So I am going through my first AF since my left tube has been taken out two months ago/hydrosalphinx.. anywho, I have been feeling some insane pain.. my whole history with AF I have taken Ibuprofen and used a heating pad.
DH and I are so excited to be getting our first chance after surgery!!! However, I read that ib can cause problems for implantation?!?!? now I am out of my mind wondering if I have ruined the chances on this go around?? I have probly taken about 1400 mg over the past three days or so.. I definatly will not be taking it anymore
Can anyone shed some light on this situation and possibly put my mind at ease??

I have been through three fresh ivf cycles and three frozen. Our first fresh cycle did not work. So... they went back to the drawing board to figure out why. Our next cycle was a FET, and they added an angry uterus protocol with this cycle - this included 600 mg ibuprofen three times a day, as well as xanex, and prednisone to keep my uterus "relaxed". Well, it worked - we had a son from this cycle and he is now six. I started this protocol the day of the transfer and followed it through the first trimester. I used the same protocol for the next FET and got pregnant but miscarried. Again with a fresh cycle and got pregnant and had my 2nd son - now 3. Another FET, got pregnant and miscarried. And am currently waiting the results of the fresh cycle we did on July 3rd. So... I don't think that the ibuprofen will affect your implantation chances. As you can see from my history, I've achieved 4 pregnancies on and ibuprofen protocol of 600 mg 3 times a day. I hope this eases your mind a bit. Try not to worry (I know easier said than done) Best of luck!
You won't actually be fertile until about 10-14 after AF starts. My RE seemed to think that ibuprofen would be out of the system within 24 hours and should be okay up until that point. By the way, ibuprofen appears to also increase the rate of m/c. Therefore, you cannot take it after you are pregnant either. Tylenol is considered okay, BUT you must not take above the recommended dose. It can cause liver failure and death if taken in too high a dose. My grandmother actually knew someone who died from too much Tylenold (acetaminphin).
