Hi easley! Welcome! My RE said anything over 50 is good.

Nancy: good to hear about the meds.

Dallas: Glad to hear that you are feeling better. And I'm jealous that you get to see you babies every time! :D

Bliss: SO cute that DH wants a boy. I asked my DH the other day and he is non-committal, as usual. If I had a choice, I'd like to have another little girl. We already have all the girl stuff from DD (financial plus) and I have a sister, so I'm very familiar with the 2-girl concept. When it comes down to it, as long as baby is healthy, I'm stoked either way. We even have a girl/boy named picked out in either event. Can I share? :D Grady for a boy and Caroline for a girl. Add whoever the baby is, he/she is doing a great job of making me sick! You ladies are feeling better and I have my head in a toilet! Oh, the joys of pregnancy! :D :D :D

Can you believe the Casey Anthony verdict? Shocking and sad, either way . . .

Dallas- Yay for frequent ultrasounds! This is the first week I haven't had one in 4 weeks so I am jonesin' for my ultrasound fix. Ha ha. I am going to try to make it to 7/21 without calling and begging for one. Congrats on the improving m/s. You are 9 days ahead of me so I am watching you closely. :-) My m/s is doing the same thing. I have a great day, do too much, and then have a tough day. But I am at least glad to be having those great days. And I still love the reminder that everything is okay.

Nancy- the end to the pain in your end is in sight. :-) Have you asked about injecting anywhere else like your thigh? That sounds tough and painful to me, but if your hips are bad it might be worth it. They think estrogen is a major culprit in m/s so getting rid of that supplement may help if you have m/s. Haven't really heard you whine about it like I do so I am not sure if you have been inflicted with it or not.

Easley- Welcome! I remember you and am very excited about your beta. 88 is a good start. Are they going to do a second? You will technically be due in winter, right? So you are in the right place! Good luck with your next steps.

Mora- I am feeling better...then worse...then better...then worse. Hopefully things will get better soon for you. No...I can't believe the verdict. I haven't followed it closely because I couldn't handle it given our incredible quest to achieve something someone else so clearly had little regard for protecting. Still, it was a tough case without a lot of clear evidence. I still would have thought we would see a hung jury in that case, not a not guilty verdict that only took two days. So very sad, whatever really happened. All I can say is that I hope karma/life makes it right.

Alisa,

I can't even imagine doing it in the thigh. I'll just suffer through w/ the backside. LOL LOL I haven't thrown up any but I definitely feel close to it much of the day (especially from about 10am until bedtime) Smells really gag me. Good to know about the estrogen. Right now I just take it twice a week.

Had to go see the doc today... You don't even want to know why! Ugh...Discharge issues and they are putting me on an antibiotic for it. Why??? The esterase tabs I was taking vaginally didn't dissolve and congealed in two giant balls. I had no idea! Glad I called and went in due to the discharge (it had started breaking up and coming out). So sorry for the TMI. :(

Anyway, while I was there they listened with a Doppler for the first time. It was too early for a heartbeat... But we definitely heard a kick! I love knowing all is well. :)

Good luck on the beta Easley! I was crashing on the summer board earlier while waiting for the doc. You ladies have had a string of luck lately!!! Be sure to tell them to join us on the other side!

Had my NT screening today. I was just so excited to see my babies, its been 2wks! Everything looked GREAT! The whole u/s process took about 30min so I got to watch my babies dance on the tv screen all I wanted. I have one that is always VERY active and one that is a little more sleepy. When you try to make him/her wake up it looks like they have a temper tantrum, its too cute! My next appt is with my ob in 2wks, cant wait. I did break down and buy a baby name book yet eventhough we said we wouldnt even think about names until we find out the sexes on Aug 11th.

Alissa: No such thing as TMI on these boards =) Glad you went to the doc . . . our bodies go through so many changes! with DD, I just figured my body didn't really belong to me anymore; it belonged to the baby. I just threw my hands up in the air and let nature to whatever it wanted. What else can you do? :D

addy: good luck today =)

Dallas: yay for a good screening . . . I always felt those tests were a double edged sword . . . excited to see the baby, but scared ther doc would find something wrong . . . any names yet? ;)

AFM: had my first OB appt yesterday . . . had an u/s and saw the little guy . . . measuring at 10w1day . . . a little ahead of schedule . . . h/b was a great . . . I stop my PIO shots tonight! Kinda scared, but relieved to be taking the next step :D

Dallas- awesome on the scan! You made me and DH laugh with the description of the temper tantrum. So adorable. I have been wavering on our girls name recently in talking to people, and DH told me last night that he really wants to stick with it and that I was scaring him when I started questioning it. He said he realized how much he loved the name when he found himself hoping for a girl so we could use it. :-) This despite the fact he has gone clearly on record as wanting a boy.

Mora- congrats on the great u/s and graduating from PIO. You know, the m/c rate drops right off to around 3% after you see a heartbeat at 10 weeks. So...congrats! And congrats on stopping PIO too. Yay!

AFM- I forgot to mention that I spent the Fourth sitting on my deck and building our birth plan. I know its early, but I wanted to get going early so my doctors all get used to it and I can reiterate points every time I visit. The reason is that I live in a small community and there is only one game in town. Its a larger OB/GYN practice. Anyway, I found out from my friend that they have a c-section rate that is higher than national average by about 10%. They also refuse to work with midwives, and so does the local hospital. We almost went with a home birth because they seem a little "intervention happy", but when all was said and done I couldn't do it after all we have been through. I still have much love for modern technology! But I still want a natural birth if at all possible, so I am going to begin drilling it into their heads from visit 2!

Anyway, I found a terrific planning tool that really helped and I thought I would pass it along.

Bliss - hehe let me know how you like it. DH says I shouldn't buy one, because I would probably have that thing attached to me at all times :) I think it's great that you have already started your birth plan. And it sounds like your OB practice is one where you want to drill your birth plan into them at all times. Thanks for the link! I'm definitely going to create one soon.

deftonesmo - Yay on stopping your pio shots! And congrats on a wonderful u/s.

Dallas - So happy that your NT screening went well!! I was playing with my dog last night, chasing her around and throwing toys and the baby didn't approve. The little one started acting up and I had to stop. I think I have a baby that is very chill. It's so funny how they have personalities already.

AFM - not much going on at the moment. We are going out for our anniversary dinner tonight, and across the street is a Buy Buy Baby, so DH wants to go in and take a look around. I feel like it's kind of early, but I'm really excited to start looking at cribs and toys and clothes. When the time comes, I may need all of your help on names. We haven't really started talking about names, because we know it's going to be a loooong discussion. DH is a teacher and he has a lot of names he doesn't like because they remind him of students. I'm Jewish, and it's a tradition to name your child after a relative that has passed away. So for this baby, I want a first and middle name that starts with a M and P. We haven't found any names that we can agree on that begin with those letters. I figure when we find out the flavor we can sit down and hash it out.

Alissa: How's the doppler? Amazing, I bet! I could never bring myself to buy one. I know the first time I couldn't get the hb, I would freak out and wouldn't relax until I had an u/s. I'm awful! Oh, and regarding birth plans . . . well first, let me start off by saying I hope I don't come off as "I had a baby and I'm an expert blah blah blah" . . . that being said, I would suggest keeping an open mind when it comes to having a birth plan . . . there are so many unknown variables on the day of delivery . . . my best friend had her heart set on a natural delivery, but complications arose and she had an epidural and a c-section and to this day, she still beats herself up, feeling disappointed and blaming herself for failing . . . I think it's awesome that you want to have a natural childbirth! AFM, I went in with an open mind. I told myself, let's just see what happens. I made it to 7cm and then had an epidural and vaginal delivery . . . I'd hate for you to have your heart set on a birth plan and then circumstances beyond your control prevent that from happening . . . I think it's a great idea to know what you want, but just keep an open mind in case things go off course . . . :D I'll get off my soapbox now :D

Dallas: yay for a great NT testing!

Addy: I'm a teacher too and named can be a challenge! But you'll find the perfect one!

AFM: no more PIO! Yay! I got some zofran and am feeling better. NT testing is next week. Fingers crossed =)

Hey ladies- hope all is well!

Addy- it sounds like you have quite the process ahead of you with choosing a name. Good luck. We've known our first names for years, but still need to pick middle names (West or Evelyn...who we will call Eve). I'll let you know on the doppler, if I ever receive it. I had it sent to the office and have been distracted looking for it the last several days. Can't wait to test it out. It will come tomorrow for sure, it was shipped on Saturday and I paid for 2 day delivery so that's the latest it should arrive. Happy Anniversary! Hope your evening was fabulous.

Mora- we were posting at the exact same time when I saw your message. Your advice is very much appreciated and I value your experience. Trust me, I am all for medical science and doing what is best for my baby and me. So I am fully prepared for the plan to be blown to smithereens if that's what it takes. :-) I know a lot of women who feel like your friend. I won't get so married to the plan that it will disappoint me if it doesn't work out, especially if it saves me or my baby from risk or unnecessary pain, which is ultimately why I opted against the home birth when it came down to it. There is also a part of me that LOVES the idea of medication so I won't be devastated if I can't do it. Unlike a lot of women, I actually feel great and enjoy the period right after my retrievals when I get to go home and sleep off the twilight meds. It was a tough choice to decide to go natural, but I am going to give it my all now that the decision has been made. Haven't received the Doppler yet...still anxiously waiting! Curious- were you induced or did you go naturally? I hear pitocin makes labor a lot tougher.

AFM- I feel just awful! Not as sick as I was, but I have never been so tired. Wow.... the beautiful little body snatcher sure takes a lot out of you. :-)

Hi Ladies,

Well today was my last appointment w/ my RE. I've been released to my midwife. Ultrasound today went great. I'll be 9 weeks tomorrow and baby measured 9 weeks 1 day today. The heart rate was either 172 or 179 (I can't remember which now) LOL Feels so odd knowing I won't be going back to RE. They said "send pictures when baby is born or even better bring baby in" ♥♥♥

I'm feeling yucky and like I could throw up any moment most of the time but it's worth it!!!

Nancy- congrats on graduation and on a great ultrasound with a perfect HB and healthy baby! Do you have a OB picked out yet?

AFM- Got the Doppler today. It took FOREVER but I found the HB. It was unmistakable and I was ecstatic. I am putting it away for a few days I think to give the baby a rest and a little time to grow. I have a tilted uterus and I think that makes it even tougher to find early on. Its a pretty frustrating process, especially since I lost it a minute after finding it. As long as it took to find it, I still wasn't worried. As awful as I have felt the last few days I was pretty confident things were going well!
