Hi Everyone!!

Glad to see all those beautiful babies. Steph can't believe those twins are so big and you delivered vaginally. Way to go.

Good Luck to all those that will be in labor soon. Looks like this board will be rockin with babies in the next few weeks.

AFM - i have my anatomy scan late Thursday afternoon. I can't wait to see my little baby again. Gosh it has to be huge compared to the last u/s and 12 weeks. I am gonna say its probably a girl because everyone I know says its gonna be a boy. I think because i was always a tom boy and still would rather hang out with guys then girls no one can imagine me with a little girl. haha We will see.. I'm still feeling pretty OK. Still wearing my regular clothes.. YEY!! That's not gonna last too long. I am starting to feel really big. Won't say humongous cus I have a long way to go. almost to the halfway point.

Rio - You are looking awesome!! Sounds like your DS is going to make an excellent big brother!! Also thanks for all the info on GD diet in your other posts. I failed my test today. I will do the 3 hour test Thursday but I think I will just start up on your diet anyway. Questions though - I am a physical therapist so during the day I dont really get breaks for snacks, it is just what I can shove in my mouth between patients - cut fruit has worked great. But with the diet would it be better to try and get some protein in at the same time? Like a piece of cheese and a piece of fruit?

Karenscopio - Congrats on Gemma Grace's arrival. Beautiful name. Praying for both of your health and her growth.

Blissful - Enjoy feeling good - look at it as a blessing.

Karin1 - I like Coy - it will stand out but not being over the top.

Freckles - Good luck on Thursday.

Margi - Sorry about the extended bed rest - but what a great birthday present.

Leora - I am so glad you are starting to feel them move - It is very reassuring. I am never sure who is who. On my last US the little girl was more on the left and the boy on the right so I assume that is still true but I asked my OB today and he said that they could shift and be in different positions. I just look for feeling movement in different areas that couldn't possibly be the same one.

Ryann- You still look so great for having twins - I am so jealous. Wow Dylan is a space hog!!! Loved the picture. What kind of stroller did you get. I had not seen the stroller bassinet combo option. I am looking at a pack and play that will hold 2 bassinets for early on.

Klinger - 10 more sleeps to go for you!!

AnnaHope - Congrats on getting the nursery done. Glad you had fun on the beach - sounds great.

Karian - Yay for being part of team pink. You are looking great!

Sonya - Sounds like your house may be ready in time for you baby. Take care of yourself and try and rest. Hopefully you will meet your son soon.

SD - great picture - your DS is adorable.

Barbara - Gook luck tomorrow (or Wed). Post pics when you get a chance. I am so excited for you. Will be praying for a safe and healthy delivery.

To have fun - Gook luck and enjoy your ant scan!

AFM: I failed my glucose test today. I will have to do the 3 hour test on Thursday. I am just going to start following Rio's diet plan - she has made it so easy for us. I also will start seeing the OB every 2 weeks now. I got scolded - kinda - that I need to call with any little complaint - actually he said cry wolf. He knows I am not much of a complainer and I have a high pain tolerance from the ectopic I went through last May. But I still feel really good...

Hope everyone else is doing good. What an exciting month this is with all the babies being born!!

Kjm...sorry you didn't pass the glucose test :( bummer! Our stroller is the EasyWalker Duo. The bassinets were seperate. I looked into the pack and play for twins too, but they only make it in one color, tan, and all of our decor is black and white. I know, silly. We ended up getting Moses baskets and the rockers to put them in for our room. We had to get the bassinets for the stroller because we ended up going with a different carseat than the one that goes with the stroller (Maxi Cosi). It's going to be a pain for sure, but it jus ended up being what worked for us!

Kat- I will have to check the pic from another computer…my work one isn’t letting me see it.

Rio- What a cute little belly pic!!! Glad you are doing well and made it to 35 wks!!

Karin- Glad that it was just a scare and the boys are still doing well and weigh almost 5 lbs each. Hopefully they can get your labor stopped and keep your cervix at 2.2. I love the names you have picked out!!

Ryann- I love the stroller that you all have picked out. And I really enjoyed your drawing of how they are laying. Every time you talk about Dylan I picture him in there with his arms back behind his head and feet propped up- just relaxing.

Leora- Yeaa for feeling the boys move around. Im sure its reassuring to know they are both ok when you feel them moving around every now and then. Stay positive and know you will be bringing these boys home!! Sorry you broke your favorite serving dish though.

Karenthescorpio- Congrats on baby Gemma Grace!! Even though shes early she sounds like shes doing very well. Hopefully you can bring her home in no time.

Anna- Glad you got a chance to sneak out of the house for a little bit. I cant wait to see pics of the nursery!! Just keep laying around so Paul continues to chunk up and get ready for his debut.

Karian- What a cute little belly!! Im sure September will be here before you know it so you can meet your little girl.

Sonya- Sorry youre having so much pain/discomfort. Its exciting that you are wrapping up the renovations and are putting the final touches on everything.

SD- What a great picture of you and your little one. You look great!!

Happy Bunny- Hopefully you have already been induced and have Brooke here with you. I cant wait to see pictures!

Amanda- Stinks that you had 10 hrs of contractions but they didn’t decide to get regular. Hopefully sooner or later they will get normal and youll have that baby.

Fun- How exciting that your anatomy scan is coming up soon. Im sure youre dying to know what your little one is!! And since you haven’t seen your little one since 12 weeks Im sure it will be crazy to see how different he/she looks. Keep us posted.

Kjm- Sorry that you failed the glucose test and have to do the 3 hr. Hopefully the diet plan will help and you wont have to do anything too extreme.

AFM- Went back to MFM for US and Cervix Check. Both babies are looking great still. Both are weighing around 3 oz and are measuring right on track (a day or 2 ahead). The US tech said she cant give a definitive gender since its still early but from the looks of things we have at least 1 girl and the other baby made her “suspicious” she said- I guess because shes thinking he may be a boy. So I believe we either have one of each or 2 girls. Of course I could have cared less but was so excited just to see how healthy they were. Heart rates were 143 and 145 which is 20 beats slower than last apt but Ive read that they slow down some after the first few months so I assume its fine. No weight gain over the past 2 wks but they weren’t worried since the babies look great. My cervix looked to be long and closed which was good news. Back in 2 weeks for another US and cervix check.

Quick question for the girls on Colace (docusate) how much are you taking and is it the 100 or 50 pills? Do you take them all at once before bed time or space them out? For the girls ready to give birth I strongly recommend taking Colace even if you have no constipation issues now. Sorry for TMI but going potty after my c-sec last time was one of the worst experiences :( took me 5 days and hurt like crazy :(

Rio I take Colace 100 in the morning and evening 1 tab. In the morning I take it on an empty stomach with an 8 oz of prune juice.

AFM cervix check today and yay no change at all still 1.8 to 2cm and all is great. We got to see baby Paul for a moment and he has chubby checks and lots of long hair :) Next cervix check in 1 week.

Klinger- Wow you are soo close. 11 days will fly by hopefully with the holiday weekend.

Kaylie- Good luck on Thursday.

Karin1- Sorry about the care but so glad everythign turned out ok.

Riogrl-That was so cute of your son. I love when they are little.

Leora-That's awesome you are feeling the baby's move.

Karenthescorpio-Congratulations on Gemme Grace. Can't wait to see pictures of her.

Annashope-Thatis awesome you got apeak and everythign is looking good.

Karian-What a cute belly you have!

Dandandme-Hopefully your son decides to make an entrance soon. Are you sleeping at all?

SDtrying- Love the pic of you and your son. He's so adorable.

Happy Bunny-Hoping they decided to induce you this afternoon. Praying for a nice easy delivery for you.

Rypell-Love your strollers and cute belly pic. Your so tiny for carrying twins. You are lucky.

Kjm1824-Sorry you didn't pass the gluclose test :(

To-have-fun- Can't wait to hear what the baby is.

Sorry if I missed anyone. AFM not too much going on. I finally went out and bought maturnity clothes. I've got such a short torso and I carry low that there was no way to keep wearing my regular clothes. But I did get some cute stuff at Destination Maternity and the customer service there was unbelievable. They even had the fake belly there so you could put it on to make sure your clothes would fit you even with a bigger belly.

Kat- the baby is beautiful! How fun that you are switching to maternity clothes. I started wearing mine Friday, and I am not even 10 weeks yet. I had already gained 6 pounds to help get my BMI into the perfect fertility zone prior to starting this cycle so I started at a bit of a disadvantage. So far I love the clothes, so comfy. But I am told I will grow to hate them and will want to burn them when it is all said and done.

Blair- Yay for continued great news! The heart rate does slow as they get bigger so it sounds perfectly normal to me. In fact mine was in the 160s today and it was 186 just last week. The tech said it will slow a little as things progress.

AFM- Had my first OB appointment today (the long one!). It was my first belly ultrasound and I loved it. So much easier than the vaginal ultrasound. The baby was just wiggling away and is now measuring a day ahead. We are just 9 1/2 weeks but we went public today anyway. I feel a little strange about sharing the news so early, but we had a couple of trusted friends who turned out to be a little less trustworthy than we thought so we needed to spill the bean about our bean to those people in our lives that are important to us before someone else did. I have a very good feeling about it though. And what fun to share!

FYI- things are a little quiet on the 2012 board, but I am sure it will pick up. Glad you ladies are here and willing to let me crash every now and again. :-)

Hi ladies! This question is mainly posed to those about to give birth...ARE YOU FREAKING OUT AS MUCH AS I AM????  I never thought I would be this nervous. I am so very excited to meet my son but I am questioning everything. Even my marriage. I have been having thoughts such as, "I hope I'm a good Mom" "I hope my husband will still find me attractive." "What if he gets sick of me and the baby and decides to leave us." "What if labor is so bad I can't handle it." I'm typically a strong woman but lately (with the hormones) and my induction scheduled for Thursday, I am a friggin basket case! :?

Is anyone else struggling to find peace within these last few weeks? Maybe it is the lack of sleep as well. I think I get about an hour a night. I'm so wired but in the same exact breath....EXHAUSTED. Sorry for the rant but I'm losing my mind. I hope my son can't feel this anxiety.

I hope all of you are doing well. I read and pray for all of you every day.

Kaylie :D

Kaylie

I think what you are going through is completely normal and we all feel it to some degree. I too question if I will be a good mom to two kids vs 1 or mainly I worry about money which is so silly since we are fine but I understand I constantly worry about whether we will be able to afford everything and things like that. I think you are right part of it has to be hormones and part of it is the lack of sleep. As you can see by this post it is 6 am and I have been up for a couple of hours already...cannot sleep more that 4-5 hours at a time.

Please try to take it 1 day at a time. I felt the same way (really nervous) when I was having my son and what helped me not worry about labor is writing down a plan about how I wanted the entire labor and delivery to go and then praying and meditating and visualizing it. To be completely honest it gave me so much peace and when that time came I had a very easy labor exactly like I had written down and meditated/prayed about. It definitely took away that helpless feeling. The worrying about husband leaving is natural too I mean we all look a bit different now...lol but I have noticed that men generally are so amazed with their wives for being able to make them a baby they love us more for it not less...at least that is what my dad and brother tell me as does mu hubby all the time. But secretly I too have fears that I am not as attractive as I was

Good luck with your induction tomorrow we are all here thinking about you and sending you positive energy

Hey all! I didn't get my induction yesterday but we're going in for it in about 12 minutes. I'm nervous about the whole process but at the same time, I'm ready. I'm worried about Brooke... I want so much for her to be healthy and okay during birth.

Take care ladies; see you soon.

Barbara - YAY!!! Good luck with your induction today! All will go great and I can't wait to hear the birth story & see pics of Brooke!

Kaylie - I'm not nervous but I'm a hormonal mess. And it's completely, 100% normal to freak out and be full of doubts, etc. I had my own hormonal meltdown yesterday. It's so common especially during these later stages. You're going to do great with labor and delivery and you'll be a wonderful mama! And hubby is going to think you're the most amazing woman ever when he sees you give birth to your LO. Good luck tomorrow!!!

Kat - Awesome u/s pic (sooo cute!!) and YAY for getting some maternity clothes! I was so much more comfortable once I did that instead of trying to stuff myself into my regular clothes.

Rio - I take 100mg before bed but it's gotten worse in the last week so I think I may need to up my Colace to 2x a day.

Blair - What a great u/s & cervix check you had! Woo-hoo!! So glad everything is looking great with the LO's. And yep, perfectly normal to have those h/b's slow down. Our little one was in the high 160's during those first few u/s and eventually settled into her normal 145-150 range for the rest of the pregnancy.

Kelley - Sorry you failed your GD test. Hopefully you'll pass the 3-hour just fine. (My doc skipped the 3-hour and just had me start testing 4x a day.) And yes, it would be a great idea to add a protein to your snack of cut up fruit - some cheese, handful of nuts, etc. If you do have to start testing your glucose levels down the road, you'll be able to see what foods spike your levels and which don't and at that point you may be able to change up your snacks.

Chris - Good luck with your anatomy scan tomorrow!! Can't wait to hear how it goes!

Sonya - Anything new???

Stephanie - How are you doing? I bet those boys are keeping you busy!
