my cervix check was great today....it was actually longer than the last 3 weeks at 2.2-2.3 cm My ob still wants to do a second round of steroid shots this week but it looks like we will make it to 34 weeks and that's when cervix checks will stop

Amanda you have my thoughts and prayers. Can't wait to see Maribel. I can't believe you ended up only gaining 19 lb..

Also... Sorry to all that I haven't been on much to support you as you've supported me... Having a newborn, recovering from a difficult delivery and having family in town has run me down. As soon as the dust settles, I'll be back on to cheer you all on.

P.S. I love being a mom... Sometimes, I just sit and stare at Brooke while she sleeps. This is truly the most amazing my life has ever been and I'm cherishing every moment.

Hi ladies! Thanks so much for the well wishes! Maribel Jordana arrived today at 12:52pm and is absolutely amazing! She weighed 8.02 pounds and is 20 inches long. She's got tons of long black hair...so adorable!! The c-section went perfectly, she nursed really well in the recovery room, and spent the afternoon with us. But about an hour ago she was doing some snorting and the nurse noticed her retracting when she was breathing. The pediatrician came in and her pulse ox was a bit lower than they'd like. So they've taken her to the NICU and they're doing chest x-rays. They've also put in a nasal canula and started an IV so now I'm just waiting for the lactation consultant to come in to get me pumping. I cried like crazy when they took her to the NICU but I know it's the best thing for her so she doesn't have to struggle any with her breathing. Hopefully she won't be there too long or they can at least wheel me down to see her soon.

She is BEAUTIFUL!!!!! And I swear in that picture with the 3 of you she looks like she is smiling!!! Oh, I am teary and happy for you. I am glad the doctor's are being extra cautious, even though it must be scary--my co-worker's FT big baby boy was in NICU for like 16 hours after birth for breathing stuff, but then all was well. Hope that you get to bring her home soon!!! Heal up....and enjoy your new bundle of joy!!!!

Amanda - Congrats she is adorable. I'm glad the c-section went well. I hope her breathing gets better so she can be back with you. You will continue to be in my prayers for a speedy recovery and for Maribel's breathing to improve. So happy for you. Thank you for updating us so soon!!! Rest up.

Annashope: Glad that your cervix check went well today...woohoo..almost 33 weeks!! Keep on bakin’!!! And, you look adorable!! Love your bump.

Blair: Sorry you are so uncomfortable. There is a lot of stretching that goes on with two LO’s growing in there--believe me!! But, still good to get everything checked out to be safe. What I do for the photos is load to photobucket. Then I can edit and resize the photo to make it smaller. Can’t wait to see your bump!!

Karian: Wow..you are getting into the final stretch yourself!! Time does seem to fly for other people..lol...fun to hear you are in decoration mode!!

Mellow: Dear Marlo...so very sweet indeed. My goodness you are so strong and now to have to deal with moving--half way around the world?!? Take care of yourself...and I hope that you have some help.


SD: Hope that things continue without incident. But still keep yourself alert. Congrats on 23 weeks!! And, yes, we too have a “fairy” around the house. Except that now she is on bed rest so some things are not getting done.

Ryann: Gad that all is well and that you are taking it easy...just a few more weeks and you will be “term” with the twins.

Lou: Glad that you had fun at the concert..and you look terrific! Love your bump

AFM: Not much to report. Increasing my activity seems to be going well. I go to see OB tomorrow. Hoping to get a measure of SCH, but I don't think I am scheduled for an ultrasound and he isn't usually able to measure it with the smaller u/s machine that he has in his examination room...hm. I'm starting to have issues sleeping, but I guess that is only going to get worse so not much to be done about it, huh?

Amanda- She is AMAZING!!!!! You did great mama. Such a beautiful little girl. Prayers and love coming your way...hang in there. I am sure she will be just fine. You guys make an adorable family.

Blair- Hope you feel better soon. I am sure you are okay without the Lovenex if two of your docs think its okay, but I would struggle with that decision too...especially if your RE intended you to stay on it (he/she truly is the expert in the endocrine system). I wouldn't even begin to hesitate to call him/her to ask their opinion, and then I would do exactly that.

Anna- that is the first pic I have seen of you other than the one in your siggy. You are so cute with your brown hair! I guess we have all changed a lot since our wedding pics. Beautiful bump. Almost there...hang in there.

Brogan John Wilson was born at 2:55 a.m. on July 4th. It was a textbook labour and delivery after only two contractions and five pushes! I will be writing the birth story out and posting it... here is a photo..

HUGE congrats to the other new moms..... and of course to Marlo's mom - she is GORGEOUS!!

Amanda - Maribel is just GORGEOUS!!! I showed DH and he said, "WOW! That's a headful of hair!" Congrats, Momma! I'm sure she'll be back in your arms soon. I read about c-sec babies possibly having "wet" lungs from not being pushed through the birth canal... I wonder if it's something like that, maybe??

Sonya - What a BABE your Brogan is!!! I LOVE the light hair! I can't tell if it's blond or strawberry blond, but I think it's super cute! Congrats, you made it, Momma!
