What Did You Do?

I am looking for advice of what might have worked for you. On my first IVF transfer I stayed laying down for the 3hrs back home. I then stayed in bed or on the couch for a couple of days. I also had accupuncture before and after. I know they say it is not neccesary to do these things but It worked for me. The 2nd time I lived life as usual and worked in the yard and what ever else came along the next week or so. I did do accupuncture again. However this time did not take. I was wondering if anyone would want to share what they did after and the following weeks till the test that produced a positive.

I have gone through IVF on three separate occasions. The two times that it worked for me, I took at least five days off from work to rest. So I didn’t lift anything heavy or stressful during the five days. The one time that it didn’t work, I didn’t take any time off from work either. I am a true believer in the relaxing after transfers. I also had a massage before the transfers with positive results. I wish you good luck for your next transfer!

I just followed my doctors recommendations. Which were bedrest for three days following the transfer, no heavy lifting or sex until the heartbeat was seen, etc. I know these things probably do not make a difference, but I did not want to go against my doctor's orders. It probably just came down to luck for your first two cycles. Many people have perfect cycles that end in a bfn and some people have cycles that do not go well and end in a bfp. Hope all goes well for you! We will hopefully be trying for number two soon as well. It took us 6 total cycles to get our DS, so we are hoping for a much quicker miracle this time!

We were only told to not have intercourse for 2 weeks and nothing more strenuous then your normal activity. That was it. So I was looking for more info.

I hope I can do bed rest this time. I want to know I did all I could. I will still have to lift my son though. He is 20 months.

I think all of the information is great and it is heart warming to read little things that others have tried.

I think it helps to hear all the little or big things and know your not alone.

When you get a positive HCG and ultimatley a baby it is because if a healthy embryo(s) not becuase of laying down in a certain position or routine, good luck

Well here it goes transferred 1 frozen yesterday . I hope this is the one. It is our last chance do to not having any more money to spend. I pray this little fights to stay. I am so in love with it already.

Decided to do bed rest for day of transfer and 4 days after. Then took it easy for next 5 days till blood test on Thursday. Got a BFP
We are so happy. Still worried and ill be for a while.
