio: Gorgeously round bump! Love it!! :D 35 weeks tomorrow...woohoo..and my OB nurse called and said my OB called my work and extended my bed rest through 7/25. So if all is well I can go back to work for my b-day and your induction! Enjoy the birthday party--but take it easy.

Alisa: Enjoy the time with your niece and the Tiger’s game...don’t over do--especially in the heat.

Karin: So sorry for the scare--but very glad things are going ok now. You poor dear. Take it easy...and thanks for advice regarding the weight gain, and I think Maddox and McKoy (or Ryker) work nicely. Coy is very cute. And yes, I am still on bed rest. Sigh. It has been almost 12 weeks. It does stink indeed. :-( I heard from my OB nurse yesterday that I am on bed rest until 7/26 at least. (That is my birthday and Rio’s induction date!!)

Sonya/Barbara: Any day now indeed!! I imagine these last few weeks/days feel slow to you, but your gorgeous LO's will be here soon!! Can't wait!!

Kaylie: Wow..Thursday is the day!! How very exciting!! So many babies on this thread!! Best of luck, hope all goes smoothly.

Gina- How exciting to start a "2011/2012 parents after treatment" thread for us! Crazy how many of us are having babies already! July is going to be a busy month! Your boys are SOOOOO cute! I hope mine are at least HALF as cute! :D

Ryann- So sorry that baby girl scared you like that, but SOOOO happy she's okay! Almost 32 weeks - you are doing so well! I hope bed rest isn't driving you too crazy!

nwquiz - actually, waiting for a single u/s at 20 weeks is the norm in a healthy, singleton pregnancy. We IVFers are just really spoiled with lots and lots of early u/s! Everyone hates when they switch to their OB and stop getting the weekly u/s! I now have a 3 weeks break between u/s and it's killing me!

Lou - UGH. I'm sorry people are being obnoxious about your shower. My birthday is smack-dab in the middle of the summer, and my mom always organized a party for right before school started, since people are always sooooo flaky about plans in the summer time.

Amanda - FULL TERM! That is so exciting! I'm sure you are feeling uncomfortable, but it's crazy to think that she'll be here in less than 2 weeks!

Kat - 12 weeks! What a great milestone!

Kelley - you look great! Good luck on your glucose test!

Stephanie - SOOOOO CUTE! They are sooo adorable! I'm sure life is crazy at the moment - but enjoy it!

SD - my DH knows that if he takes something from the kitchen without asking (especially FINISHING something!), he risks the wrath of the pregnant wife - which is not to be messed with! :D (luckily we have a 24-hour mart just around the corner, so he can 'apologize' with replacements!)

Barbara -- still pregnant?

Rio - you look great! (just curious -- where do you live that you are still wearing LONG sleeved shirts? :D)

Karin - sorry you had a L&D scare - but 34 weeks is great for twins - they'll be fine whenever they are born. I like the idea of "M&M" twins names! :D

Kaylie - Thursday! Yay! That's so exciting! Do you know if the baby is a boy or a girl - or are you waiting until Thursday?

Margi - bedrest until at least July 26th? That's hard. I'm sorry. But just think - it's only a few months - and then the twins will keep you so busy you'll never get to rest again!

AFM - I started feeling movement! YAY! What a huge huge huge relief. Not all the time, but definite pokes/jabs when I lie down at night, and sometimes during the day. The "wiggle worms" seem to be wiggling away! Q for other twin moms --- how do you tell who is who? I think I have to wait until further along. I don't even know where they are lying for now!

I'm coming up to the point in my pregnancy when I lost my last twins. I'm 20w5d today.... I'm thinking that last time, I had 1 more week until things went to hell ( water broke at 21w6d) and I had *NO* idea I had only a week left being pregnant.... I'm just trying to relax and get through the next few weeks. I'm super excited for my anatomy scan next Thursday (7/7) - and that 22+wk mark!

on a side note (just because it's really really REALLY annoying me!) - we hosted a dinner party on Friday night. While cleaning up, I broke my FAVORITE serving dish.... and cut my finger on the glass while cleaning it up! Now my right pinkie finger is all wrapped up with a giant bandage... :( Oh well...

Hi ladies! I have a surprise. My beautiful daughter, Gemma Grace, was born early Friday morning weighing 6 lbs and 19.5 inches long. Being that she arrived at 34w3d she is in the NICU for a little help breathing. She is very strong and healthy. I feel so incredibly blessed to have my little miracle. It so surreal and hard to believe even when I hold her and look at her. I will post a pic when I get home. Please send us prayers and positive vibes for her to continue to gain strength. Xoxo Karen

Karen - CONGRATULATIONS on the arrival of Gemma Grace!! Definitely sending prayers and positive thoughts that she's able to leave the NICU soon. I'm just over the moon that your TAC held up to get all the way past 34 weeks. She's a good size too for a 34 weeker so great job mama! Enjoy every minute with your miracle girl and I can't wait to see pics! :D

Leora - YAY for feeling movement now!! I know you've been waiting as patiently as possible for that with those anterior placentas of yours, so I'm glad you'll be be able to keep tabs on the LO's now with their movements. I can't wait to hear twin mom's responses to your questions because I always wondered how you can tell which twin is jabbing you too. And OUCH on the pinkie finger, not nice!

Kaylie - Good to hear from you and good luck on Thursday! Please post your birth story and pics after the big event.

Rio - Congrats on hitting 35 weeks! You're in the homestretch now and I agree...I don't know that you're going to make it to that 7/26 date either.

Karin - So glad to hear from you and welcome to the Procardia club! I'm so glad to hear your boys' weights are looking really good and you got the steroid shots for their lungs in case they arrive early. Hopefully that cervix will stop changing and the boys will stay put a bit longer but at least if they came in the next few weeks they'd do well. And I like all of the names you've chosen!

Kelley - Hope you make it through your fruit-free day today ok. My biggest craving during this pregnancy has been fruit so when I first got diagnosed with GD I was so upset cutting out fruit. But as I've been testing my glucose levels 4x a day, I've found that fruits don't spike my sugar much so I've been able to add them back into snacks & meals in moderation. Hopefully your GD test tomorrow will go great!

Hope everyone is having a great weekend! I'm just counting down the # of sleeps until we meet our LO. 11 sleeps to go LOL :D

Ladies I'm doing this on my phone from memory....

Karen....CONGRATS on welcoming Gemma!!!! What a beautiful name and a great weight! I will send all the prayers and good vibes I have! I can't wait to see her :)

leora....I didn't start feeling my twins until after my anatomy scan. At the anatomy scan they pretty much showed me who was laying where. He even went as far as to say "if you feel movement in this area it's baby a, and here it's baby b." Even that can be tricky though, because, as you all know, when Bella changed positions on me I ended up in L&D freaking out a bit. Now that I know their new positions I can pretty much tell again. But I have 4 little feet all packed into the same area, snack dab in the center, right below my boobs....so movement there I just assume they're playing footsie!
