Hi all,

I just wanted to quickly introduce myself as I might be soon on the road to #2. I hope you all don't mind my jumping into your conversation like this. Hopefully I'm not crossing lines here.

I'm nervous and excited to go through this process again. This time will be different financially. We used to live in Massachusetts and our insurance there was pretty perfect, and barely had to pay anything. Now, we live in New Mexico and the law and our insurance sucks, so finances might be an issue for us. We have 3 frozen embies we're trying to have transported closer to us. Our hope is that since it's just transfering the embies to my womb, it won't be that costy, but we're not sure yet. We'll see. In any case, I look forward to getting to know all of you and provide support for the months to come with cycles and pregnancies. Hugs to all. I promise I'll read back all your post and get up to speed with your stories.

Hi Esperanza! Welcome welcome! I remember your name from previous cycles I've been on. Looks like we've both been busy the past 2+ years with our little miracles :). Good luck with your cycle, hope your insurance comes through in a good way!

Okay, so now I am a bit stressed, because after 4 days of puregon (300), no follie growth. Is that normal? I seriously have forgotten!

I am super wiped out, physically and mentally.

Sue- how you feeling today? Laying low for the 2ww? You're in my thoughts and prayers!

Hugs and babies to all!

Hiya everybody. Thanks for all the encouraging words. I am still having trouble mustering up some PMA! But I am hoping for the best for my 5 and 6 cell embryos inside. A lot of people have told me about IVF successes with lower quality embryos which gives me hope. I feel woozy and tired with some cramping, but experience tells me it is just the Progesterone pessearies. I also feel grumpy with a short fuse--I forgot how grueling the 2WW becomes! At least my girl keeps me busy. That is one big difference with trying for number 2--there is just not a lot of free time to dwell and worry and go crazy on Google!

Esperanza--welcome. I remember your name from cycles past. I hope you get your insurance sorted and that your FET is inexpensive and results in a sibling!!!

Kerpuppies--wow--congrats on 5.5 FSH!! That is amazing. And that is so cool that you are in a research study with special testing and such a high success rate!!! Is it free if you are in a research study? Your cycle sounds very promising! When do you start stims?

Shari~-Thanks so much for cheering me on--I need it! Did you have a scan on day 4 of Puregon? Is that how you know the follies haven't grown yet? I usually had some growth by day 4--I was also on 300 units Puregon. But sometimes they worried my follies grew too quickly. Apparently the best follies are not too fast and not too slow! When is your next scan?

Cheering you on Sue! Welcome welcome Esperanza! :D

Aunt Flo arrived yesterday, so I start my estrodial injections tonight. They had a lot of trouble getting my estrogen levels up last time, hence the injections instead of the pills. I only have to do it every three days though, so that's nice. Just that and a daily low dose aspirin. :D I go in for a sono to check my lining on July 11, and we go from there. I really wanted to stretch the transfer until the end of the first week of August, but it looks like it will have to be sooner.

Shari--just wondering how your follies are doing now? I hope they are growing and ready for collection soon. Give us an update when you get a chance.

Chris--thank you so much for the well wishes. my bloodtest is Friday. I will be shocked if this works--I'm not feeling very confidant at the moment.

Karen--where did you go? I hope all is well--hope to hear from you.

I am worried as I started feeling crampy today like I'm getting my period and there will be no hope. Feeling full of doubts. I will be really shocked if this works.

Sue-
Thanks for remembering about my follies- so, yeah, there's been growth. Today there were about six, ranging from 11-16mm (I think 1 was 16, 2 were 14.5, one 13, one 12, one 11). I had an acupuncture treatment yesterday, and there sure was lots of growth within two days. So it def. didn't hurt!

I can't imagine that my trigger is far off. Blood and U/S again on Thurs.

So Sue, how far off is your beta test? You sound pretty calm, you are strong! I am really excited for your beta. Try not to read too much into cramping, I had cramping before my positive pregnancy test with my son. Perhaps u did too with daughter and just don't remember?

Dogzrule- perhaps our transfers will coincide? Good luck!

~~General note: Okay, who among us is feeling like a pincushion?? Yes, I've done this before, but you forget after a 4-yr. break. Between the blood tests, poking and prodding with U/S (pressing down on my preggo stretch marks on belly <OUCH> since vaginally is hard to see due to caesarean), acupuncture needles, and puregon injections  . I guess that is my excuse for seeking comfort in my son's super sweet ice pops tonight. I deserve it, dammit! . Okay, the rant is over... ~~

Hugs to all!

well pregnancy has been severly kicking my ass of late. it doesn't put a damper on my gratitude, but it just makes a lot of things hard.. i will catch up on personals later, my best to you all

Hi! Catching up on reading the messages here. I have found that doing this with two little girls running around is a challenge. I would be in the bathroom trying to do an injection and they would be pounding on the door asking me what I was doing. Things went slower with this cycle, but it was more like my first one. The doctors were surprised, but I figured I am 39 now so everything is a little slower. I had my ER today and have 21 eggs. I asked for more narcotic this time. I ended up laughing during it which was very strange. I did have a lot more bleeding this time and was very dizzy. I will hear about firtilization tomorrow. Hoping for a perfect 3 or 3.

Alas--it was negative for me. I am crushed. I forgot what a headgame this is! I can't say I am surprised as my embies were not as good as past cycles. But I was hoping none-the-less. This just sucks. I forgot how much this hurts--what a heck of a process to go through for nothing!

Shari--did you have collection yet? I hope you have tons of ripe follies.

oh sue, i'm so, so, sorry... when my FET failed, i was crushed... and i had thought before my beta that 'i'd be ok cause i have DS', but it just wasn't true... and then i felt guilty- as if being disappointed somehow meant i was ungrateful for DS and the miracle that he is... ugh, it was awful.. so BIG hugs to you right now.. i wish i could make it better for you.. wishing you love and peace during this next while

SueQiwi - So sorry for your negative. I could imagine weather it for our first or 5th child, its still hard to take. Will you try again.

I already have thoughts in my head for a second. I'm not getting any younger and we want two children. So after this little guy is born, I'll take about a 6 to 8 month break and be back on the roller coaster ride. we will try again with my eggs. DH really wants a genetic child of mine. I don't think i will ever be looking forward to this process again. Oh well, i still have a year to go. Going to enjoy this little boy first.

Sue-
Sorry to hear your news... this whole process is so hard, we have to balance between not getting our hopes up, yet having a positive attitude. Tough emotion to hold on to. Hope you are feeling better about it once u read this, but I realize it takes time.

Well, I have my ER tomorrow. My hubby went to his parents with DS, then coming here about 5am, leaving DS there so we can go together. Yeesh, a bit nervous! Gonna just relax tonight as much as possible.

Have a great week all!

Sue, I am so sorry. Right now I am totally convinced that I will be ok if it's a bfn, but who really knows until the result is in? I'm just so sorry that it did not work for you.
